Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

”Sect Leader, imparting knowledge is actually not difficult. As long as you sincerely pass on your own insights, your own Dao, it will suffice.”

It seemed Liu Zixiao was aware of Su Xihe’s concerns, and she patiently analyzed it for her.

Su Xihe, upon hearing this, turned back to glare at her, and said, ”Hearing this, it sounds as if you’ve had the experience of imparting knowledge to others.”

Liu Zixiao was momentarily at a loss for words. Indeed, she had never had a disciple, nor had she ever considered taking one.

The reason being, she feared the endless trivial matters would disturb her peace and freedom.

Just like this, unfettered and free — wouldn’t that be wonderful?

”Ha.”

Seeing Liu Zixiao in such a state, Su Xihe couldn’t help but let out a light snort.

Such little thoughts of Liu Zixiao, how could she fail to see through them?

She simply didn’t want to teach a disciple, just wanted her, the Sect Leader, to do the exhausting and wearying tasks.

However, upon thinking about this, suddenly, something stirred in Su Xihe’s heart, as if she thought of something.

”Zixiao, how about this, I’ll teach him the art of Alchemy, while you guide his cultivation. If I’m busy with sect affairs, you can supervise on my behalf, how does that sound?”

She also noticed, the four women with Qin Yu were deeply attached to him, and Qin Yu seemed truly infatuated.

This is not acceptable.

Having accepted Qin Yu as a core disciple, and granting him various privileges and benefits, was not to waste his talent, but to hope he becomes a pillar in the Alchemy Dao for the future of the Cyan Mountain Sect.

It was not for him to indulge and get lost in romance.

Therefore, finding a strict teacher for him was imperative. Upon careful consideration, she indeed found herself to be the most suitable.

As a sect leader, lowering her status to personally teach him was indeed inappropriate, but for the future development of the Immortal Sect, she couldn’t afford to mind too much.

As for why she proposed this, of course, as good sisters, how could such great opportunities not be shared together?!

”No way.”

Almost as Su Xiyue’s voice dropped, Liu Zixiao instinctively refused.

”Why is it not possible? Didn’t you say earlier that imparting knowledge is very simple?” Su Xihe’s tone carried a hint of displeasure.

Liu Zixiao’s mouth twitched, and she explained, ”You know very well, I’m entangled in various trivial matters and have no leisure to teach disciples.”

”Do you think I have plenty of free time?!”

Su Xihe widened her eyes.

She was the Sect Leader, with even more matters to handle. Just look at her, she seemed somewhat haggard, and yet, no one could share this kind of pressure.

Liu Zixiao was instantly speechless.

Annoyed at herself, why did she feel like she had dug a pit for herself to jump into?

If she had known, she wouldn’t have added that sentence.

”Forget it, let’s discuss this later. For now, let’s observe quietly. If he can cultivate diligently without distractions, we can give him timely guidance. If he indulges in mundane matters and cannot extricate himself, I wouldn’t mind being a strict teacher for once.”

Finally, Su Xihe didn’t insist.

In fact, concerns were concerns, but she had internally accepted taking in such a gifted disciple. There was nothing bad about it.

The main point was, if Qin Yu was always under her watch, she could also observe whether her sister Su Xiyue had any interaction with him.

Moreover, if Qin Yu accomplished something, in the future, she could pass on the position of Sect Leader to her sister and enjoy a leisurely life.

Liu Zixiao nodded slightly, without saying more.

Soon, night fell, and Su Xihe didn’t rest, but decided to find her sister Su Xiyue.

She had too many questions she wanted to ask.

Their caves were actually adjacent, and with a movement, she appeared in front of Su Xiyue’s cave.

”Xiyue, are you asleep?”

”No.”

After a while, a faint response came from inside. Then, the array outside the cave rippled, and Su Xihe entered.

Su Xiyue was still meditating, with surging Spiritual Qi around her.

”Is this the affinity of the Dao Bone...”

Su Xihe was somewhat shocked, and at the same time, even more puzzled, her doubts deepening.

Then, she set up an array again to block all external interferences.

Holding Su Xiyue’s hand, they slowly sat down. She didn’t begin asking immediately but just chatted about some everyday matters.

Seeing that it was almost time, she asked, ”Xiyue, at the Ruins Rift, many cultivators witnessed you using a Forbidden Technique...”

”Is it true?”

Su Xiyue gave a slight nod.

She used a Forbidden Technique; too many people had seen it, and even the two outer elders from Hundred Sword Sect had seen it, there was no use hiding.

In an instant, Su Xihe’s heart tightened sharply, her voice involuntarily rising, with a mix of blame and concern: ”Xiyue, how dare you use a Forbidden Technique without permission? You should understand the great price that must be paid...”

With that, she urgently held her sister’s hand again, carefully sensing Su Xiyue’s meridians and Dantian.

Su Xiyue did not resist, or rather, she didn’t want her sister to worry.

”Hmm?”

However, no matter how meticulously Su Xihe sensed, she could not detect any existence of injury, which left her in surprise, asking with astonishment: ”Xiyue, how did your injuries heal?”

She gave Liu Zixiao a lot of elixirs.

But she was aware, those elixirs definitely couldn’t completely cure the injuries from using a Forbidden Technique.

Because, typically, the injuries from using a Forbidden Technique are irreversible!

”Could it be... it’s because of the Dao Bone?!”

Perhaps this was the only possibility?

Su Xihe immediately shifted the topic to the Root Bone, which was also what she most wanted to know.

”Xiyue, can you now tell your sister how your Dao Bone came to be?”

However.

The only response she got was Su Xiyue’s deep silence.

It wasn’t that she was unwilling to say, it was just that the way she obtained that Warm Current was too unbelievable, once she spoke...

She simply couldn’t imagine how her sister would look at her after hearing it.

Just sketching out that image in her heart made ripples in Su Xiyue’s state of mind. She lightly bit her lower lip to suppress the panic to the bottom of her heart.

In the waiting, Su Xihe’s brow slowly furrowed.

Although her sister’s nature had been a bit cold before, she has never been like this, not even speaking to her about something.

The two of them should be the most trustworthy people to each other!

”Xiyue, only you and I are here, sister assures you, it will never reach a third ear.” Su Xihe held her hand, her gaze sincere, earnestly making a promise.

But Su Xiyue remained silent, lowering her gaze, she didn’t even look at her.

This left Su Xihe confused and even more doubtful, her heart itching with curiosity.

She tried many methods, however, no matter how she beat around the bush, Su Xiyue wouldn’t say a word. Eventually, a thought flashed through her mind like lightning, and she blurted out, ”Xiyue, could your multiple night outings be related to the Dao Bone matter?”
