Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 853: Chapter 855: Do You Know He’s Allergic to Pollen?

Beitang Yao stood still, watching her for a moment before finally speaking, ”Tell me why you insist on taking this hospitality job?”

If she didn’t explain clearly, there was no way he would let her put down her strenuous work and leave.

”Young Master, since you arranged for me to handle the reception, I have no reason to refuse. What I don’t understand is why you would go back on your word and cancel my job.” She had to know that she had prepared everything for the reception job, even making several calls to the Golden Venerate Hotel to repeatedly remind them that no fresh flowers could be placed in the room.

”How did you know Nancy is allergic to pollen?” If Bai Junhao hadn’t called to praise his new secretary for her meticulousness, perhaps he wouldn’t have canceled her hospitality job.

Xia Qingqian’s heart was racing fiercely.

She opened her mouth to speak, but hesitated with some concern. After pondering for a while, she said, ”Young Master, I admit I’m ignorant about some celebrities. After hearing you say that Nancy is the hottest planner in the world, I couldn’t help but look up information about him online.”

When she lied, her hands and feet would fidget uncontrollably, and her face would flush red.

These were signs of lying, but the consequences of her lies were dire.

Sure enough, his icy eyes narrowed as he reached out his slender fingers, which carried a faint scent of tobacco, and firmly pinched her chin. ”It’s best if you truly researched it. Do you know the consequences of deceiving me?”

He wouldn’t believe her words at all; it was all just to fool him.

Xia Qingqian panicked. She didn’t know what she did wrong. She only reminded the staff at the Golden Venerate Hotel not to place fresh flowers in Nancy’s suite.

Her mistake was in repeatedly reminding them, which angered Beitang Yao.

Why was she only curious to search online about Nancy, and not Beitang Yao? The outside world was abuzz with stories of him; he was a prodigy in the business world and a legend. Why wasn’t she curious enough to look up information about him?

”... Young Master, I guessed...” This would have to do, right? She didn’t expect her carelessness would betray her.

In fact, she wasn’t even sure if Nancy was her Brother Zhenyu. To be safe, she insisted on reminding the Golden Venerate Hotel staff, only to be caught by Beitang Yao in the act.

”Since you have such abilities, then you should guess whether Nancy will return to Beitang Group to take on the planner position?” His ink-black eyes were filled with an urgent and angry light that was difficult to decipher.

She was afraid of his overpowering aura, almost pressing her down.

She became even more troubled. Would Nancy not necessarily return to Beitang Group? What was going on? Did they have some kind of conflict?

Thinking that she couldn’t personally host Nancy tomorrow, she also considered the possibility that Nancy might not choose Beitang Group.

Her heart fluttered, her brows twitching slightly, as if she didn’t understand what Beitang Yao meant.

She swallowed hard, ”Young Master, Beitang Group is a globally renowned company, Mr. Nan will surely choose Beitang Group.”

Could it be that the Young Master didn’t believe in the immense power of Beitang Group? Everyone wants to join Beitang Group, so why would Nancy give up such a great opportunity?

”If we were 100% confident, why would we need to send someone personally to host Nancy?” Beitang Yao also felt a headache. It wasn’t that without Nancy they couldn’t accomplish anything. It’s just that HDC502 was a plan Nancy left behind before departing, and they had spent four years developing this perfume. How could they give up so easily?

Moreover, the planner for this perfume could only be Nancy.
