Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

Su Xiyue stood gracefully in the courtyard, poised and elegant.

The moonlight flowed like fine silk, gently draped across her form, making her appear like a fairy descending from the heavens, her bearing extraordinary, all worldly dust washed away.

At this moment, she lowered her head, lost in thought, a hint of loneliness barely detectable upon her face.

Her robes swayed lightly, like ripples upon the lake, accentuating her slender and graceful figure to perfection.

Suddenly, as if startled by a subtle sound within the house.

She finally lifted her head slowly, her lips parted ever so slightly, trembling gently, forming a charming arc. That ethereal visage resembled a river in spring, lightly stirred by the breeze, or the fleeting bloom of an epiphyllum flower—here and gone in an instant.

The next moment.

Qin Yu pushed the door open and stepped out.

”Congratulations, Fairy!”

Though he still showed her the same respect as always, when Su Xiyue saw Qin Yu again, she felt a tinge of shyness and a touch of awkwardness.

It was even somewhat forced, yet as captivating as the moment ice and snow melt away.

Qin Yu was a little dazed.

He wasn’t sure if that was a smile, yet it tugged at his heartstrings—his gaze, his mind, filled only with that figure robed in white.

However, Fairy Xiyue simply turned around.

Out of his sight, the fairy bit gently at her lips, her complexion gradually returning to calm.

Then, without waiting for Qin Yu to speak, she used Spiritual Power to bring him once again to that familiar room.

This time, things were different than before.

Fairy Xiyue did not immediately push him down as she had done in the past.

She merely stood there quietly.

The darkness made it impossible to see her expression, yet Qin Yu could sense that this fairy seemed somewhat restrained.

Truth be told, Su Xiyue never really knew how to face him, so she put on the airs of a Fairy, relying on her presence to intimidate.

In the beginning, she had sought out Qin Yu solely to heal her injuries swiftly. And then with Liu Zixiao trapped, she was so desperate she even did those... absurd acts.

She suppressed Qin Yu for four days straight!

Thinking back now, it was strange—this fellow was always in better shape than her.

Su Xiyue realized that the person before her was not as simple as he appeared.

But Qin Yu misunderstood, thinking the Fairy was feeling inhibited, so he took the initiative and changed clothes.

Then, very conscientiously, he lay down upon the bed.

”...”

Seeing this, Su Xiyue nearly turned and left on the spot.

Now, all was settled—her mindset was decidedly different from before!

She had only come here to have a simple interaction with Qin Yu...

Ahem!

A proper conversation!

After all, to this day she still didn’t know Qin Yu’s name.

She was about to return to the Immortal Sect.

Clearly, she had the notion of bringing Qin Yu back to the Cyan Mountain Sect.

Lin Xian City was unsafe. Because of her, the Hundred Sword Sect would surely come to investigate; then, who could say what might happen?

She had never expected this fellow to be so direct!

Could it be...

Did I come to him for nothing else?!

Thinking this, Su Xiyue was momentarily stunned.

It seemed that every time she came to him in the past, indeed... aside from that, there were no other reasons.

Fairy Xiyue blushed again, biting her lips so hard they turned pale.

Should I leave?

But the matter at hand hasn’t been discussed; otherwise, why would she come out so late at night?

Not leaving...

This fellow has already done this.

If nothing happens, won’t it be awkward for both of them?

Then...

For the sake of relieving his awkwardness, should I force myself a little?

And, by the way, gain some more experience, and improve my Root Bone?

After all, who wouldn’t want a better Root Bone?!

Just like the beautiful master, who once longed for Upper Grade Mortal Bone—once she obtained it, immediately yearned for Spirit Bone. Otherwise, how could she let her rebellious disciple act so wantonly?

Fairy Xiyue’s mentality was much the same.

Not knowing much about Dao Bone, Su Xiyue wasn’t sure what level her Root Bone truly was.

Yet one thing was certain—the more Warm Current she obtained, the faster her physique would improve!

And there was only one way to acquire Warm Current!

Thinking thus, this holy and aloof Fairy approached Qin Yu, her gaze tinged with a unique coldness and disdain.

”Hmph!...”

With a light snort, here follows the omission of one thousand four hundred and fifty-three words.

...

Amidst the rippling emerald waters and verdant mountains, a lone skiff drifted leisurely, blending seamlessly with the tranquil scenery.

On board sat a beautiful boat maiden, her figure radiant in the gentle dancing light upon the water.

”Singing mountain songs, ay...”

A clear, spring-like voice spilled soft from her lips, pure as the wind in the forest, winding through mountains and rivers, lingering melodiously, carrying an untamed natural grace that delighted the heart.

Yet.

Rivers at times run swift and wild.

The little boat could only follow the flow, bobbing up and down, frightening the boat maiden so much that even her singing wavered, breaking off, disjointed and erratic.

The boat didn’t capsize, but she was thoroughly shaken.

Leaving only a sigh behind.

”Rowing a boat is truly exhausting...”

...

[Emotion Point +1 from Su Xiyue]

...

Su Xiyue did not leave directly as she always did before.

This time, she could no longer fool herself, for she couldn’t even conjure up a proper excuse.

Thus, her throat seemed hoarser than usual.

”Would you... be willing to come with me to Cyan Mountain Sect?”

At last she spoke, counting as their first normal conversation.

Qin Yu was startled.

He did not answer right away.

Not because he was weighing options, but because he discovered he... could not bear to part with this Fairy before him.

So be it.

Going to Cyan Mountain Sect was far better than other Immortal sects; at least, having a Saintess shielding him would ward off many troubles.

”Fairy, I have several Dao Companions at home...”

Qin Yu spoke the truth, explaining the situation with Lin Qianqian and her sister, Zhao Mengli, and Yin Qinghe.

”I could never abandon them!”

This was, in fact, quite blunt.

Su Xiyue frowned slightly.

This was the first time she’d heard of or met a cultivator who dared to negotiate terms upon being chosen by an Immortal Sect.

Yet her face showed little surprise.

Because she had long guessed that Qin Yu was unable to leave his Dao Companions, which was why he returned to Lin Xian City.

So naturally, he could forsake entry to an Immortal Sect, all for their sake!

Her reason for frowning was how she could reasonably bring Qin Yu’s four Dao Companions into the Immortal Sect.

Yin Qinghe and Zhao Mengli were actually not an issue.

But those Lin Qianqian sisters... perhaps only just became cultivators, their talent unimpressive, Root Bone merely Middle Grade Mortal Bone, truly ordinary at best.

Such people absolutely had no fate with an Immortal Sect.

”Fairy, actually, I possess some other talents as well...”

Qin Yu understood her predicament, and after some thought, chose not to hide—letting his Spiritual Power overflow.

High Tier upon entry!

Such Spiritual Power, even among the Immortal Sects, was rare, but most importantly—his age.

Feeling the magnitude of his Spiritual Power, Su Xiyue was stunned.
