Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 384: Chapter 382: Tainted by Association

”Don’t worry, Filius, it’s not magic power overexertion this time.”

In the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey breathed a sigh of relief after checking Mikel’s condition: ”Although he’s in a coma, his physical state is quite good, nothing major. Just let him rest for a few more days after he wakes up.”

”That’s good, that’s good,” Professor Flitwick said, patting his chest, ”What about the other child?”

”I think he’s just scared, which led to a spell error, he needs to rest for a few days as well.”

Madam Pomfrey frowned and said, ”Filius, may I ask what spell was taught in their class today?

This child’s magic power hasn’t had issues for three years, and suddenly today...”

In fact, Professor Flitwick also found it unbelievable, and even slightly aggrieved.

He couldn’t understand why this happened either.

If it were some complex charm, it would make sense, but the Revealing Spell... this can be said to be one of the simplest contents in ”Standard Spell Four,” if it were in an exam, it’s basically a free point.

They managed the more difficult Summoning Charm, but had an issue with the Revealing Spell... Professor Flitwick couldn’t comprehend it.

But anyway, as long as they’re okay.

Professor Flitwick turned to Kael, who had brought the students over, and said, ”Kael, could I trouble you to stay here and look after them?”

”No problem, Professor,” Kael agreed without hesitation, ”Leave it to me, I will take care of them.”

Professor Flitwick nodded, exchanged a few more words with Madam Pomfrey, and hurriedly went back to class.

...

”What did you say!”

At noon, in the corridor in front of the auditorium, Marcus Flint looked at Cedric with a heavy expression and said loudly, ”Your Beater was sent to the hospital wing?”

”Yes.”

Cedric sighed: ”All of us agreed to change the match schedule, but who knew Mikel was so careless, getting injured during Charm Class and sent to the hospital wing.

I just came back from there, and Madam Pomfrey said he needs to have a good rest for a few days.”

”So...”

Cedric looked at Snape and said apologetically, ”Sorry, Professor, if we change the schedule, we’d be short a player for tomorrow’s match...”

Marcus Flint looked very upset, but Cedric remained calm and composed, ”If you don’t believe me, you can go to the hospital wing to check.

Or you could ask Professor Flitwick... Mikel and Cho Chang were sent to the hospital wing by him.

Oh right, Cho Chang is the Seeker of Ravenclaw. Due to Mikel’s mistake affecting her, her original spell had some issues too, so she was sent for treatment.”

Upon hearing this, Marcus Flint exploded with anger.

He didn’t even care that Cedric was still there and shouted, ”They’re all faking it, otherwise how could it be such a coincidence. No way, I’m going to the hospital wing to expose them!”

With that, he stormed off angrily toward the hospital wing.

Cedric didn’t stop him, slowly following behind.

When he walked over, he just happened to see Flint being kicked out.

Madam Pomfrey obviously wouldn’t allow him to cause trouble in the hospital wing.

”Now do you believe it?” Cedric said calmly, ”Really, everyone in the Charm Class saw it happen, how could I possibly be lying to you.”

The enraged Flint ignored what he said, still shouting toward the hospital wing: ”They must have used items from Zonko’s Joke Shop, they’re not really injured, it’s all fake!”

Snape also suspected the same.

They wanted to change the schedule, and suddenly Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw players both got injured, it seemed too coincidental.

If anyone believes there’s no problem, even Longbottom wouldn’t buy it.

But he couldn’t say anything.

Magic power problems with Mikel are quite normal, he even brewed the Demon Suppression Potion himself back then.

Moreover, he couldn’t rush into the hospital wing and drag the two out, demanding they change the schedule... Professor Flitwick and Professor Sprout weren’t there just for show.

Everyone was pretending, if it were to be thoroughly investigated, no one would escape, and their reasons seemed more valid, with two grades of students and Professor Flitwick testifying for them.

Unlike Malfoy, who just wrapped a bandage around his arm.

Looking at Cedric beside him, Snape sneered, ”Surprising, Mr. Digory, I thought you’d be willing to take care of injured classmates.”

”I am willing, Professor,” Cedric said, ”But you saw, we’re short one player, really can’t manage it. Of course, if you insist...”

He hesitated for a moment and finally gritted his teeth, ”We would still agree, even if it meant playing with just six players, it’s okay, losing a match is no big deal, just as long as we can help Draco.”

Snape squinted.

He was too familiar with Cedric’s innocent look now, just like someone else... both so infuriating.

Cedric in his first year wasn’t like this.

”No need,” Snape said coldly, ”Tomorrow’s schedule remains unchanged, let your team members rest and heal.”

Marcus Flint turned anxiously, ”Professor, they’re faking it, as long as...”

”Shut up!” Snape scolded.

Then he turned and walked away, seemingly unwilling to stay a moment longer.

”Excuse me, please move aside, I’m going in to check on our Beater.”

In Marcus Flint’s furious gaze, Cedric walked into the hospital wing, but soon he poked his head back out, slowly revealing a smile, ”Right, good luck with the match tomorrow.”

”You...” Marcus Flint burned with rage, wishing he could punch Cedric in the face.

But after Cedric finished speaking and entered the hospital wing, even though Marcus clenched his fists until they cracked, he could only glare blankly.

...

And so, until the match the next day.

In the hospital wing, Cho and Mikel suddenly recovered, standing in front of Madam Pomfrey, wishing to be discharged.

Originally, Madam Pomfrey didn’t want to agree, but seeing the liveliness of the two, decided to check them one more time.

The results, of course, showed no problems, so she agreed to their discharge request.

”Remember to be more careful in the future,” Madam Pomfrey said, looking at Mikel, ”I remember you can already control your magic power, right?”

”Maybe just impatient from failing the spell repeatedly,” Mikel said, ”I promise, it won’t happen again next time.”

Seeing Mikel’s good attitude, Madam Pomfrey said nothing more, nodding and allowing them to leave.

”Sorry for the trouble,” Cho said politely.

Mikel hurriedly followed suit.
