Just Came Into Wealth, Now Renting with Three Flight Attendants

128: Exciting chase after thieves”Zhang Yu, we...” Su Mei turned her head, about to speak to Zhang Yu.

Seeing that he already understood, he drove the car toward the entrance of the Urban Village.

Once they reached the entrance, they noticed the road had become significantly narrower.

A car as large as the Cullinan couldn’t be driven in any further.

Even if they managed to squeeze it in, it would be extremely slow. It might even get stuck.

It would be faster to just run on foot.

”Let’s get out of the car and chase him.” Zhang Yu pulled the car over to the side of the road.

His initiative surprised Su Mei. ”Wait, are you coming with me to catch the Thief?”

”What else?” Zhang Yu smiled. ”I’m worried about you going alone. Let’s not waste time; if we’re late, he’ll get away.”

”Okay.” After contacting a few colleagues to ask for urgent backup, Su Mei got out of the car.

Zhang Yu also got out. But where was the person? There was no sign of him.

”Officer, there are very important items in my bag. Please, help me get it back!”

The person whose bag had been snatched was panting heavily. Upon seeing Su Mei, they immediately looked as if they had found a savior.

”Don’t worry, we will definitely get it back!” Su Mei promised.

Traffic Police are still police. Encountering a situation like this, she naturally couldn’t just sit by and do nothing.

Furthermore, Su Mei had studied Criminal Investigation. When she was at the police academy, that was her major.

It was just that after graduation, her father had pulled some strings and forced her into the Traffic Police team.

Although she felt a sense of unfulfilled ambition, she still did what she had to do and soon became a squad leader.

But being in the Traffic Police wasn’t what she truly wanted. This encounter with a bag snatcher had just ignited the passion within her!

”Zhang Yu, can you handle this?” Before starting the pursuit, Su Mei glanced at Zhang Yu.

She admitted that she had nothing to say about Zhang Yu when it came to business or street racing.

However, this was different. If you weren’t a professional, you could be risking your life.

Who knew if the criminal had any dangerous weapons? Regardless of the reason, Su Mei didn’t want to gamble on it.

”Don’t worry, let’s split up.” Zhang Yu smiled.

Looking at his smile, Su Mei surprisingly found herself trusting him.

”Alright then, let’s split up. If you find the criminal, absolutely do not engage head-on. Wait for backup! Remember that!”

Su Mei glanced at him and emphasized again. Zhang Yu nodded and said, ”There are two diverging paths here. You go right, I’ll go left.”

With that, he ran into the alleyway.

”Hey, what are you doing?”

Zhang Yu identified the footprints on the ground when he suddenly heard a sound of surprise ahead, followed by something dropping to the ground.

Although this sound might be too faint for an ordinary person to notice, with Zhang Yu’s enhanced senses, even this slight noise became a useful clue.

”He’s right ahead!” Zhang Yu identified the source of the sound and ran in that direction.

Meanwhile, the Thief was running through the alleyways. The paths in the alley were tangled and complex.

He took many turns and ran a long distance before finally breathing a sigh of relief. ”He shouldn’t be able to catch up now, right?”

Just as he was about to unzip the bag to see what was inside, he heard footsteps running toward him.

”Damn, who is so fast?” The Thief felt a pang of panic. He stood up, picked a direction, and prepared to keep running.

”Stop running. I know where you are, so surrender obediently.” Across an alleyway, the Thief heard the voice coming from the other side.

”Damn, he’s already this close?” He was shocked. The pursuer was only separated from him by a row of houses. He just needed to turn a corner to be seen.

Shouldn’t he run as fast as he could? He was a habitual offender; in the past, whenever he stole something, it was easy to get away.

What was going on today? How could he be caught up to from so far away? The Thief grew increasingly panicked. That psychological tactic from earlier had completely rattled him.

Without realizing it, he ran into a dead end. ”Damn, there’s only a wall ahead!”

The Thief realized something was wrong and turned around, ready to find another route, only to discover a young, handsome man blocking the exit, wearing a faint smile.

Zhang Yu stood at the entrance with his arms crossed, looking at the Thief with a smile. ”Whatever you took, hand it over obediently.”

”Just you?” The Thief saw that Zhang Yu was very young, had a relatively slender build, and had no weapons in his hands, so his confidence returned.

With a swift motion, he pulled a dagger from his waist. The blade was about half a foot long, sharpened, and glinting with a sharp, lethal light.

”My dagger doesn’t have eyes. If you don’t want to get hurt, get out of my way!” The Thief said viciously.

Zhang Yu got a clear look at his face; there was a scar on it. He looked quite ferocious, with clear murderous intent in his eyes and a heavy air of malice. He clearly wasn’t a pushover.

If he had encountered someone armed like this yesterday, Zhang Yu might have really had to weigh his options. However, now that he possessed top-tier grappling and combat skills, he truly didn’t take a mere dagger seriously. His confidence remained unshaken.

”Good grief, you really aren’t afraid of death!” The Thief, seeing the aura emanating from Zhang Yu, which was clearly stronger than his own, felt even less confident.

He knew that if he dragged this out and their backup arrived, it would be even harder to escape. He had no choice but to fight for his life.

”Argh!” The Thief raised the dagger and charged at Zhang Yu. One inch longer, one inch stronger. With his dagger being this long, he didn’t believe the unarmed man would dare not dodge!

However, just as he raised the dagger, intending to stab at Zhang Yu’s neck, Zhang Yu didn’t move his feet from where he stood; he simply floated effortlessly out of the dagger’s attack range.

What? The Thief was shocked and was just about to change his move when he felt a sharp pain in his lower abdomen.

Zhang Yu extended his long leg, put all his strength into it, and delivered a kick. The Thief’s stomach took the full force of the blow.

His whole body, face toward the ground, flew backward for two or three meters at a height of half a meter. He slammed into the wall before bouncing back.

The Thief spat out a mouthful of blood, propped himself up with his hands, and tried to get up, but ultimately failed.

”I was wrong! I’ll never dare to do it again. I’ll give the bag back to you, please let me go.” The Thief said with a mournful face.

”Hmph. This is robbery; you think I’ll just let you go like this?” A sharp, feminine voice rang out. It was Su Mei; she had heard the commotion and rushed over.

As soon as she arrived, she saw Zhang Yu kicking the Thief away. ”Zhang Yu, your fighting skills are this good?”

Walking over to his side, Su Mei examined Zhang Yu. He hadn’t even gotten a speck of dust on him, and he had already subdued someone armed with a dagger?
