Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 532: Chapter 530: The Beetle and Rita Skeeter

Resistant to cold, rolling in the snow?

Listening to Kael’s description, Harry felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity, but for a moment, he couldn’t remember who it was.

Just as he was about to ask, the door was knocked again.

This time, it was still not Dumbledore.

”Hagrid, how are you? Everyone in the castle is talking about you... Oh, I noticed you’ve boiled water, can I have a cup of hot tea?”

Seeing the person who came, Harry happily shouted, ”Professor Black, what are you doing here.”

”I’ve told you many times, outside of the castle you don’t need to call me that, Harry.”

Sirius walked into the room, ”Of course, it’s because I saw the newspaper. I originally wanted to ask Professor Dumbledore first, but he doesn’t know where he went, I couldn’t find him.”

Hagrid’s cabin wasn’t large, and now with five people inside, it felt even smaller.

Harry and Ron squeezed to the left, making a small space for Sirius.

However, ten minutes later... Conna also appeared at the cabin door, along with Cedric, Cho, and the Weasley Brothers.

This time, the cabin was completely unable to accommodate them, they could only stand outside.

Conna immediately saw Kael inside the cabin and hurriedly waved her hand, ”No wonder we couldn’t find you; you have already come ahead.”

”No, I also just arrived,” Kael explained, ”Previously, Professor Black and I went to Diagon Alley. At that time, you guys hadn’t gotten up yet.”

”Diagon Alley?”

”Yes, went to Gringotts to get something, it was scheduled during the holiday, and today just happened to have time.”

Conna nodded and didn’t ask further, as she mainly came to visit Hagrid this time.

Seeing this large crowd gathered at his little cabin door, Hagrid began to choke up again, but this time it wasn’t out of sadness.

Hagrid originally thought that after knowing his identity, everyone would avoid him, but unexpectedly, so many people came to visit him.

”Thank you, thank you for daring to come...” Two round tears rolled from Hagrid’s eyes and seeped into his beard.

”Hagrid, what are you talking about?” Fred laughed, ”Our Care of Magical Creatures professor is a Half-Giant, what could be cooler than that?”

”A Pure-Blood Giant?” George raised his eyebrow and said.

”Can’t disagree.”

The two high-fived in sync.

”See, Hagrid, no one here cares about what your identity is,” Kael said.

”But Dumbledore...”

”I believe the headmaster won’t dismiss you either,” Kael patted his arm.

They didn’t stay there for long.

Mostly because it was too cold outside, and so many people couldn’t all fit into the cabin, so not long after, Hagrid said he wanted some peace and managed to send everyone back to the castle.

Harry and the others didn’t want to leave, but Hagrid was very firm and pushed them out of the cabin without allowing discussion.

However, as he left, Kael suddenly saw a beetle crawl out from the side of the open door.

”Yes, we better go back.”

After leaving the cabin, Kael walked beside Conna and said casually, ”Luckily the newspaper only mentioned the Half-Giant matter and didn’t uncover that other thing; otherwise, it would have become more troublesome.”

”What other thing?” Conna asked, confused.

”Don’t you remember?” Kael looked around, ”It’s not safe here, let’s talk back at the castle.”

Though Conna felt somewhat baffled, she followed Kael back to the castle.

It wasn’t until they reached the entrance hall that she tentatively asked, ”You’re not talking about Fluffy, right? It’s been so long, it shouldn’t be discovered.”

”Yes, you’re right, definitely no one can discover Fluffy.”

Kael said, pulling out a round bottle made from Multi-Flavor Beans and quickly placed it on his shoulder.

”Thud, Thud, Thud...”

A series of clinking sounds came from the bottle at once.

”This is... a beetle?”

”It’s a beetle, but not an ordinary one.”

Kael closed the bottle’s lid and shook it. A series of clinking sounds came from the bottle again.

”Am I right, Ms. Rita Skeeter?”

”Rita...” Conna jumped in surprise, ”You mean this beetle is actually Rita Skeeter?”

”Currently, it’s just a suspicion, but it’s easy to test. A simple little test... follow me.”

Kael walked into an empty classroom with no one in it, placed the bottle aside, and then opened his Transfiguration Lizard Skin Bag, taking out a portable camera, and a little creature looking like a plant bud.

Conna stood next to him, curiously watching as Kael opened the bottle and handed the beetle inside to the Bowtruckle.

The Bowtruckle thought it was getting a snack, extremely happy, although it preferred Earth Turtles, it wouldn’t refuse a little extra treat, immediately opening its mouth to put the beetle inside.

However, in the next second, the beetle began to twist, its whole body growing bigger and bigger.

This scene was all too familiar for Conna, it was the process of an Animagus turning back into a wizard.

Soon, a curly-haired woman with horned glasses appeared in the empty classroom.

The Bowtruckle was terrified and glanced at its hand and the sudden presence of the woman, cried out and burrowed into Kael’s pocket.

At the same time...

”Snap!”

Kael pressed the camera’s shutter.

”Truly marvelous, the famous Ms. Rita Skeeter is actually an illegal Animagus,” Kael looked up and said with a smile, ”Looks like tomorrow’s headline for the Daily Prophet is already slated.”

”Damn, give it to me!” Rita Skeeter went crazy, lunging to snatch the camera from Kael’s hand.

But in the next moment, she flew backward at a greater speed, knocking over several tables.

”It’s wrong to snatch things, Ms. Skeeter.” Kael shook his wand.

Rita Skeeter barely got a chance to stand when surrounding tables and chairs turned into ropes, tying her tightly from foot to neck, looking like a cocoon.

Even her wand was kicked aside by a table leg.

”Another illegal Animagus.” Conna said with disgust, ”No wonder you can know so many secrets of wizards, after all, no one guards against a beetle.”

”No worries, she will eventually pay for the mistakes she made.” Kael smiled, ”An illegal Animagus, that alone is enough to send her to keep company with Dementors.”

”Give it to me!” Rita Skeeter shouted again.

She never expected that the method she used countless times would suddenly fail with a student.

It’s imaginable, once that photo recording her whole Animagus process is made public, she would be done for.

Those people... Ministry of Magic officials, if they knew her Animagus was a beetle and she used this to gather information, she would be utterly finished, perhaps even silently disposed of.

So anyway, she needed to get that camera, though her mind knew she couldn’t beat Kael, resorting to force was futile.

”I know lots of secrets, Fudge and Dolores Umbridge’s, and Ludo Bagman’s.” Rita Skeeter said hoarsely, ”I can trade these, as long as you give me the camera.”

”Why should I know these, too idle, looking for extra trouble?” Kael shrugged, ”So I’m still going to...”

”But you say!” Rita Skeeter started to fret, ”What do I have to do for you to give it to me, I can write articles, lots of them praising you!”

”I think there must be some confusion, I don’t mean that and don’t need you to speak well of me in the newspaper.” Kael frowned slightly, ”Also, we Hogwarts students never threaten others to do things for us, it’s against school rules.”

Conna pressed her lips and turned her head aside.

Truth be told, there isn’t that rule, it’s already the jurisdiction of Wizard Law.

”But...”

Kael continued, ”I’m in a good mood now, so I decided to wait until the next issue of the Daily Prophet comes out, then consider whether to release the photo.”

”If I’m still in a good mood, maybe I won’t release it... anything’s possible.”

”Then I...”

Rita Skeeter tried to say something but was interrupted by Kael.

”It’s unrelated to you, just purely depends on how I’m feeling, so good luck...”

Kael waved his wand, removing the ropes from Rita Skeeter, and directly pulled Conna out of the empty classroom.
