I AM the Football Star

Chelsea head coach’s office.

”Well done!” Felish, with a head full of white hair, clenched his fists tightly, watching the replay on TV, his eyes fixed on that player who was quickly dribbling the football, Lu Yang.

”Hey, boss, we must buy him!” Felish was too excited.

He originally thought the team’s lineup was nearing perfection.

But two seasons of adjustments made him realize Chelsea was still missing quite a few things internally.

Fierce spirit!

Felish has it, but the team currently hasn’t.

To cultivate this, besides going through numerous fierce battles, the fastest way is to buy a highly influential and tough player.

Lu Yang fits perfectly.

Speed!

Felish’s defensive counterattack is the turtle among turtles, remarkably strong. But defense only gets one point, counterattack gets three. And the key to counterattack is speed.

Speed to the extreme!

Lu Yang is still very suitable.

This young man, over the past three years, has seen his speed soar, absolutely a typical example of secondary development!

Finally, offensive toughness!

This is the biggest shortcoming of Gutierrez.

Gutierrez is virtually a perfect modern versatile central forward, capable of everything.

But whether considering body or personality, his toughness is not enough, at least not meeting Felish’s ideal situation.

You are Chelsea’s arrowhead, your attitude decides everything, you must be ten times or a hundred times stronger than the opposing defenders!

Lu Yang... still fits perfectly!

Chelsea currently has a single-arrow formation, but if Lu Yang joins, Felish can change Chelsea’s formation for Lu Yang, devising a tactic centered around Lu Yang.

One of the double central forwards, a central attacking midfielder, Lu Yang can choose between these two core positions.

On the other end, Chelsea’s boss asked, ”Who? Who is the one we must buy this time?”

Evidently, Felish wasn’t saying this for the first time.

Chelsea’s lineup is dreamy enough.

”Lu Yang!” Felish said, ”Turn on the TV, quickly watch the Real Madrid vs. San Remo match, you’ll agree with my suggestion!”

...

Manchester City Club.

The wealthy boss had previously issued a mysterious directive, focusing on player Lu Yang, tracking his entire match process, results, data, and personal experience.

From joining the youth team at age nine until the most recent match, everything!

No doubt, the wealthy boss is acquiring a team and, after two years of silence, finally intends to wave the cheques.

Is the Blue Moon about to rise?

...

Manchester United in the same city.

Lord also continuously watched that recent moment when Lu Yang devoured Junior in the match.

”It’s so surprising. He clearly couldn’t do this before, but... as the match progressed, he seemed to grow stronger!” Lord admired while shaking his head with helplessness, ”A pity, I’m only sixty-eight this year.”

”If I were already seventy, I’d definitely buy you.”

”Just two or three years!”

”Unfortunately... there probably won’t be many chances to invite him again.”

”Hey, Averro, are you watching the match too? Listen to me, come to Manchester United, I’ll definitely take you to the Bernabéu, accomplish what Lu Yang is doing now!”

An excited voice came from the other end of the phone.

...

Arsenal, Mr. Winter still mustered the courage to dial the boss’s number.

After all, Arsenal has a chance to compete for the league title now, with such good results, the head coach certainly speaks confidently.

Mr. Winter: ”Hey, boss, I think we really should try to bring in Lu Yang, he...”

The boss on the other end, emotionally charged, extraordinarily excited: ”Rams, long live the Rams!”

Mr. Winter’s mouth twitched.

RNM!

Boss: ”Winter, what were you saying just now?”

Mr. Winter: ”Nothing, wishing your family health.”

Boss: ”Thank you, you’ve done very well this season, I’ve decided to give you and each player a bonus after this season ends! How about one hundred thousand euros per person? Or eighty thousand?”

Mr. Winter...

...

Barcelona Football Club.

Gudiola faced a group of higher-ups, his neck flushed red.

”I repeat for the last time, if possible, our number one target for recruitment this summer should be Lu Yang!” Gudiola dared to speak loudly now because he had already found his next destination.

It’s not that he betrayed Barça, but he didn’t want to be the dog tied to the coach’s bench.

Training Barça according to the higher-ups’ wishes not only consumes several years of Gudiola’s youth, but even if results are achieved, they have little to do with Gudiola.

He is a clever role like Qi Tu at Real Madrid, how could he do such selfless things?

But unfortunately, once again, Gudiola’s suggestion wasn’t approved by the higher-ups.

The higher-ups’ objections were very clear.

”He doesn’t suit Barça’s style, his football is too ugly, completely unrelated to the word ’glamorous.’” The higher-ups pretended not to see Lu Yang’s second goal where he picked three players and scored beautifully.

”Recklessly charging forward, disconnected from the team, such individual heroism is unacceptable!” The higher-ups deliberately overlooked when Lu Yang passed, carefully controlling the landing near the penalty area line.

”Even if we buy him, it would still be hard for him to quickly foster a rapport with Mateo and the others. Moreira couldn’t do it; can this Lu Yang be better than Moreira?” The higher-ups started belittling him.

Facing so many doubts, Gudiola could only point at the TV screen and say: ”But... he can score at the Bernabéu!”
