Villain: I Can See Destiny

35: Chapter 35 It turns out I lost because of my gender.Yuanyang Ancient Domain, Sword Province.

”I heard the Sword Pavilion is about to determine the Sword Child!”

”Is it that sudden? Wasn’t it rumored before that the results would be based on the Heavenly Dao Academy entrance rankings three months from now?”

”Maybe the Sword Pavilion is afraid that not a single Disciple will be able to get in?” an untimely voice suddenly interjected.

The two people in the tavern who were discussing earlier glanced at the speaker and smiled, ”Brother, you must be new to Sword Province, right?”

”Yes, why do you ask?”

”Brother, you might not know this, but the Sword Pavilion is a long-standing eternal power. Who knows how many Sword Emperors have emerged from their ancestors.”

”That’s right. In the era when the Emperor’s Road opened, the Sword Pavilion once had the glory of producing three emperors in one pavilion,” the other person added.

”Therefore, the situation you mentioned is impossible within the Sword Pavilion.”

”Although the Heavenly Dao Academy is difficult to enter, for those qualified to participate in the Sword Child selection, it is not a difficult task; it is merely a matter of ranking.”

”Many thanks for your guidance, Brother,” the newcomer said, cupping his hands.

”It’s a small matter, not worth mentioning.”

Afterward, the two continued their discussion.

”It must be related to that purple light from a few days ago. I have a friend who is an Inner Sect Disciple of the Sword Pavilion, and I heard from him that the purple light was an Emperor Weapon. Whoever can subdue it will be the Sword Child of this generation!”

”Why do they need a Disciple to subdue it? Wouldn’t the chances be higher if an Elder took action?”

”This... I don’t know about that. I only heard it through hearsay...”

...

The Sword Pavilion is an extremely powerful force, its heritage not even inferior to some declining Immortal Clans.

Linfeng Province, which has existed since ancient times, was renamed Sword Province because of it, and it also became one of the world-renowned Holy Land of the Dao of the Sword.

At this moment, on the Sword Pavilion’s sword-discussion field, a man and a woman were pointing their swords at each other.

The man had sword-like eyebrows and star-like eyes, appearing heroic and imposing.

The woman had fair, smooth skin, slender eyebrows, and a standard oval face, giving people a feeling of heroic spirit.

”Ni Huang, how about a draw for this round? If we keep fighting, both of us will have to use our trump cards, and by then, there will inevitably be death or injury.”

”Senior Brother, then how will the position of Sword Child be determined?” asked the woman named Ni Huang.

”Revered Master, even if the two of us are tied, let the Emperor Sword decide the position of Sword Child.”

The man turned his head to look at the Revered Master of the Sword Pavilion, who was watching the battle from the high platform.

The Revered Master of the Sword Pavilion pondered for a moment: ”Very well.”

Immediately, with a wave of his hand, he sent both of them into the space created by the Emperor Weapon.

With a thud, the man who had entered earlier fell from the sky in less than a second.

”Sword Child Qi Yu, you were eliminated so quickly?” the Revered Master of the Sword Pavilion said in disbelief.

He knew his two Disciples well; both possessed the Innate Sword Body, and in situations where they were not fighting to the death, they were often evenly matched.

Because of this, he had delayed determining the position of Sword Child, intending to use the Heavenly Dao Academy entrance exam rankings three months later as the basis to decide the position.

The Heavenly Dao Academy tests the students’ comprehensive abilities, so the rankings could not be the same; the one ranked higher would be the Sword Child of this generation.

However, a few days ago, an Emperor Weapon named the purple extreme sword suddenly descended upon the Sword Pavilion, claiming it wanted to choose a young sword wielder.

He was thrilled at the time. To think an Emperor Sword had delivered itself to his doorstep! One must know that although many Sword Emperors had emerged in the history of the Sword Pavilion, not all Sword Emperors possessed their own Emperor Sword.

Emperor-level weapons are even rarer than Great Emperors, and even the Sword Pavilion did not have many Emperor Weapons...

In order to select a sword wielder, this scene before us occurred.

”Revered Master, I don’t know what happened either. I just opened my eyes and fell here,” Sword Child Qi Yu said, looking somewhat dazed.

”Could it be my fault just now?” the Revered Master of the Sword Pavilion appeared a bit uncertain.

”I will send you in one more time.” After saying this, he waved his hand again.

The next moment, Sword Child Qi Yu fell from the sky again.

This time, the Revered Master of the Sword Pavilion’s face looked a bit strange. He looked at Sword Child Qi Yu and said, ”Just now, the Emperor Sword told me that she has already selected her sword wielder and told me not to send you in again.”

”Ah? Why? I haven’t even entered, and it has already chosen?”

Sword Child Qi Yu seemed somewhat unconvinced. It wasn’t that he cared so much about the position of Sword Child, but he was just eliminated so inexplicably—he couldn’t accept it!

”As for the specific reason, Revered Master is not clear either. Let’s wait for Ni Huang to come out and ask her. The Emperor Sword might have her own considerations.”

The Revered Master of the Sword Pavilion comforted him.

Meanwhile, inside the Small World created by the purple extreme sword.

Ni Huang looked at this world made of purple-gold divine ore, her heart shaken.

So much divine ore! How many Saint Swords could be forged with this!

Suddenly, on a huge piece of purple-gold divine ore in front of her, a young girl appeared.

The girl was petite, with purple clothes, purple hair, and purple eyes. Even her eyebrows were purple. Her features were so delicate that they did not seem to belong to the mortal world, as if she were a gift from the heavens.

Even Ni Huang, who had always been very confident in her own appearance, felt inferior at this moment.

The only flaw was her completely flat chest.

Comparing the gap between the two, Ni Huang regained a bit of confidence.

”You are called Ni Huang, right? I watched the match just now. Your level of the Dao of the Sword is not bad; you are qualified to be my sword wielder.”

A cold voice came from the purple-haired girl.

Ni Huang always felt that there was a hint of dissatisfaction in the other’s voice.

”Could it be because I secretly glanced at her chest just now?” Ni Huang couldn’t help but think.

”You... are you the artifact spirit of the Emperor Weapon?” Ni Huang appeared somewhat surprised, as if she had just realized it.

”In the future, please call me Lady Ziyue,” Ziyue glanced at her coldly, disdaining to answer her question.

”Talent and appearance are acceptable, but her perceptiveness is a bit lacking,” Ziyue thought to herself.

”Understood, Lady Ziyue.”

Ni Huang replied, feeling a bit awkward inside. Her behavior just now was indeed a bit offensive to Lady Ziyue.

”Lady Ziyue, have I passed the test just like that? What about my Senior Brother?” Ni Huang asked curiously.

”Your Senior Brother didn’t even enter.”

”Ah?”

”Hmph, how could this deity be held by other men?” Ziyue said coldly. After saying this, she couldn’t help but feel a bit aggrieved. She had kept herself pure and chaste for Young Master Xiao Zimo, yet he was kissing other women!

Thinking of this, Ziyue said to Ni Huang, ”After becoming my sword wielder, you must help me defeat someone.”

”It is enough if you defeat him in the Dao of the Sword.” After saying this, Ziyue seemed to feel it was inappropriate and added another sentence.

”Lady Ziyue, who is the other person? What is their Realm?”

Ni Huang asked worriedly. Anyone who could be targeted by an Emperor Sword was certainly no simple character.

”Rest assured, they are the same age as you.”

Ziyue said indifferently, not mentioning the name of Young Master Xiao Zimo. She did not want to dampen the other party’s confidence too early.

”Lady Ziyue, don’t worry, I guarantee I will beat the other party until they cry for their parents.”

Hearing that they were the same age, Ni Huang immediately patted her chest and promised. She had absolute confidence in the Dao of the Sword.

Except for her Senior Brother who was qualified to be her opponent, she did not take anyone else seriously. Even if the other party was from an Immortal Clan, she was confident she could defeat them.

This was the confidence that came from the Innate Sword Body. It was already surprising enough that two appeared in this era; it was impossible for a third person with an Innate Sword Body to exist.

”Since you have agreed, from this moment on, you are my sword wielder.”

Ziyue glanced at her chest, feeling somewhat dissatisfied, thinking she was showing off, and immediately prepared to send her out.

”Lady Ziyue, wait a moment. Is that all? Shouldn’t we sign a contract?”

Ni Huang asked in confusion. Why was this process different from what Revered Master said?

”What, you want to sign a contract? Sure, let’s have a Revered Master-servant contract, with me as the Revered Master and you as the servant,” Ziyue looked at Ni Huang expressionlessly.

”Being able to become my sword wielder is already a great favor to you, and you still want to sign a contract? You must be dreaming!” Ziyue thought to herself.

”Then... let’s forget about it...” Ni Huang said awkwardly.

Meanwhile, on the sword-discussion field.

Everyone saw a flash of purple light in the sky, and then Ni Huang appeared on the sword-discussion field, holding a purple longsword.

In the next instant, the Revered Master of the Sword Pavilion appeared in front of Ni Huang. He said excitedly, ”Ni Huang, did you succeed?”

Ni Huang shook her head and then explained the process.

”Lady Ziyue might only sign a sword-wielding contract with you after you defeat that person.”

The Revered Master of the Sword Pavilion comforted her with his words, but his eyes were full of disappointment. This was an Emperor Sword...

”Revered Master, I will definitely defeat that person and successfully sign a contract with Lady Ziyue!” Ni Huang promised.

”Junior Sister, do you know why I was eliminated?” Sword Child Qi Yu, who was on the side, asked with a puzzled face.

Ni Huang looked down at the purple extreme sword and said to Sword Child Qi Yu, ”Lady Ziyue said she does not want a male sword wielder.”

After hearing this, Sword Child Qi Yu and the Revered Master of the Sword Pavilion both had strange expressions on their faces.

The Revered Master of the Sword Pavilion looked at Sword Child Qi Yu, not knowing how to comfort him. Finally, he patted him on the shoulder and turned to leave.

After a long while, Sword Child Qi Yu smiled self-deprecatingly, ”So I lost because of my gender.”
