Villain: I Can See Destiny

45: Chapter 45 Reborn EmpressYoung Master Xiao Zimo took the jade hand of Nangong Yi, who had been standing to his side like a maid, with his left hand, and gently removed her black veil with his right, revealing her stunning, country-toppling beauty.

”This is the Third Princess of the Southern Kingdom, Nangong Yi, and she is also my lover.”

In front of the various immortal clans and factions, Young Master Xiao Zimo declared Nangong Yi’s existence, essentially granting her a recognized status.

In this world, while the status of a concubine is not exactly low, it is certainly not high either.

It all depends on the disparity between the power backing her and the man’s own power.

Given the strength gap between the Southern Kingdom and the Xiao Clan, Nangong Yi’s status would at most be above that of a maid, so Young Master Xiao Zimo’s actions were undoubtedly a sign of his great favor toward her.

Nangong Yi gripped Young Master Xiao Zimo’s left hand tightly; she appeared very nervous, as Young Master Xiao Zimo hadn’t told her about this beforehand.

”Congratulations, Lady Nangong.”

”The two of you are truly a talented man and a beautiful woman; it is a match made in heaven.”

”...”

The crowd offered their congratulations one after another; they were not surprised that Young Master Xiao Zimo had other women.

For a Genius like Young Master Xiao Zimo, it would be a waste not to marry a few more.

Who knows, perhaps his descendants might be as outstanding as Young Master Xiao Zimo himself?

Thinking of this, some people had already begun to scout whether there were suitable women within their own clans.

Everyone, including Young Master Xiao Zimo, failed to notice the shock in the eyes of Sikong Ruoyun—who had been unmoved by the Immortal Artifact—upon hearing Young Master Xiao Zimo say he had a lover.

”How could he have a lover? In his previous life, apart from her, he had no other women; at most, he had some entanglements with that Demon Lord.”

”Could it be that because of my own Rebirth, Young Master Xiao Zimo has changed?”

”What happened to the promise of being the only two people in each other’s lives? You told me you had a lover right in front of my face; where does that leave me?”

Sikong Ruoyun thought angrily, though she quickly regained her composure on the surface.

Young Master Xiao Zimo didn’t think too much of it; he wasn’t doing it to spite her on purpose.

He felt that as an Empress of a nation, she should be accustomed to such things and likely wouldn’t care how many concubines he had.

Little did he know that Sikong Ruoyun would be so conservative and innocent regarding matters of the heart.

Of course, even if he knew what Sikong Ruoyun was thinking, Young Master Xiao Zimo wouldn’t care; the last person who tried to stop him from building a harem is probably off doing who-knows-what right now.

...

By now, the banquet had ended, and the various other clans had successively left the Buhuo World.

Now, only he and Sikong Ruoyun remained on the Hanging Island.

Young Master Xiao Zimo looked at the graceful Empress standing before him, remaining silent and not knowing what to think.

The Empress stood with her back to Young Master Xiao Zimo, also remaining silent, as if she were recalling something.

Just like that, the two fell into an eerie silence.

Since the two had officially become engaged at the banquet, Sikong Ruoyun had assumed the role of the mistress of the Xiao Clan, and everything she said and did at the banquet was in support of Young Master Xiao Zimo.

The process of chatting with her was quite harmonious; their views always coincided, and in just half a day of spending time together, he had the feeling that she was his soulmate.

Young Master Xiao Zimo knew that it was actually because she understood him very well that she gave him this feeling.

While he liked this feeling, he also detested it immensely.

She understood him so well, yet he knew so little about her; he truly hated things that were beyond his control.

He wondered, now that the Hanging Island was empty, whether he should have the Thirteenth Ancestor kill the person before him to eliminate any future trouble.

He could then frame the remnants of the Undying Divine Empire for it.

It was just a pity about her orange Luck; that’s right, Sikong Ruoyun was also a Child of Destiny!

After Young Master Xiao Zimo had this thought, his murderous intent grew stronger and stronger.

”Zimo, do you want to kill me right now?”

Sikong Ruoyun suddenly turned around to look at Young Master Xiao Zimo and spoke first.

Truly, she didn’t speak until she had something shocking to say.

”Ruoyun, what nonsense are you spouting? We only just got engaged today.”

Young Master Xiao Zimo was also startled by Sikong Ruoyun’s words, thinking to himself: ”Are you a roundworm in my stomach? How do you know everything I’m thinking?”

Young Master Xiao Zimo had now completely added her to his death list; someone who understood him this well had to die!

However, on the surface, he denied it; only a fool would admit to such a thing.

Sikong Ruoyun smiled and did not dwell too much on this question.

Instead, she said on her own: ”Zimo, do you know why I gave the Dongyang Ancient Domain as my dowry?”

”Why?”

Young Master Xiao Zimo replied at the right moment.

”Because I knew the Thunder Clan would offend you at the banquet, and the Dongyang Ancient Domain is the Thunder Clan’s territory.”

Sikong Ruoyun stared at Young Master Xiao Zimo with a smile.

Young Master Xiao Zimo was shocked; could she have the ability to foresee the future?

Sikong Ruoyun continued: ”That is not the main reason.”

”I know that with your status and position, you wouldn’t care too much about an Ancient Domain. The greatest gift I gave you is actually the Master of the Undying Divine Empire, Mo Yan.”

Young Master Xiao Zimo was a bit confused; what would he want with Mo Yan?

However, the next second, Sikong Ruoyun resolved his confusion.

”Mo Yan is a Child of Destiny.”

This sentence truly shocked Young Master Xiao Zimo; the other party actually knew of the existence of a Child of Destiny, and even knew that he was hunting them.

How could this not terrify him? This was one of his biggest secrets.

Even the Thirteenth Ancestor didn’t know; the Thirteenth Ancestor, who protected him closely, might have had some guesses at most, but definitely did not know the term ’Child of Destiny’.

However, at this moment, his murderous intent toward Sikong Ruoyun was not as heavy as before.

He wanted to know why she knew these things.

”Zimo, are you curious why I would take the initiative to get engaged to you when we have never met before?”

”And why I understand you so well, and even know your biggest secret.”

Sikong Ruoyun stated the thing Young Master Xiao Zimo most wanted to know at this moment.

”I do have some doubts; I wonder if my wife Ruoyun could enlighten me.”

Young Master Xiao Zimo narrowed his eyes slightly, then smiled.

”Because you told me all of this yourself,” Sikong Ruoyun said playfully, seemingly very satisfied with being called ’wife Ruoyun’.

However, Young Master Xiao Zimo was not in the mood to appreciate her unique beauty at this moment; he was completely immersed in shock.

”I told her? How is that possible? Even if she is a person who underwent Rebirth, she shouldn’t be able to know this; given my personality, I wouldn’t tell anyone about such things.”

Young Master Xiao Zimo was unwilling to believe what she said.

Sikong Ruoyun did not mind Young Master Xiao Zimo’s shock and continued: ”Zimo, do you believe in things like Rebirth?”

”In my previous life, I had been with you for over a thousand years, which is why I understand you so well.”

”In my previous life, you trusted me extremely, which is why you told me about the Child of Destiny.”

”In my previous life, I was your wife, your only woman.”

He didn’t know if it was his imagination, but he always felt that she was emphasizing that she was his only woman.

Also, why did you just blurt out such a heaven-shaking matter? This doesn’t make sense!

...

PS: A tiny spoiler, won’t happen again. Even in a Xuanhuan world, something like Rebirth is too unrealistic (in my worldview). Luo Cang’s Rebirth is actually fake; it is a memory fabricated for him by the heavenly dao bead. Although it is fictional, it is extremely close to reality; for example, the information about Futusi Temple is true. However, Sikong Ruoyun’s Rebirth is real, but the Young Master Xiao Zimo she knew before her Rebirth was the Young Master Xiao Zimo from Blue Star before his Transmigration. The current Young Master Xiao Zimo, while similar to the one she knew, has a bit more of a scumbag attribute. The Young Master Xiao Zimo of the two world lines is essentially the same person (reason not explained, that would be a spoiler). Sikong Ruoyun’s Rebirth will not be explained (spoiler, and she doesn’t even know it herself).
