Reincarnated As a Fox With System

Chapter 559: Tang Li Xueʼs Worst Start!

Tang Li Xue slowly opened her topaz blue eyes again, and she immediately found herself trapped inside the closed round-shaped room.

Several other foxes had already been waiting for the treasure game to start in this closed round-shaped room before Tang Li Xue joined in.

Before Tang Li Xue could carefully observe and evaluate the other foxes to sense how strong they were compared to herself, the game had actually started!

[2], [1], [0]...

Tang Li Xue shook her head in resignation.

This might be the worst start she had ever had compared to the other treasure games she had already participated in before...

First, she currently only has less than a third of her energy and stamina left right now, because both of her bloodlines had consumed so much of her energy and stamina to resist the mind-controlling effect of the crimson skies domain.

Second, three of her core life-saving divine abilities: [Sun and Moon Aegis]ʼs deadly blows protection, [Quick Restore], and [Twin Moons], all three of them were actually still in cooldown period!

Third, she did not have enough time to make more talismans before the crimson skies domain almost controlled her mind and body.

ʼSigh... Hopefully, this game is much easier than the previous three games, or at least, may the other foxes in this treasure game are not predator-level foxes.ʼ Tang Li Xue could only silently pray in her heart.

[All of you must stop moving and does nothing when the fox head statue stared in your direction.]

[All of you can move and do anything when the fox head statue turned around, but you must never stare at the tails behind the fox head statue!]

[The first fox to touch the fox head statue will be the winner and get the previous treasure.]

[Be careful, fox cubs~! Have fun and good luck!]

RUMBLE~! RUMBLE~! RUMBLE~!

One side wall of the round-shaped room suddenly opened revealing a very long corridor.

There was a huge fox head statue at the end of the very long corridor.

Tang Li Xue frowned deeply after she read the treasure gameʼs rules and thought in annoyance: ʼThese rules... are quite tricky and troublesome...ʼ

Tang Li Xue took a deep breath and stared at the very long corridor and the huge fox head statue at the end of the corridor.

ʼIt looks not quite far away... The approximate distance might be around 10 miles away... But I do not know yet if there are any tricks or traps in the corridor so I better be more careful...ʼ Tang Li Xue observed carefully and deduced in her mind.

However, Tang Li Xue quickly shook her head and thought: ʼNo, I am very sure there must be some kind of tricks or traps in the corridor since the rules even remind us to ʼbe carefulʼ!ʼ

At this time, Tang Li Xue did not hesitate and decided to enter [Divine Posession] mode with Yaya right from the start!

*Ding!

[You have entered Divine Possession with Yaya!]

Just when Tang Li Xue and the other foxes rushed toward the fox head statue as quickly as they could...

The eyes of the fox head statue suddenly opened!

Tang Li Xue and the other foxes instantly halted their movement at the same time as if someone pressed a pause button in the movie.

But then the eyes of the fox head statue flashed in blinding red light!

BWOOOOOOSHH~!

The fox head statue was actually shooting destructive rays from its eyes!

BOOOOOOOMMM~!

The destructive rays struck one of the foxes behind Tang Li Xue until its body shattered to pieces and turned into a group of white lights, then disappeared.

Unfortunately, the other foxes near the killed fox also moved a little in reflex, while one of them only blinked its eyes.

Of course, the fox head statue immediately realized it!

BOOOOMM~! BOOOMM~! BOOOMM~!

Three other foxes were also got eliminated by the destructive rays shot by the fox head statue!

Tang Li Xue almost wanted to gulp her saliva in nervousness, but she hastily suppressed it.

ʼStop moving and does nothingʼ literally become completely like a statue, even blinking, breathing, or swallowing saliva was not allowed!

Because the moment when their chest, throat, or eyelid were moving even a little bit, then it would certainly be their end!

But some of the foxes still did not learn any lesson from the other foxes and decided to do something underhanded!

BBBAAAAAANNNG~!

Something invisible struck the red fox all of a sudden until it was thrown off and crashed onto the corridorʼs right wall!

The eyes of the fox head statue were shining with crimson light again as it shot destructive rays again!

BOOOOMMM~!

The red fox exploded into pieces under the destructive rays and scattered into white lights, then vanished.

ʼDamn it~!ʼ Why the hell was only that red fox being punished? What about the one who knocked the red fox?! You let it go just like that?!ʼ Tang Li Xue complained in her heart without changing her expression at all.

Even though the fox head statue disregarded the sneaky attacker fox, but Tang Li Xue still did not dare to act rashly right now.

Because Tang Li Xue was still unclear about how the sneaky attacker fox did it previously.

Could that sneaky fox really attack anyone without ʼmoving and doing anythingʼ?

But that sounds impossible, right?!

Since the rules said that ʼthey must stop moving and does nothing when the fox head statue stared at themʼ then it should literally mean that they could not do anything right at this moment...

Tang Li Xueʼs expression became solemn at that moment as she thought: ʼThis is really bad... We would certainly die if that sneaky fox keep attacking us right now!ʼ

Fortunately, the sneaky fox did not attack anyone again after that...

A few minutes later, the fox head statue finally turned around and showed its nine tails on them!

”Oh, sh*t~!” Tang Li Xue hastily closed her topaz blue eyes and quickly bowed her head.

However, several reckless foxes swiftly charged toward the fox head statue as fast as they could, but they completely forgot and did not heed the second rule of this treasure game!

The second rule said ʼYou can move and do anything when the fox head statue turned around, but you must never stare at the tails behind the fox head statue!ʼ

After a few seconds, the bodies of those several reckless foxes became rigid, and they were actually turned into stone statues!

There were a group of white lights flying and scattering above the stone statues that indicated those several reckless foxes were already died and got eliminated from this Foxes Hunting Festival.

Tang Li Xue took a deep breath to calm herself down when she sensed those reckless foxes ends with her [Extrasensory Perception].

She also took this chance to carefully observe the remaining foxes in this treasure game.

There were only five foxes left, but all of them could not be underestimated...

Tang Li Xue also became even more wary of them and quickly took some distance against them since the sneaky attacker fox was certainly among these five foxes!

ʼWhat a sh*tty game is this?! If I cannot stare at the fox head statue at this time, how could I know if it already turned around or not?!ʼ Tang Li Xue groaned in vexation.

Despite all of her complaints, Tang Li Xue still decided to rush toward the fox head statue at full speed!
However, she still did not dare to go all out using all of her agility-increasing buffs and rushing to the fox head statue using her fastest skill.

Tang Li Xue still applied her ʼbe patient and watch carefullyʼ strategy for now...

ʼSigh... If only I still have [Lightning Form] divine ability... This treasure game would surely be a piece of cake for me~!ʼ Tang Li Xue fussed again in her heart.

When her [Extrasensory Perception] sensed the movement from the fox head statue, Tang Li Xue quickly raised her head and halted her move.

But right at this time, Tang Li Xue almost wanted to frown deeply in dejection, but fortunately, she could quickly suppress it.

Because she actually did not get closer to the fox head statue at all even after moving forward in full speed for one or two minutes!

ʼI know it would not be so easy to win this treasure game!ʼ Tang Li Xue exclaimed in anger inside her mind.

This time, the remaining five foxes plus Tang Li Xue had already understood the game rules better, so no one got punished by the fox head statue.

But an unexpected similar incident happened once again!

BBBAAAAAAAANNGG~!

The grey fox suddenly got struck by something invisible and rolled on the ground in pain!

”NO~! This is not fair~! I...” The grey fox shouted its complaint with an unwilling tone.

Unfortunately, the eyes of the fox head statue flashed in blinding cold red light as it mercilessly shot destructive rays toward the grey fox without even letting it finish its words!

The grey fox swiftly split into many clones and scattered in different directions!

However, the destructive rays could lock the real grey fox in an instant and break the grey foxʼs body in an instant!

BOOOOOOOMMM~!

Just like the previous victims of the destructive rays, the grey fox turned into a group of white light and dissipated.

ʼAgain?! It actually happened again?! How could that sneaky bast*rd do it?! Could we really attack anyone as long as we did not move?ʼ Tang Li Xue thought deeply in frustration, but she still did not get it how could the sneaky fox do it under the watchful eyes of that fox head statue.
