Ferocious Boss: Hubby, Let’s Get Married

Chapter 637: You’re Not Fit to Be with Me, and I Despise You

Yue Pengcheng was stunned by Mrs. Yue’s smile.

When a person hated someone, that someone would always be inferior in that person’s eyes. Once the hate dissipated, however, they would slowly begin to realize that the person they once hated looked much more attractive.

There was a time when Yue Pengcheng hated Mrs. Yue, so whenever he looked at her, he felt that she was a disgusting rich girl who used her position to bully people around her. That all changed, as Yue Pengcheng’s subject of loathing was now Ding Fu.

That was why, for the first time ever, he found her smile beautiful.

Thirty years had passed before he realized that.

He really did do severe injustice towards Su Ningmei in the past.

Seeing the way she smiled made him feel confident that he had her wrapped around his finger. At that moment, he felt that his charm was absolutely unparalleled.

He reached out to hold Mrs. Yue’s hand, but she smacked him away.

Yue Pengcheng was not abashed and continued, “My mind is filled with all those painful experiences that happened in the past. I’ve been doing a lot of repenting these few days, and I will surely learn from my mistakes and turn over a new leaf. I won’t repeat the same mistakes I made in the past. Everyone goes through a period of youth. Who doesn’t make mistakes when they’re young?

“It’s always been said that anyone who makes mistakes can turn over a new leaf as long as they learn to repent. Ningmei, a day as husband and wife, means endless devotion for the rest of our lives. We’ve been husband and wife for thirty years. Please forgive my mistakes. It was in a moment of madness that I did that kind of thing. Ningmei, could you please give me one more chance?”

A cold smile appeared at the corner of Mrs. Yue’s lips as if she was listening to a joke or something of the like.

She looked at Yue Pengcheng without saying anything and waited for him to continue just so she could see what else he would cook up.

Her face, full of irony and mockery, did not look too stern but seemed to be pricking Yue Pengcheng bit-by-bit, making him uncomfortable.

Feeling slightly flustered, he said, “Ningmei…have you forgotten the two beautiful months we spent on a honeymoon? There was a moment of happiness in our lives… We will have many more like that. I promise to make sure you’re as happy as the time when we were newlywed. I… AGH…”

Yue Pengcheng face felt scalding hot. He shrieked and jumped up from the sofa immediately.

Mrs. Yue slowly put down the coffee cup and said, “Yue Pengcheng, when you talk about this, don’t you think that you… stink to the highest heaven? Since you didn’t even consider my dignity, don’t blame me for treating your face like a dustbin.”

Thankfully for him, the coffee was not boiling hot. It merely turned his face red and made him feel numbingly hot.

He looked at Mrs. Yue in shock, since he did not expect her to splash coffee on his face.

He could hardly believe his eyes as he looked at the current Mrs. Yue and wondered where the stupid woman went…

Yue Pengcheng exclaimed in shock. “You… You… Su Ningmei, you disappoint me. I can’t believe you did such a thing.”

Mrs. Yue’s expression turned dark, and she smiled, saying, “I’ve never taken you seriously, not now, not ever… Yue Pengcheng, you’re not fit to be with me, and I despise you. However, I won’t divorce you because I’m the Yue family’s madam, and no one can take my place.”
