Reincarnated As a Fox With System

Chapter 593: Another Fox Army is Approaching!

The right [Sun Dragon Claw] held the white broadsword, while the left [Sun Dragon Claw] held the previous heavy cavalry commanderʼs weapon, the black halberd.

Under Tang Li Xueʼs smooth control, the white broadsword and black halberd harvested the lives of heavy cavalry troops like mowing down grasses in the yard.

Thankfully, the dead troops would just turn into a group of white lights and dissipate like the previous dead foxes in this Fox Hunting Festival.

If this was real, the blood would already be flowing like a river. Even innards and internal organs would be scattered everywhere on this battlefield.

Tang Li Xue herself might not be able to bear to see it, and she would have already vomited her entire guts out.

It did not take long for the rest of the heavy cavalry troops to completely lose their courage to fight and run away in all directions.

Tang Li Xue did not bother to chase after them and immediately gave another order to her fox troops.

”All right, that is enough~! There is no need to chase after them! Letʼs retreat from here quickly before their reinforcement army comes to hunt us down~!” Tang Li Xue shouted to her fox troops.

Tang Li Xue brought her fox troops and rushed farther from the Fox Palace.

There were many things she needed to do, such as finding the location of the Human Palace, mapping the entire area here so she could devise further plans to take the Human Race Flag, and so on.

But the most important thing to do was to build or find a temporary camp and let her fox troops recuperate as soon as possible.

After running for more than a hundred miles away from the previous battlefieldʼs location, Tang Li Xue and her fox troops managed to enter a dense jungle area filled with tall trees.

Tang Li Xue felt this location was quite good as their temporary camp to recuperate, so she shouted to her fox troops: ”Stop~! Letʼs take a rest here! Donʼt forget to count the number of casualties and injured!”

It only took less than fifteen minutes for the fox troops to count it, and one of them immediately reported it back to Tang Li Xue: ”Report to General Zhuge Li Xue~! There are 317 casualties, 2964 heavily injured, and 15628 lightly injured.”

Tang Li Xueʼs mouth twitched slightly when she heard the report.
Those numbers were actually not small at all!

Honestly, Tang Li Xue thought she managed to take down those heavy cavalry troops flawlessly without any meaningless sacrifice, but who knew that the reality was far from her imagination?!

After all, those heavy cavalry troops were already in complete disarray without their commander, just like a group of headless chickens.

”Sigh... I am still too naive. Reality is completely different from the game after all... Even a cornered rabbit would still bite back, let alone those human troops.” Tang Li Xue sighed in disappointment.

The fox who reported to Tang Li Xue heard her words and tried to comfort her: ”Forgive me for my impudence, General. But I personally think we already did pretty great. We can have a complete victory against those humans with only so few casualties.”

Tang Li Xue smiled ironically after she heard the comforting words and thought.

That result might be good enough for them, but Tang Li Xue who already got used to playing RTS games in her previous life wants more.

She remembered that in order to obtain the ʼJuggernautʼ achievement in one of her RTS games, she brought 100 soldiers to attack 1000 enemy soldiers and managed to win unscathed.

But right now, it was only her 100,000 well-organized troops versus 100,000 messy troops without their commander, yet she almost lost 20% of her overall troops!

The result was so embarrassing that Tang Li Xue wanted to find a hole to bury her head like an ostrich.

Tang Li Xue waved her paw and let the reporting fox take a rest.

Tang Li Xue lay down relaxed under the shady tree while muttering to herself: ”Forget it~! At least, I have already reached all of my objectives. I successfully obtained my armyʼs trust and boosted their morale.”

Then she frowned deeply again and thought: ”But the strength of that heavy cavalry commander is still surprising me... If the 100,000 commander is already that powerful, then the 1,000,000 generals would certainly be even more powerful.”

”Aisss~! So, it is also impossible for me to slaughter my way directly to their palace and forcefully take their Human Race Flag alone like in the Dynasty Warrior games. This is such a troublesome treasure game~!” Tang Li Xue groaned in disappointment.

Tang Li Xue actually quite liked this type of RTS treasure game, but the winning condition was too harsh in her opinion.

”How the hell can I win against millions of human troops only with my mere 100,000 fox troops?! If only you give me millions... No, I only need one million troops, and I can definitely take their race flag~!” Tang Li Xue said in frustration.

Just when Tang Li Xue lamented her unfavorable situation, one of her fox troops rushed toward her and shouted: ”Report to General Zhuge Li Xue~! There is another fox army coming fast towards us~!”

”What~?!” Tang Li Xue suddenly stood up in shock.

”Damn it~! Stand up all of you~! Quickly arrange our formation and be prepared for battle~!” Tang Li Xue shouted out loud to her fox troops.

Because her fox troops already had a high degree of trust in Tang Li Xue, they immediately executed her order without any hesitation.

It only took ten seconds or so for them to arrange several neat formations based on their divine abilityʼs specialty.

Tang Li Xue also already stood right in front of her troops and stared at the incoming fox army with a solemn expression.

What did the participating foxes like Tang Li Xue need the most to win this treasure game?

Of course, it was their troops!

So, there was a high chance that the fox general of this incoming fox army might want to kill Tang Li Xue to seize her troops.

But Tang Li Xue still did not dare to blindly attack them first, since it would be a great loss if both of them had heavy casualties because of civil war.

The incoming fox army stopped moving forward after they arrived a few hundred meters away from Tang Li Xueʼs fox army, and their fox general ran alone to approach Tang Li Xue.

”Hello, I am General Zhao. You should already realize it too, right? It would be impossible for us to win this treasure game at this rate, and we all might get eliminated from the Fox Hunting Festival.” The mint-colored fox said to Tang Li Xue with a solemn tone.

Tang Li Xue frowned in annoyance and hastily replied: ”I am General Zhuge. Stop being so wishy-washy and just state your real purpose frankly!”

ʼTsk~! What do you mean you are called General Zhao?! Do you think you are Zhao Yun?! So what?! Do you think you are cooler and greater than me?! General Zhuge is clearly much better than General Zhao, okay?!ʼ Tang Li Xue thought in displeasure.

The more she thought so, the more unhappy Tang Li Xue was when she saw the mint-colored fox in front of her.

However, Tang Li Xue still held down her temper and listened to the mint-colored foxʼs words.

The mint-colored fox smiled and continued: ”It may be impossible for us to win alone, but if we can gather all like-minded foxes and team up to take down the Human Race Palace together, then our winning chance might be greatly increased.”

Watching its cunning smile, Tang Li Xue really wanted to punch its snout so badly, but she calmly replied instead: ”Then who will take away the Human Race Flag later? Are we all going to grab it at the same time?”

”Of course not~! Only the fox with sufficient abilities will eventually get the Human Race Flag. Everything is up to fate~! At least, we would not get eliminated from the Fox Hunting Festival in this way. That is already enough for me.” The mint-colored fox said with a humble expression.

Tang Li Xue snorted in her heart: ʼYou are saying it as if you do not want to win this treasure game and obtain the precious treasure prize~!ʼ

After pondering it for a while, Tang Li Xue thought that the idea of this cunning mint-colored fox was still acceptable.

As long as she was careful enough to not get backstabbed by it later, then everything should be all right.

Tang Li Xueʼs topaz blue eyes flashed with an unnoticeable cunning light.

ʼI might even be able to secretly find a chance to slip away from them and steal the Human Race Flag first with my [Ethereal Form] and [Art of Concealment] later...ʼ Tang Li Xue muttered excitedly in her mind.

Tang Li Xue nodded while smiling at the mint-colored fox and saying: ”Okay, I agree~! Have you already found the location of Human Palace?”

The mint-colored fox replied with a happy expression: ”That is great! I have already found the location of their Human Palace, but it is tightly guarded. It is almost impossible to break through it alone. So, we must team up with others and attack it together!”
