Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

Su Xihe did not continue the topic.

Perhaps she felt her sister would not admit it.

Or perhaps...

She cannot accept a certain truth!

However, there is still one question she cannot get answered.

Su Xiyue’s root bone.

Even if... her sister has developed mortal desires.

It shouldn’t have anything to do with the root bone.

Su Xihe is a bit puzzled why her sister would hide this from her.

She began reminiscing about Su Xiyue’s childhood to play the emotional card.

Finally, she sighed lightly, and in a very worried tone she said, ”Xiyue, you know your sister, I’m only an Upper Grade Spirit Bone. The reason I could become the Sect Leader is entirely because of you, so, the people in the sect simply do not respect me as the Sect Leader...”

”You know, all these years, I’ve been very tired and suffered a lot. If... if I could have a Top Grade Spirit Bone, who would dare show me a face?!”

Indeed, because of her root bone, as Sect Leader, her combat power is somewhat lacking.

Her advantage lies in her spiritual power.

Alchemy, Talisman, Array... Her achievements are quite good. It could be because she studied broadly, so she’s not top-notch in any field.

Though she looks good overall, compared with the sect leaders of the other two Immortal Sects, she falls far short.

”If I could have a Top Grade Spirit Bone, I would pay any price, sister would be willing...”

Su Xihe sighed.

This indeed comes from the heart.

However, upon hearing this, Su Xiyue suddenly glanced at her.

Though she didn’t speak, for some reason, Su Xihe always felt that there was an inexplicable look in her sister’s eyes.

Does she think I am unwilling to pay the price?!

”Xiyue, you must believe in sister, no matter the trials ahead, no matter how painful and heart-wrenching, sister can endure just like you!”

She spoke with great conviction!

Although she might seem lazy to her good friend Liu Zixiao, that’s because, having reached Golden Core Peak, she has no room for advancement anymore.

If there were any possibility, any hope, why would she choose to lay flat?!

A Golden Core lasts only five hundred years.

”...”

The more she said, the more unusual Su Xiyue’s gaze became.

Especially when Sect Leader mentioned pain, it made Su Xiyue recall the scene of suppressing Qin Yu.

Pain?

Perhaps, at the beginning, under the waterfall, there was.

But later... though Su Xiyue was unwilling to admit it, she could confirm, it wasn’t pain, but rather...

Quite enjoyable.

This pure and noble fairy’s legs, unknowingly, had pressed together underwater.

”Xiyue, back then Zixiao said your throat was hoarse, it should be because you couldn’t bear the pain of the test, right...”

Seeing she still remained silent, Su Xihe decided to speak directly.

After all, between sisters, what can’t be said?!

Su Xiyue’s expression suddenly became unnatural.

Indeed it was so oppressive that she... screamed all night.

”Xiyue, though sister hasn’t tried it, she can definitely endure it!”

This had been the third time Sect Leader made such a promise.

It shows her desire to improve her root bone!

Su Xiyue’s mouth twitched.

She didn’t doubt her sister’s determination, nor was she being selfish as a sister, but this thing... she really couldn’t speak about.

Even if she did, sister might not believe it.

Surely she couldn’t let sister try it with her newly accepted disciple?!

If she did, chances are it wouldn’t be sister who’d try.

It would be her disciple who’d perish!

So, no matter how much more Su Xihe said, Su Xiyue still didn’t utter a word.

Sect Leader felt very helpless.

But she still couldn’t understand why when talked about, her sister would look at her with such eyes.

An entire night.

The sisters stayed together until dawn, then Su Xihe left and returned to her cave mansion.

Today there seemed to be no issues.

She headed to the swinging chair in the courtyard, then took out a book but laid it aside after reading half a page.

Mostly due to Qin Yu.

Although sister didn’t admit it, she sensed some clues.

”Could it be, Xiyue really has developed mortal desires?”

Su Xihe muttered.

Appearance?

Shouldn’t be.

Talent?

Seems unlikely.

What else could it be?

Surely not some absurd and chaotic reason?!

Sect Leader’s brows furrowed.

Unable to comprehend, she set it aside for now; looking up, the sun had risen.

Hmm.

That Qin Yu hasn’t come to seek her?!

She was already preparing to be a strict teacher.

She must supervise him well!

So she called over a maid and gave instructions.

Qin Yu was training early in the morning.

Upon waking, he found Zhao Mengli snacking, naturally, he wouldn’t be stingy.

Later, Lin Qianqian and his beautiful master were also drawn in.

But, a ripple was heard outside the cave mansion.

”Did Master Sect Leader summon me?”

Qin Yu assumed teaching and guidance would start after the apprenticeship banquet, but didn’t expect the Sect Leader to be so impatient.

He certainly could not refuse.

He tidied up and followed the maid to the Sect Leader’s Cave Mansion.

But this time, they didn’t go to the front court but to a garden in the backyard.

”In the cave mansion, so many spirit medicines are cultivated!”

Qin Yu was shocked.

At a glance, this garden was three acres large, divided into grids, each filled with different spirit medicines.

Some like flowers, some like grass, and there was even a small tree bearing fruits the size of longan.

Moreover, the spiritual Qi here was extremely rich, even condensing into mist, swirling among the spirit medicines, visibly extraordinary.

He looked closely and found none were familiar, hadn’t even heard of them.

Understandably.

This is the Lord of the Immortal Sect’s Cave Mansion, how could the spirit medicines planted here be ordinary?

”Master Sect Leader is over here, please.”

The maid seemed to know Qin Yu would react this way, but she didn’t explain, merely gave a reminder, signaling Qin Yu to follow.

Upon hearing this, Qin Yu snapped out of his daze and quickly followed.

Passing through the garden, they arrived before a pavilion.

”Alchemy Pavilion!”

”This is where Master Sect Leader normally practices alchemy, Master is already waiting, you may enter.”

With those words, the maid left.

Qin Yu gazed at the Alchemy Pavilion, did not enter directly, instead bowed respectfully, ”Master, disciple Qin Yu pays respect.”

Though now Su Xihe’s disciple, he dared not be complacent, maintaining absolute reverence.

After all, everything in the Immortal Sect was granted by Su Xihe, his well-being depends entirely on her whims.

If he angered her, even Fairy Xiyue couldn’t protect him.

Therefore, being respectful and cautious is essential.
