Just Came Into Wealth, Now Renting with Three Flight Attendants

122: a stubborn person who refuses to pay his debts”Understood, President Zhang.”

Secretary Yang also blushed and walked to one side.

Then, Zhang Yu walked around the 2,000-square-meter office area again.

He had an idea in mind.

The area where the building was located happened to be in the center of Jiangcheng.

It was not too far from every administrative district.

He wanted to use this place as the head office.

Except for the people from Jiangcheng Development Bank, people from other companies could all come here when they needed to report work in person.

Moreover, it was relatively close to Binjiang Mansion, making it convenient to go home.

Just as he was thinking this, Secretary Yang returned.

”By the way, Secretary Yang, what is your name? I still don’t know.”

”In reply to President Zhang, my name is Yang Xiaomi,” Secretary Yang answered.

”That’s nice. It sounds very sweet just hearing it,” Zhang Yu laughed.

”Thank you for the compliment, President Zhang!” Yang Xiaomi said.

”However, if the accent isn’t standard, it sounds a bit strange,” Zhang Yu said.

”I know. Others have said that too, so I rarely tell people my name,” Secretary Yang said.

”Alright. From now on, I will still call you Secretary Yang. That way, everyone will be more used to it,” Zhang Yu nodded.

”Thank you for understanding, President Zhang,” Secretary Yang finished.

At this moment, a call suddenly came in on her phone.

She picked it up and answered: ”Hello, this is Secretary Yang.”

”What? Something like that actually happened?”

”Okay, okay, okay, I understand.”

After hanging up, Secretary Yang’s expression was no longer as calm as before; it had become somewhat grave.

”What’s wrong? What happened?” Zhang Yu asked curiously when he saw this.

”President Zhang, there is a payment that should have been collected but wasn’t.” Secretary Yang felt a bit ashamed, but she really had no other way to deal with this matter.

The company was transforming into a bank. It needed to review and settle past loan amounts.

Secretary Yang discovered during the inventory that there was a debt that had been overdue for a long time and still hadn’t been repaid.

The company’s legal department had been dispatched to investigate and found that the debtor had no assets under their name.

However, his wife and children were still engaging in high consumption, eating and drinking extravagantly, and buying luxury goods.

Although the company suspected that he had taken out a loan in advance specifically to leave for his wife and children, and then stepped out to take the fall for everything.

But the company had no way to deal with this because there was no evidence.

This kind of situation was actually very common on the internet now.

Many people said this was money gained by selling one’s credit rating.

Not long ago, many people took out loans of 1 million to enter the stock market. If they made 200,000, they kept 200,000. If they lost 200,000, they would still have 800,000 left. Because from the moment they borrowed it, they never intended to pay back the money.

”How much is this payment?” Zhang Yu asked.

”A total of 1 million was borrowed. It hasn’t been repaid for a long time, and there are no assets.” Secretary Yang gave a rough overview of the person’s situation.

”Absurd! This is fraud! How dare they pull this on me?” Zhang Yu couldn’t help but ask.

”Are there many such debts in the company?”

”President Zhang, the company’s overall bad debt rate is around 5%,” Secretary Yang stated a figure.

”That much?” Zhang Yu didn’t know until he asked; once he found out, he was shocked.

Although lending money collected interest and most of it could be earned back, a 5% bad debt rate meant that 5% of the principal couldn’t be recovered, right? If this was offset, wouldn’t the money earned decrease?

”Outrageous. I have to go there in person for this matter.”

”President Zhang, I and the company’s legal department can try to resolve this minor matter; how could we trouble you?”

”Do this,” Zhang Yu said, ”Take me to find that person now. Can you find him?”

Zhang Yu thought. He couldn’t tolerate a 5% bad debt rate; he couldn’t even tolerate 1%. He would take this malicious debtor as an example. By dealing with it strictly, the others who had money but maliciously refused to pay would understand the cost of default.

These things could completely be handled by the Concierge Department or by simply using people from Xinyi Group. However, Zhang Yu was idle now. With nothing else to do, it was a good chance to experience the diversity of the human species.

”It should be possible to find him. I know his ex-wife’s address,” Secretary Yang said.

”Ex-wife?” Zhang Yu was puzzled.

”It should be said that it’s a fake divorce. Although they received a divorce certificate, according to reliable information, they are still living together as a family,” Secretary Yang said.

”Good. Then take me there now,” Zhang Yu said.

”President Zhang, should we bring people from the Concierge Department?” Secretary Yang asked cautiously.

She was afraid that if the debtor got angry out of shame, there might be physical conflict, which would be disadvantageous to President Zhang.

”No need. The two of us going is enough,” Zhang Yu shook his head, then asked again, ”By the way, are you ready?”

”Everything is ready.” Secretary Yang suddenly blushed, and somewhat nervously, tugged at her skirt again.

”Alright, let’s go.”

Zhang Yu and Secretary Yang went downstairs via the private elevator. The way down was truly fast without any stops; it only took over 20 seconds to go from the 28th floor to the 1st floor. On average, it took less than a second per floor.

After getting into the car, they navigated to the location Secretary Yang mentioned.

About twenty minutes later, the car stopped at the entrance of a residential complex.

”Beautiful Flower Realm.” A few large regular script characters were carved on the stone at the entrance.

”President Zhang, their home is in Room 1503, Unit 2, Building 2,” Secretary Yang said.

”Let’s go.” Zhang Yu walked in front, and she followed behind.

They arrived at the door of that household. Secretary Yang went up and knocked on the door.

”Who is it?” A somewhat impatient male voice came from inside the room.

”It’s him,” Secretary Yang turned her head and whispered to Zhang Yu.

”I am the secretary of Pāpā Loan Company. I am here to ask, is Liu Yong at home?”

”Didn’t I tell you already? No money! Either that or go sue me in court!”

Liu Yong was a real deadbeat. ”But if you harass me now, I can call the police!”

”Where is the registered residence on this Liu Yong’s ID card?” Zhang Yu turned to ask Secretary Yang.

”Let me check.” Secretary Yang found some relevant information in her phone album, ”The registered residence is in Lan County.”

Lan County? Zhang Yu suddenly remembered. His ex-girlfriend Liu Ruyan was from Lan County, and she had an older brother named Liu Yong.

It’s just that during the years they dated, he hadn’t met him. However, in the updates Liu Ruyan posted, there was often a location tag for the Beautiful Flower Realm complex.

Comparing it like this, it couldn’t be that coincidental, right? Could it really be Liu Ruyan’s brother?

Come to think of it, this deadbeat was almost his brother-in-law.

Thus, Zhang Yu spoke up: ”Liu Yong, do you have a younger sister named Liu Ruyan?”
