Villain: I Can See Destiny

47: Chapter 47 The Infatuated EmpressNot long after Sikong Ruoyun left, Young Master Xiao Zimo also departed from the Buhu World and returned to the ancestral lands of the Xiao Clan.

Upon returning to the Xiao Clan ancestral lands, he immediately headed to Nangong Yi’s sleeping quarters. Now that he was an adult, there were certain things he was eager to try.

But to his surprise, Nangong Yi was not there!

After asking the maidservants in the palace, he learned that Nangong Yi had been called away by his mother for a talk.

Thinking of his mother’s sharp tongue, Young Master Xiao Zimo sighed, knowing that Nangong Yi wouldn’t be back anytime soon.

However, he had endured for so many years; a little more time wouldn’t hurt.

After the lascivious fire in Young Master Xiao Zimo’s heart calmed down, he suddenly felt quite sleepy.

Perhaps it was because the events of today contained too much information, but Young Master Xiao Zimo didn’t think too much of it.

He casually found a chair and slumped over the table, preparing to take a short nap.

Yet, he actually fell asleep. One must know that at Young Master Xiao Zimo’s Realm, it was possible to go without sleep for ten days or half a month.

It seemed as though an invisible force was compelling him to sleep.

Slumped over the table, Young Master Xiao Zimo gradually sank into a dream.

From a third-person perspective, he dreamed of his first meeting with Sikong Ruoyun.

It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon, and Young Master Xiao Zimo was admiring the scenery in the Purple Bamboo Forest of Yunshan.

Suddenly, above the Purple Bamboo Forest, the Void Realm shattered, and the heavens and earth were turned upside down.

Then, a woman with a graceful figure fell from the sky, landing straight into his arms.

This was their first meeting; it was so dramatic and legendary, as if it were a fate bestowed by the heavens.

The Young Master Xiao Zimo in the dream was different from him; he seemed to be a true gentleman.

He took great care of the unconscious Sikong Ruoyun without the slightest bit of impropriety.

Facing a woman like Sikong Ruoyun, Young Master Xiao Zimo’s eyes were as clear as water, devoid of any desire.

Later, he learned that when she was breaking through to the Half-Emperor Realm, she had encountered a forbidden Heavenly Tribulation—the Nine Heavens Divine Thunder. After being injured by the heavenly thunder, she was swept into the turbulence of the Void Realm.

The first thing Sikong Ruoyun saw upon waking was Young Master Xiao Zimo, who had been taking such good care of her.

It was unclear whether she was captivated by his looks or moved by Young Master Xiao Zimo’s gentlemanly conduct.

From then on, she would come to find Young Master Xiao Zimo regardless of whether she had a reason or not, sometimes chatting about heaven and earth, other times discussing history and scenery.

When Young Master Xiao Zimo’s cultivation improved, she would come to talk to him about cultivation matters.

”Isn’t this just a female version of a simp?” the third-person Young Master Xiao Zimo thought to himself.

Finally, one day, Young Master Xiao Zimo couldn’t help but ask Sikong Ruoyun if she liked him.

Sikong Ruoyun admitted it openly and generously, saying that she had fallen in love with him at first sight, as if she existed solely to meet Young Master Xiao Zimo.

But the Young Master Xiao Zimo in the dream rejected her, telling Sikong Ruoyun that he was devoted to the Dao and had no room in his heart for romantic feelings.

He also told her that he didn’t like clingy girls, and that girls should have more self-respect.

This scene made Young Master Xiao Zimo click his tongue in surprise, secretly criticizing: ”Refusing a delicacy delivered to your doorstep, and still acting like a gentleman? The path of cultivation is so dull; how can one manage without a beauty by one’s side?”

The words of the Young Master Xiao Zimo in the dream seemed to have had an effect.

From then on, the number of times Sikong Ruoyun took the initiative to find him decreased significantly.

Even when they met, she was no longer as clingy as before, and slowly, they became close confidants.

When did they finally get together?

As Young Master Xiao Zimo pondered this, the dream began to shift rapidly.

Time jumped to the day the Emperor Road ended.

On this day, Sikong Ruoyun was besieged by several Half-Emperors, and there were even Great Emperors attacking.

Even with the power of the Ziwei Immortal Dynasty, they could not resolve this crisis.

All of this was because the item Sikong Ruoyun had brought out from the Emperor Road was too astonishing.

She had actually chosen not to become an Emperor, but had brought out the Emperor Origin instead!

How could this not make others who failed to become Emperors jealous? One must know that the number of Emperor Origins produced in an era was only a few dozen; how could that be enough for the countless factions in the Upper Realm to divide?

Only a faction that possessed a contemporary Great Emperor was qualified to become the master of that era.

Any Great Emperor was invincible in their own era, capable of making Immortal clans without a contemporary Great Emperor deeply fearful.

A Great Emperor, unsuppressed by the heavens and earth, could not be killed even by an Immortal Artifact.

Unless several contemporary Great Emperors, each wielding an Immortal Artifact, acted together, it would be impossible to completely annihilate a Great Emperor.

In history, there had never been a Great Emperor killed during their own era.

If Young Master Xiao Zimo hadn’t arrived in time, she would have bled to death at the exit of the Emperor Road.

The moment Young Master Xiao Zimo learned she had brought out the Emperor Origin, he knew what was going on.

He had not hidden his Realm from her, so she knew that Young Master Xiao Zimo had reached the Half-Emperor Realm in only one hundred years.

When the Emperor Road opened, Young Master Xiao Zimo had not entered.

He didn’t say why, and she didn’t ask.

But Sikong Ruoyun proved her sincere feelings for Young Master Xiao Zimo with her actions.

She chose not to become an Emperor herself, leaving the Emperor Origin, which she had obtained through a near-death experience in the Emperor Road, for Young Master Xiao Zimo so he could become an Emperor.

Little did she know that the Emperor Origin from the Emperor Road was useless to Young Master Xiao Zimo.

Looking at the blood-stained girl in his arms, Young Master Xiao Zimo laughed and scolded: ”You really are a silly girl.”

Sikong Ruoyun smiled foolishly: ”Am I going to die?”

”How could that be? With me here, even if you wanted to die, you wouldn’t be able to!”

Young Master Xiao Zimo gently wiped the bloodstains from her face.

”Young Master Xiao Zimo, I really like you so much. I don’t even know why I like you this much; it’s as if I’ve liked you for a long, long time.”

”There is a voice in my heart that keeps telling me that in this lifetime, I must make you fall in love with me. Young Master Xiao Zimo, have you fallen in love with me?”

Sikong Ruoyun said infatuatedly.

”I...”

”Don’t say it; I’m afraid of hearing what I don’t want to hear.”

”Since you aren’t speaking, I’ll take that as your agreement.”

”Young Master Xiao Zimo likes Sikong Ruoyun; Zimo loves Ruoyun.”

Sikong Ruoyun covered Young Master Xiao Zimo’s lips with her hand, then continued to herself.

”Young Master Xiao Zimo, I really like you so much. During the days of fighting on the Emperor Road, what I feared wasn’t death; I only feared that I would never see you again.”

”I don’t want to go to a cold, dark world alone. Places without you are truly so lonely.”

”I shouldn’t have listened to you back then. I should have pestered you every day; even if you hated me, it wouldn’t have mattered.”

”I really regret wasting so much time with you; there won’t be any more chances in the future...”

”When I was on the Emperor Road, I missed you so much. I even wrote a poem for it.”

”The night is cool, the moon drifts slow, love is a dream like water’s flow. Ink dyes the years in mists of gray, I sigh that love is hard to stay.”

”How many nights of longing and doubt, drinking the moon, pouring my heart out. We meet yet wait for fate to bind, to hold your hand, our lives entwined.”

”Did I do well?” Sikong Ruoyun had an expression that said, ”Hurry up and praise me.”

But before Young Master Xiao Zimo could speak, she closed her eyes.

”Ruoyun? Ruoyun? Sikong Ruoyun!”

Young Master Xiao Zimo’s calls grew louder and louder, but the young girl in his arms never spoke again.
