Reincarnated As a Fox With System

Chapter 591: Retreat Back Into the Palace!

However, Tang Li Xue managed to find a lot of important information from that tragic war.

First, the individual strength of their fox troops was only at the level of an ordinary Beast Lord or [Rare] Grade beast.

Forget about facing the powerful Predator-level fox, any elite-level fox from the Myriad Foxes Academy like Mogui could easily beat any one of these fox troops in the one-on-one battle.

So, never expect any of these fox troops to suddenly become a protagonist in the war and mow down the enemy troops alone like Lu Bu or Guan Yu.

Second, the individual strength of the human race troops was surprisingly only at the Acupuncture Opening Stage.

Of course, they were also only at the ordinary level of the Acupuncture Opening Stage.

Any genius at the Acupuncture Opening Stage from big sects like Ye Zhen could easily beat them in one-on-one battles.

But those human generals were on a whole different level...

Even Tang Li Xue could not judge their full strength yet since the five hundred thousand fox armies had already fallen apart before those human generals fought.

According to Tang Li Xueʼs observations, the individual strength of their fox armies was much stronger than those human armies.

However, those human armies relied on the power of battle formations and weapons to crush their fox armies.

Well, it could not be said that they were cheating because the human race had always been relying on their wits and weapons to fight against any beast since ancient times.

After failing to think of any good plans, Tang Li Xue shook her head in frustration while muttering: ”Those human armies are so united, while we are... sigh...”

The Fox Race armies already lost five hundred thousand troops. That was around 20% to 30% of the total number of the Fox Race armies!

While those human armies only lost a few thousand soldiers, and more than ten thousand soldiers got injured, but those did not affect their overall strength.

Tang Li Xue took a glance at the other participating foxes that already become the fox general for now.

No one even bothered to ask the others about teaming up in this Interracial War, so all of them planned to fight their own battle alone.

ʼIt seems impossible for us to team up peacefully since there could only be one winner in this treasure game.ʼ Tang Li Xue thought in her heart.

Tang Li Xue shouted another order to her own troops: ”For the fox troops with offense-type divine abilities, divide into two teams for long-range artillery team and a close-range fighter team.”

In the previous losing war, Tang Li Xue realized the importance of positioning these two different roles, so she quickly gave that order.

The fox troops obediently did Tang Li Xueʼs order and hastily lined up into two different divisions.

So, Tang Li Xueʼs armies were now divided into four divisions.

20% fox troops with speed-type divine ability, 30% fox troops with defense-type divine ability, 20% fox troops with long-range offense-type divine ability, and 30% fox troops with melee-range offense-type divine ability.

Tang Li Xueʼs mouth twitched in disappointment.

In fact, Tang Li Xue preferred that her troops only have one single role rather than the equal distribution of different roles like this since it would be much easier to manage.

”Never mind, there is no point in complaining about that now.” Tang Li Xue muttered while thinking deeply.

According to her experience in playing RTS games, there was only one plan she could do to win this war alone with a limited number of troops...
ʼDivide and Conquer Strategy...ʼ Tang Li Xue squinted her eyes as she thought in her mind.

”Well, it should not be that hard since I have [Mystic Whisper]... But the timing has to be right, or my troops may get obliterated just like the previous five hundred thousand fox troops.” Tang Li Xue whispered with a solemn expression.

Just when Tang Li Xue still thinking about how to carry out her plans, Human Race armies already marched toward their Fox Palace in neat battle formation!

RUMBLE~! RUMBLE~! RUMBLE~! RUMBLE~!

More than half of the fox armies instantly fell into disarray after they saw those Human Race armies slaughtered those five hundred thousand fox armies so easily, and then those terrifying Human Race armies marched straight toward them.

Their fox generals hastily ordered their respective troops to go back into the Fox Palace and decided to use Fox Palace as a defensive fortress to fight against those Human Race armies.

Their decision could not be said to be bad, but Tang Li Xue did not like it.

Rather than playing defensively like that, Tang Li Xue preferred to play more offensively instead!

”Come~! All of you follow me closely~!” Tang Li Xue ordered her one hundred thousand fox troops while sprinting to the right of the Fox Palace.

Some other fox generals also took the same decision as Tang Li Xue, but they brought their fox troops in the other direction.

Honestly, the speed of her fox troops was too slow compared to Tang Li Xue herself.

Luckily, those human race armies did not bother to chase after the divided fox armies and only focused on taking down the Fox Palace.

”Stop~!” Tang Li Xue shouted while stopped running away.

She stared at the human race armies that were currently assaulting the Fox Palace with long-range attacks such as Spirit Cannons, arrows, and spells, but the fox troops inside the Fox Palace were too panicked to do anything.

”Damn it~! That looks bad~! At this rate, our castle will not last long.” Tang Li Xue gnashed her fangs.

After pondering it for a while, Tang Li Xue gave another order to her armies: ”Long-range troops, prepare to launch an attack~! The target is those human race armies~!”

”Understood, General Zhuge Li Xue~!” The long-range fox armies shouted while lined up neatly.

”Ready~! Release it~!” Tang Li Xue yelled out loud.

Tens of thousands of long-range elemental attacks were released at once by the long-range fox armies!

But the human general already noticed Tang Li Xueʼs movement and hastily ordered the shield troops to block the long-range elemental attacks!

BOOOM~! BOOOM~! BOOOM~! BOOOM~!

Tens of thousands of elemental attacks rained down on the human armies and exploded.

Even though the shield troops successfully blocked half of them, but the long-range elemental attacks still managed to bring down thousands of human troops.

The fox armies inside the Fox Palace quickly noticed Tang Li Xueʼs movement and also ordered their fox troops to launch long-range attacks from the top of the palaceʼs walls.

Although, Tang Li Xueʼs movement was insignificant, but it actually calmed down those disarrayed fox troops in the Fox Palace and made them more braver to face the human race armies.

Tang Li Xue sighed in relief when she saw the situation had stabilized a lot compared to before.

One of the human generals glared at Tang Li Xue and her troops with eyes filled with anger and killing intent.

He yelled to order his troops to chase after Tang Li Xue along with her troops and kill them all!

”Letʼs go~!” Tang Li Xue turned around and continued to run with all of her troops.

But there were already more than one hundred thousand heavy cavalry army chasing closely behind her!

After playing cat and mouse for a while and running for tens of miles from the Fox Palace, Tang Li Xue muttered with a mocking smile: ”Tsk, tsk tsk~! Since you dare to chase me this far, then do not blame me for being unkind~!”

[Mother Earthʼs Gift]~!

[Mountain Pit] plus [Earth Spikes]~!

The grassy ground beneath the horse hooves of those heavy cavalry troops suddenly sunk, and they fell into a huge deep hole filled with sharp [Earth Spikes]!

The heavy cavalry troops behind could not stop their horse on time and fell into the huge deep hole filled with sharp [Earth Spikes] too like a landslide!

PUFF~! PUFF~! PUFF~! PUFF~! PUFF~!

Thousands of heavy cavalry troops were killed in an instant by Tang Li Xueʼs sneaky attack!

While the rest of the heavy cavalry army pulled and calmed down their horse, Tang Li Xue stared at them with a pair of brighter topaz blue eyes.

”This is our chance~! Long-range troops, launch rapid-fire attacks at them~!” Tang Li Xue yelled her order to the long-range artillery fox army.

The long-range artillery troops shot their elemental attack at the heavy cavalry human army continuously!

BBOOOOMM~! BBOOOOMM~! BBOOOOMM~!

The heavy cavalry human army could not attack them since there was a huge deep hole filled with sharp [Earth Spikes] between them!

Even if they jumped over the huge deep hole, those continuous elemental attack bombardments would hit them and make them fall into the hole too.

The long-range artillery fox troops managed to kill thousands of heavy cavalry human army in only a few seconds!

The commander of heavy cavalry troops quickly ordered his troops to take a detour to reach Tang Li Xue and her troops!

But how could Tang Li Xue let them go that easily...

”You can also take this as a gift from me~!” Tang Li Xue said as she activated her [Mother Earthʼs Gift] again.

[Mountain Crushing Pit]~!

In the direction where the heavy cavalry human army was heading, another large deep hole suddenly appeared!

Hundreds of them fell into the large deep hole, then the large deep hole suddenly shrunk and closed to crush them to death!

The heavy cavalry commander glared at Tang Li Xue while gnashing his teeth in fury, then he actually rode his horse and charged toward Tang Li Xue while skillfully dodging the elemental attackʼs continuous bombardment!

The horse jumped so high to pass the previous deep hole filled with sharp [Earth Spikes], and the heavy cavalry commander swung his halberd at Tang Li Xue!

”Humph~! Do you think you can win just because you look cool?!” Tang Li Xue snorted as she urged her [Energy Manipulation].
