One-Eyed Monster

Igor’s lips curled up; this was an unexpected result.

Plans never catch up with changes; it seems Igor has never truly completed a plan.

However, even so, Igor always gains a lot each time.

It’s a difficult thing to say; Igor can now be completely at ease because the two spirits he carries are entirely trustworthy. Ever since they developed emotions, they have become increasingly sensitive. Previously, when Igor communicated with that old woman, he gained a detailed understanding of this matter. The world of Spirits has undergone significant upheaval, and the biggest variable is that these spirits now have emotions. The emergence of emotions has complicated the Spirit World.

The content of Igor’s communication with the spirits he carries is no longer important; they can now trust each other, just like spirits being awakened, simply providing energy in exchange.

”Alright, we’ve come to understand each other now.” Igor smiled knowingly. He felt that although restraining himself this time was uncomfortable, the result was ultimately good.

”Don’t harm yourself anymore in the future!”

”Yes, reaching out to us doesn’t require such extremes; we are just a call away. Please don’t do foolish things again; we don’t want to lose a connected Awakener so soon!”

What the spirit said reminded Igor, so he asked again, ”You say each spirit connects with a corresponding Awakener or Awakener. Is it possible that some spirits, like me, I mean relatively, can connect with more than one Awakener or Awakener?”

”Uh, your question... is beyond our understanding scope.”

”Under normal circumstances, such a situation doesn’t exist. But now, who knows, I don’t understand why the world changes so rapidly.”

The spirit’s answer was a bit vague, but it didn’t matter much because Igor believed his hypothesis would eventually be tested, as long as he continued this path.

”You’re saying that under normal circumstances, each spirit connects with an Awakener or Awakener until that person reaches the Eternal Tranquility Realm, right?”

”Yes, that’s how it is understood!”

”Okay, I understand.” Igor nodded, feeling his thoughts were clearer than ever.

He knew what he had to do and what he should do in the future. Suddenly having a goal made him feel no longer empty.

Igor realized that he still needed to improve himself, whether in spirit sensing or in physique technique, all needed enhancement. Additionally, he needed to improve his judgment ability, but there are many things that cannot be improved just by saying so. Growth requires a process that might be very long or very short; no one can say for sure, but now Igor was calm. He had never had such a clear plan.

Although plans never catch up with changes, he decided to move forward with this plan. He made a promise to the two spirits he carried and to himself, and he also recalled the promise he made to Kadi on Guru Mountain.

He would definitely fulfill it.

He would tell Kadi where you come from and where you should go.

He would also tell himself where he comes from and where he should go.

Although the future is unpredictable, and he doesn’t know if his current decision can influence the future, it has all become irrelevant; his current decision comes from his heart, and he is certain he should do so.

What he desires is where he should go.

Perhaps acting so is too pure, a bit too selfish, but he doesn’t have a better choice now.

In his philosophy, everything follows its natural course, even if sometimes bewildered, he would give the right to choose to a branch.

This is his style; now that everything is quiet, it’s time for him to take action.

”We need to collaborate now, so don’t keep playing mysterious in front of me. Being frank means acting frankly.” Igor said to the two spirits.

”No problem, no problem...”

”Should I change myself? Stop being an old lady, uh, you know...”

”Forget it; you should maintain your original old lady appearance, so I can restrain myself from hitting or scolding you.”

”Even if you hit, you couldn’t hit me...”

”What?” Igor got a little angry when he heard it, really wanting to smack this guy.

”Nothing, nothing, I was talking nonsense, you shouldn’t harm yourself anymore, being frank means being frank...” The spirit became quite nervous, understandably, given he had slipped his tongue earlier.

”Forget it, I won’t argue with you. Time waits for no one, and I also have to do something important.”

”That’s right, if there’s anything we can help with, just let us know.” The spirit let out a sigh of relief, unexpectedly Igor suddenly restrained his temper.

”Help? There is something, these Spirit Books.”

”What do you want to do?” The spirit of the Spirit Book was very sensitive because it had experienced Igor tormenting the Spirit Book and still harbored resentment.

”Don’t be nervous; after visiting Dean Hoffman’s library, I became different. I know how I treated the Spirit Book before was wrong. Now I just want to change the way, I mean, I want to change my attitude...” Igor didn’t want to scare them, so he quickly expressed his intentions.

”Then, what do you want to do with these Spirit Books?”

”I’m not trying to do anything to them; I just want to know how to exert their power.” At this moment, Igor was as innocent as a child.

”Haha, actually, you already know the answer, yet you’re asking us!”

”Hmm?” Igor was confused.

”You said we should be frank with each other, so with the Spirit Book, being frank will make them see you as a partner.”

”Exactly, and the Spirit Book is Lord Soron’s masterpiece. Even though many things are outdated, there’s a lot of experience you have yet to have, so you should take a good look.” The old lady’s voice suggested.

”Alright, I understand.” Igor scratched his head; he made another mistake. Originally he intended to look for a shortcut, but who would have thought, there is no such thing as a shortcut.

After watching Igor read the Spirit Books, the two spirits didn’t disturb him. It seems they had reached some sort of mutual understanding.

Igor looked at those Spirit Books, feeling a sense of admiration. He realized he still needed to do something to fully activate this clear pattern in his heart. Clearly, the Spirit Books wouldn’t suffice; he needed to find someone.
