Reincarnated As a Fox With System

Chapter 553: Chapter 553: The Doppelganger VS The Black-White Striped Fox!

Honestly, Tang Li Xue was not actually so helpless yet since she still has some trump cards that she could still use to fight against this Doppelganger.

At first, Tang Li Xue planned to just use her [Regalia of Eclipse], but it might not work against this Doppelganger since both skills from [Regalia of Eclipse] need to fulfill some conditions to work on her enemy.

[Eclipse of Desire] would only work if the enemy has a strong desire to achieve or possess something, while [Eclipse of Sins] would only work if the enemy did a lot of crimes in its lifetime.

But this Doppelganger was clearly a temporary monster created as the BOSS in this mirror maze dungeon, so it might not have any desire for anything, and it might also have never done any evil deed other than killing a few foxes in this mirror maze.

The second option was to use [Sun Dragon Fiery Eyes] to burn this Doppelganger to death.

However, this plan was also unfeasible since it was impossible for Tang Li Xue to instantly burn the Doppelganger to death with [Sun Dragon Fiery Eyes].

On the contrary, the Doppelganger might focus on killing Tang Li Xue first as fast as it could to stop her [Sun Dragon Fiery Eyes].

Moreover, Tang Li Xue was quite sure that the Doppelganger still has one or two more [Sun and Moon Aegis]ʼs deadly blow protections so it might not be impossible for the Doppelganger to last for several minutes under her [Sun Dragon Fiery Eyes].

Donʼt forget the Doppelganger could also use [Quick Restore] to rapidly heal all of its wounds...

The only good news was that the Doppelganger sacrificed its perfect copy by activating the [Merge] skill so she did not really need to kill Doppelganger eight times...

ʼSigh... Since the first option and the second option are not working, then I can only pin my hope on the third option...ʼ Tang Li Xue sighed while murmuring in her heart.

Tang Li Xue swiftly used her [Moonlight Flickering Flash Step] to flash beside the wounded black-white striped fox.

Then Tang Li Xue activated her [Talisman of Giant Strength], [Talisman of Lightning Speed], and [Talisman of Iron Skin] to give the buffs to herself and the black-white striped fox.

She also used [Talisman of Regeneration] on the black-white striped fox, so its wounds could gradually heal.

Tang Li Xue nodded at the black-white striped fox and muttered to it: ”I am counting on you!”

The black-white striped fox nodded back at Tang Li Xue and replied: ”I will try my best but please do it faster if you can since I might not be able to hold on for five minutes...”

”I will also try my best... but I cannot promise...” Tang Li Xue murmured as she activated her [Mother Earthʼs Gift] to create a violent earthquake.

RUMBLE~!!! RUMBLE~!!! RUMBLE~!!! RUMBLE~!!!

The Doppelganger wanted to launch another attack on Tang Li Xue and the black-white striped fox, but the violent earthquake made it stagger out of balance.

BBOOOOOMMM~!!!

The deep cracks started to spread on the surrounding floor and ceiling!

Tang Li Xue used [Stealth Talisman] to turn herself invisible before she jumped into the deep cracks to hide while whispering to the black-white-striped fox with her [Lock-on Telepathy]: ”Go~! You can start now~! Remember to always catch its attention, so it would forget about me! It would be best if you can make that Doppelganger never changed into my form again in these five minutes!”

Well... since the Doppelganger would have the super annoying danger-sensing ability, [Extrasensory Perception], if it transformed into Tang Li Xueʼs form, and it might perceive what Tang Li Xue currently does with [Extrasensory Perception]...

Tang Li Xue condensed a pair of deep blue [Phoenix Wings] on her back and hovered inside the deep cracks.

Tang Li Xue actually wanted to use [Ethereal Form] plus [Art of Concealment] too to hide better, but it would not work since her [Phoenix Wings] could not turn invisible like her.

She took a deep breath while muttering with a solemn tone: ”Letʼs go, Dumb Bird~! The only chance to defeat that Doppelganger lies on you and me right now~!”

Tang Li Xue put both of her paws together and began to compress her deep blue Flame of Pride in the space between her paws!

After the deep blue flames started to go out of control, Tang Li Xue add spin power as if she wanted to create [Spiral Sphere Bomb].

Of course, what Tang Li Xue wanted to create was not a mere [Spiral Sphere Bomb], but the much more powerful [Purple Destruction Wave] that defeated even the Sapphire Queen Wasp!

Compress more!

After the compressed deep blue [Fire Bomb] almost went out of control again, Tang Li Xue forcefully made it spin faster to stabilize it!

Then after it stabilized, Tang Li Xue would add and compress more deep blue flames into it!

ʼCome on~! Please, make this work~! Change the color to purple, please!ʼ Tang Li Xue silently prayed in her heart.

.....

...

.

Meanwhile, the black-white striped fox hastily launched an attack toward the Doppelganger before it could do anything!

[Light Reflection]!

BBBAAAAAAAANNNG~!!!

The staggering Doppelganger took a few steps back because of the black-white striped foxʼs sudden attack.

However, the black-white striped foxʼs [Light Reflection] was far from lethal.

On the contrary, it only made the Doppelganger angry!

But it was good since that was what the black-white striped fox wants, so the Doppelganger would not notice that Tang Li Xue had currently hidden under the cracks right now!

The angry Doppelganger also used [Light Reflection] to attack the black-white striped fox!

The black-white striped fox could use its [Shadow Reflection] to avoid any type of attack, except for light-element attacks such as [Light Reflection]!

It was truly an irony since the weakness of the black-white striped foxʼs almost untouchable defense-type divine divine ability actually lay in its own attack-type divine ability...

But it did not mean that the black-white striped fox really did not have any other way to avoid the Doppelgangerʼs attack!

The black-white striped fox gritted its fangs and activated its [Shadow Reflection], then it jumped toward the mirror wall!

Strangely, the black-white striped foxʼs shadow-like body actually sunk into the mirror wall and reached the other side of the mirror space!

BBBAAAAAAAAAAANNNG~!!!

The Doppelgangerʼs [Light Protection] struck the mirror wall and failed to hit the black-white striped fox!

The black-white striped fox sneered provocatively toward the Doppelganger, then she used its [Shadow Reflection] to jump back through the mirror wall and came back.

[Light Reflection]!

The black-white striped fox launched an attack toward the Doppelganger again!

BAAAANNNNNG~!!!

The black-white striped fox knew that its [Light Reflection] could only barely hurt the Doppelganger, but it deliberately kept using it repeatedly to provoke the Doppelgangerʼs anger even more.

The Doppelganger took another few steps back, and an angry vein started to bulge on the Doppelgangerʼs forehead as it gnashed its fangs in rage.

The Doppelganger dashed closer toward the black-white striped fox while shooting [Light Reflection] toward it!

But the black-white striped fox used the same trick. It activated its [Shadow Reflection] to turn into a shadow and jumped into the mirror wall to avoid the Doppelgangerʼs [Light Reflection]!

The Doppelganger also used [Shadow Reflection] to turn itself into a shadow and jumped through the mirror to chase after the black-white striped fox!

”You are too slow~! You will never catch up to me with that speed, Slowpoke~!” The black-white striped fox laughed at the Doppelganger in a provocative manner.

dαsvεl.cοm

Of course, it was only a lie since the Doppelgangerʼs overall stats was doubled in [Merge] buff state, so it was certainly twice faster than the black-white striped fox...
However, the black-white striped fox was betting on its control over its own divine ability instead!

The black-white striped fox was quite sure that even though the Doppelganger could imitate all of its divine abilities, it would certainly take some time for the Doppelganger to adapt to using them!

ʼI can only hope that it will take a longer time for this Doppelganger to adapt...ʼ The black-white striped fox secretly wished in its heart.

The black-white striped fox shot [Light Reflection] toward the Doppelganger when it used [Shadow Reflection] to jump through the mirror wall to chase after it!

BBAAAAAAAANNGG~!

The Doppelganger staggered and crashed onto the mirror wall.

The black-white striped fox took this chance to [Shadow Reflection] and jumped to another side of the mirror wall again.

The black-white striped fox was cleverly using the kiting tactic to keep the Doppelganger away while keep provoking it with its [Light Reflection] attack.

After repeating this tactic a few times, the Doppelganger finally lost its patience and angrily charged toward the black-white striped fox while ignoring its [Light Reflection] attack.

When the black-white striped fox activated its [Shadow Reflection] to jump toward the mirror wall, the Doppelganger swiftly activated its [Shadow Reflection] to catch up.

BBAAAAAAAANNGG~!

With its much superior speed, the Doppelganger finally caught the black-white striped fox from behind, and both of them were rolling while wrestling on the ground.

”RWAAAAAAAAAGGGRRRRRR~!” The Doppelganger angrily roared as it opened its fangs to take a bite of the black-white striped foxʼs neck!

The black-white striped fox did not panic at all.

It said with a cold tone while still maintaining its calmness: ”That is the worst choice to do, rookie. I might not be able to hurt you before when you keep spamming [Light Reflection] to me, but if you are this close to me then it was a different story...”

[Light and Shadow Reflection]!

BBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM~!!!

The Doppelganger roared in pain as its body blasted toward the mirror wall and crashed heavily onto it!

The black-white striped fox could finally detonate its ultimate move toward the Doppelganger!
