Beneath the Red Dragon

On the granite cliffs and shale bluffs flanking the two large landing sites, flags were waving in the wind.

Countless densely packed soldiers had already peeked out from the watchtowers built of granite.

The continuous line of watchtowers linked together on both sides and in front of the entire beachhead, forming a solid large military fortress defense system. Giant crossbows, armor-piercing crossbows, and heavy cannons protruded from various openings in this linked defense system, shining with the cold light of death.

In front of these watchtowers, there were countless massive trenches crisscrossing the landscape, and the large, wide trenches were filled with muddy water.

Rows of spiked chevaux-de-frise and sheets of thorny iron nets almost enclosed the entire defense system, while dark presences of magic traps lurked faintly in the gaps between them, creating a nearly impregnable defensive line that even flying birds couldn’t pass through.

Moreover, to prevent fire coverage from the Beastman army’s fleet, this land-based military defense line was positioned a redundant distance away from the landing sites — a distance that made the Beastman army appear somewhat indecisive.

“It seems like a clever tactic, but it gives us more opportunities,” the Beastman King Bossel Lane watched coldly and waved his hand lightly.

In the eyes of the defenders on Laman Beach, the vast, silent fleet on the sea began to spread out to both sides, with escort ships forming an arc to occupy every corner of the sea to be encircled.

Each main ship’s Beastman commander was roaring, conveying their orders to the messengers and flag soldiers.

The messengers and flag soldiers loudly shouted orders, and displayed attack signals, transmitting them to each participating ship.

These ships scattered along the periphery would bear the fire from the noble alliance fleet attacking from the north and south, meaning these escort fleets were highly likely to be buried in this sea, simply to cover the main landing of the Beastman army.

Yet, whether they worshiped the Wilderness Demigod or the Beastman God, at that moment, there was no distinction among them; they used their bodies to turn the entire sea into an unbreakable sea wall.

Loyal warriors always die first, then the brave ones, regardless of whether the Beastmen held justice, at this moment they were loyal to the Beastman King.

The Imperial Glory ship and the main fleet of the Golden Empire and the Beastman Kingdom began to line up near the shore, with heavy cannons raising up.

A loud commanding voice came from the Imperial Glory main ship, “Shut down the magic energy engine, start the reserve fuel engine, release heavy energy, prepare for maximum power scale strike!”

Buzz, buzz, buzz,

The resonance from the magic element energy channels moving across the sea began to fade, falling silent, followed by the sudden sound of mechanical rotation and the low roar of auxiliary engines.

The dragon-headed ram on the Imperial Glory slowly opened its huge, terrifying mouth, revealing a dark, gigantic barrel.

Accompanied by a strong vibration, a bright, massive beam burst from the dark barrel, the heavy tremor even making the orcs standing on the steel battleship feel the ground beneath them quiver slightly.

Under the astonished gaze of the Beastman army, this incomparably intense shot temporarily emptied all the magic energy of the steel battleship’s siege-breaking level main cannon, piercing through and evaporating the magic traps, thorny iron nets, and watchtowers in its path.

The noble warriors and casters alongside the evaporated watchtowers didn’t even have time to raise protective screens of mages before they vanished from the world of Aikania, leaving not even ashes behind.

What followed was the fear of the noble defense corps and the terrifying sounds filling the sky.

Hundreds of cannon ships simultaneously unleashed deadly magic brilliance and flames at the orders nearshore, plowing the expanse of the Laman Beach.

Some hidden traps and trenches and shafts leading to tunnels dug by the noble corps warriors, supported by various wooden structures, lay exposed under the gaze of the Beastman army.

Warriors hiding in the deep trenches and shafts beneath wooden boards were directly pulverized by the power of the cannon fire.

“Fire without limits, clear the firepower, prepare for landing operations!” The bold roaring resonated.

Under continuous bombardment, the Beastman army’s landing fleet began to land along the sides of the main cannon ships, each ship’s side boards opening, erecting landing bridges, and releasing a dense stream of Beastman warriors.

“Let’s go, we will lead the Beastmen to a brighter future,” the Beastman King Bossel Lane raised his Refined Gold Double-Headed Chain Armor, its blood-drenched sheen like his gaze.

The Beastman Elder Council members behind him also picked up their weapons and scepters, following the Beastman King across the deck onto the landing assault ships.

The Beastman Kingdom army began a full landing operation.

…

The freshly risen moonlight scattered across the tall, lush forest, and only sporadic rays could reach the top of the large tent hidden amidst the forest covering the front-line command center, making it look like a monstrous maw waiting to devour.

This front-line command center was positioned in a location good enough to overlook afar at Edge City, standing among the mountains.

Charal Cesar, the Emperor of Hobis Empire, surprisingly appeared here in person, alongside him stood Lord Shalos of the Dark Nest and Heroic King Anudale of the Dark Elves, all gathered before the geographic sand table of the command post.
