Villain: I Can See Destiny

43: Chapter 43 Do you believe in love at first sight? In the resplendent sleeping palace, a red-haired girl lay on a bed made of gold-threaded divine wood.

The girl was Xiao Xianyun, though her previously damaged red clothes had been changed by Young Master Xiao Zimo into a red long dress.

Young Master Xiao Zimo sat at the head of the bed, earnestly examining Xiao Xianyun. At this moment, Xiao Xianyun possessed a different kind of beauty compared to when she was fighting.

With cherry lips and almond eyes, a delicate appearance, and a golden flower decoration adorning her forehead, her injury had stripped away that masculine heroic spirit, giving her a fragile air that made one feel immense pity.

The girl on the bed furrowed her brows slightly, appearing to be in some pain; it seemed her injuries had not yet fully healed.

Wounds caused by the power of Chaos were not so easy to treat.

Even with the capabilities of the Xiao Clan, she still needed a certain amount of time to recover.

Of course, the Xiao Clan possessed divine items that could make her recover instantly, but using them to treat such minor wounds was truly making a mountain out of a molehill.

It was not that Young Master Xiao Zimo was stingy; the main reason was that he did not want her to recover so quickly.

A weak girl is most in need of someone to take care of her, is she not?

Suddenly, Xiao Xianyun’s eyelids twitched. Young Master Xiao Zimo knew this was a sign that she was about to wake up, so he immediately composed himself.

”Where is this?”

Xiao Xianyun’s voice carried a sense of weakness, making her sound listless.

”You’re awake? This is my sleeping palace.”

Young Master Xiao Zimo looked pleasantly surprised.

”Your sleeping palace? How did I end up here? Wasn’t I fighting Xiao Yi?” She was clearly somewhat confused.

”So I lost after all...” After realizing the situation, Xiao Xianyun felt somewhat dejected.

She had traveled thousands of miles to challenge her opponent, only to be defeated in front of everyone.

Even for someone as open-minded as her, this was a difficult result to accept.

Young Master Xiao Zimo was also quite surprised that Xiao Xianyun had lost; he had expected another ”hero’s return” scenario.

However, it was better that she lost; this was more advantageous for him.

Thinking of this, Young Master Xiao Zimo consoled her softly: ”You were already very strong. If Xiao Yi hadn’t used his Void Shattering Middle Stage cultivation at the last moment, you would have been the one to win.”

”Really?”

Xiao Xianyun looked at Young Master Xiao Zimo in pleasant surprise.

”Of... Of course it’s true...”

Young Master Xiao Zimo said with a guilty conscience. He had lied to her just now. Xiao Yi did indeed have the demeanor of a gentleman; even though there was no rule requiring him to lower his Realm to match his opponent, he had done so anyway.

Furthermore, at the final moment, he had not even used that sealed power.

But seeing those bright eyes of the girl, he truly could not bring himself to tell the truth.

If the girl knew she had been defeated by someone using the same Realm, how heartbroken she would be.

”A white lie shouldn’t count as a lie, right?” Young Master Xiao Zimo thought to himself.

”Then I must strive to achieve a Breakthrough in my Realm as soon as possible. Next time, this Young Miss will definitely wash away this shame.”

As Xiao Xianyun said this, she tried to get out of bed, but her body had not yet recovered, and she was currently extremely weak.

As soon as she got out of bed, she lost her footing and fell into Young Master Xiao Zimo’s arms.

”Are you alright?”

Young Master Xiao Zimo asked with concern.

”I... I’m fine. Thank you for just now.”

Looking at Young Master Xiao Zimo’s concerned gaze, Xiao Xianyun felt somewhat embarrassed for a moment, and a blush appeared on her fair cheeks.

”I was too embarrassing just now. I couldn’t even stand properly and actually fell into Cousin Zimo’s arms. It’s truly mortifying.”

Xiao Xianyun could not help but think to herself.

”What... What are you trying to do?”

Xiao Xianyun’s voice was somewhat sharp. As she spoke, she used her hand to press against Young Master Xiao Zimo’s chest, preventing him from getting closer.

After coming to her senses just now, she realized Young Master Xiao Zimo had suddenly leaned his head in, which had given her a fright.

”I saw your face was red just now, and I thought your injuries had flared up again.”

Young Master Xiao Zimo explained. Although he appeared nonchalant on the surface, he was actually incredibly awkward inside.

Just now, seeing Xiao Xianyun looking bashful and dazed, he had been reminded of scenes from television dramas in his past life, where the male protagonist would take the initiative and succeed in getting a kiss nine times out of ten.

So he had gradually leaned in towards her, and thus the scene before them occurred.

As expected, everything in television dramas is a lie!

However, Xiao Xianyun was worthy of being a daughter of Luck; she actually hadn’t fallen for his peerless good looks.

Xiao Xianyun examined Young Master Xiao Zimo with some suspicion; she always felt that he had been harboring ill intentions just now.

”Who... Who changed my clothes?”

An ominous premonition surged in Xiao Xianyun’s heart.

”Of course it was me.”

Young Master Xiao Zimo pointed at himself, indicating that there was no one else here.

”You... How could you do this! Revered Master said that this... this kind of behavior can only be done by someone you like.”

Xiao Xianyun said, half-embarrassed and half-annoyed.

”Revered Master? It seems I really didn’t guess wrong. She really does have an expert guiding her behind the scenes.” Young Master Xiao Zimo thought to himself.

”Then do you hate me?” Young Master Xiao Zimo stared into Xiao Xianyun’s eyes and asked earnestly.

”That... That I don’t hate.” Xiao Xianyun felt somewhat embarrassed from being stared at.

”Since you don’t hate me, Xianyun, why don’t you just marry me? You’ve already been seen by me anyway.” Young Master Xiao Zimo appeared somewhat roguish.

”Bu... But Revered Master said, you can only marry the person you like...” Xiao Xianyun hesitated.

”But didn’t you just say you don’t hate me?” Young Master Xiao Zimo sophistically argued.

”But you don’t like me either.”

The naive young girl had not yet reacted; she had already been completely led astray by Young Master Xiao Zimo’s line of reasoning.

”Who says I don’t like you? Do you believe in love at first sight? From the first moment I saw you today, I knew I had fallen for you.”

Young Master Xiao Zimo feigned deep affection as he looked at Xiao Xianyun.

How could the inexperienced Xiao Xianyun withstand such flirtation? Coupled with Young Master Xiao Zimo’s deeply affectionate, peerless face, her heart was pounding like thunder.

”But Revered Master said that all love at first sight in the world is just lust at first sight.” After calming down, Xiao Xianyun remembered her Revered Master’s words.

”Was your Master abandoned by a man? Why does she only teach you these things? No wonder you have the template of an invincible person but couldn’t beat Xiao Yi!”

Young Master Xiao Zimo cursed inwardly.

However, on the surface, he defended himself: ”What is my status? I have seen countless heaven-gifted beauties, why don’t I like them?”

Xiao Xianyun lowered her head to ponder for a while and felt that what Young Master Xiao Zimo said made a lot of sense.

It seemed that what Revered Master said wasn’t entirely correct; after all, she had never left Tianhai Village.

Suddenly, as if remembering something, Xiao Xianyun looked up at Young Master Xiao Zimo: ”Didn’t you get engaged to Empress Ziwei?”

”That was a Family marriage alliance; I haven’t even met her.”

”But I heard you also like the Southern Kingdom Princess.”

”She is the cinnabar mole, and you are the white moonlight.”

”Cinnabar mole? White moonlight? What does that mean?”

”Xianyun, don’t overthink it. Believe me, okay? I am serious about you.”

”But...”

Before she could finish her sentence, Young Master Xiao Zimo domineeringly kissed her.

Based on his years of experience watching television dramas, this was what one had to do at this moment; the more you explain, the more troublesome it gets.

Xiao Xianyun struggled in his arms.

”I will treat you well and will never let you down in the future.”

After Young Master Xiao Zimo finished speaking, he kissed her again.

This time, Xiao Xianyun did not resist again, as if moved by Young Master Xiao Zimo’s true feelings.

After a long while, Xiao Xianyun covered her face with her hands, not daring to look at Young Master Xiao Zimo, looking as if she had no face to see anyone.

”Good night.”

Young Master Xiao Zimo said softly to the beauty beside him, and then left the place.

He hadn’t gone too far; Xiao Xianyun wasn’t in love with him yet. He had just taken advantage of her vulnerability today while she was distraught.

Continuing further would be counterproductive.

It was just unclear whether the beauty would be able to sleep tonight.
