One-Eyed Monster

Igor stared blankly at the Sol Brothers, uncertain about some aspects of this world’s workings.

”The fastest way to spread information widely isn’t through the Mail Bird System, but through these Crows and Spiders,” explained Sol, who was quite familiar with these grey, dark entities, having dealt with them frequently during his travels across the continent. Both grey and black factions exist for their own interests, so as long as you offer enough benefit, they’ll handle things perfectly for you.

In the face of profit, all sorts of demons and ghosts will come out, moving swiftly and unknowingly ensuring that your tasks receive the widest dissemination.

Igor didn’t understand this truth because he hadn’t fully entered this world yet; he was not aware of how sinister and filthy it was, and within his heart, he couldn’t fully see through the world.

The dark world’s Spiders and Crows do their work for money, not concerning themselves with too many things. When it comes to money, the Sol Brothers never find it difficult.

They are ancient hunters; their skills can easily capture what people consider precious, and these things can be exchanged for plenty of Gold coins.

The Sol Brothers looked at Igor and said, ”Don’t worry, we have experience in this area; it won’t take many days for these messages to spread across the entire Yowein Continent. Then all our allies will come together!”

Igor looked at the Sol Brothers with skepticism.

”It’s okay not to believe, Igor. You must know now that this world isn’t as kind as it appears to be, yet it isn’t as unbearable as it sounds either.”

”Also, according to my brother’s plan, not only will your former allies appear, but potential enemies might also surface,” Stan Sol added.

”I trust you, but I still feel…” Igor scratched his head, unsure how to express himself.

”Just say whatever you need to. We’re a unit now; we must be open with each other.”

”Okay, I think, for such a big matter, should we discuss it with Dean Hoffman and Governor Rostov to inform them too?” Igor asked cautiously, as he wasn’t knowledgeable in this area.

”Haha, Igor, you’re truly…” Tobin Sol was amused by Igor’s actions. ”Without notifying Governor Rostov, our plan may not progress, as everything here is under his control. Without him, we can’t find the dark factions, whether mice or crows.”

”Oh…” Igor hadn’t anticipated this aspect.

”Haha, don’t worry, we are all one unit, and nobody will be left behind,” Tobin Sol said, very relaxed.

”Alright, I overthought it.” Igor scratched his head; growing up is always filled with various embarrassments, difficult to predict, hard to understand.

The Sol Brothers smiled at Igor, ”Then, we’ll do our part, Igor. Do you have any plans? If not, come with us.”

This was sort of an invitation; Igor was naturally tempted but couldn’t make a decision about his direction so easily.

Honestly, following the Sol Brothers on an adventure would undoubtedly be interesting, but Igor still felt a small mystery within him that needed resolution.

This mystery seemed trivial before but now appeared crucial to him.

”I want to join you, but I have some issues to think about. Once I’m clear, I will find you naturally,” Igor said resolutely without a bit of hesitation.

”Alright, we won’t force you. Think about your matters first; I believe we’ll see each other soon.”

”I think so too.”

”Then, goodbye, Igor. We’re off to handle our own matters!” The Sol Brothers bid farewell to Igor, needing to attend to their private affairs.

Unknowingly, the sun had climbed to its highest point, with sunlight lazily washing over everyone.

Now Igor was alone, walking on the academy path, head lowered, deep in contemplation.

There were many things he needed to clarify at this moment.

”Now it’s just me.” Igor muttered to himself, with a slightly determined tone.

”Oh no, there’s still that Basic Spirit Book, but perhaps they aren’t truly with me, are they?”

It seemed Igor was talking to himself, as no one was around him, yet his words seemed directed at someone.

Who was he talking to?

”I know you’ve always been there, whether in difficulty or smooth times, guiding me step by step forward.”

Igor slowly said, each word meant for himself and his situation; he must understand it himself.

”There’s no one else now; come out, all of you.”

Still, all is serene around Igor, without any movement.

What exactly was on him? No one knew. At this moment, Igor just wanted to understand what was happening to him, why it was him.

Everything remained peaceful, without any reaction; Igor did not look left or right, knowing it wasn’t a coincidence, but he couldn’t conclude because he felt his thoughts were not elevated enough yet.

But, he couldn’t ask for help, because his secrets were personal; he didn’t believe they could be shared.

After all, they are his private matters!

He had many secrets now, needing to uncover them one by one. Among them was the Scale of Faith on him. That old grandmother had been telling him stories, guiding him with them; he had communicated with her but hadn’t delved deep. Now he felt it’s time to bring out all his secrets.

There’s also the Spirit Book, a strange presence, not only does it talk and engage with him, but it has also evolved a voice within him, which he must clarify.

Also, encountering that Spirit in the Inner World…

These all were crucial to him; he must get them sorted.

”What’s the matter, not coming out?” Igor scratched his head, believing he had been quite polite.
