Ferocious Boss: Hubby, Let’s Get Married

Chapter 632: Other Women May Be Better, But Mrs. Yue Did Not Like Them

Mrs. Yue did not understand what Yue Tingfeng meant by that. She simply thought, ‘My son said it best, my son said it perfectly, my son is correct.’

She was a fiercely loyal person whose impression of someone would improve once she deemed that the person was a good person. Their flaws would cease to be flaws in her eyes, and the person would be regarded highly that no one could say a single bad thing about them.

An example would be how Mrs. Yue looked at Yue Tingfeng. Save for his looks and wealth, Mrs. Yue felt that there was not a single good point about him.

Nevertheless, Mrs. Yue was the only person who could criticize him. No one else was allowed to do the same, and if they did, they would invoke her anger.

It was the same with Yan Qingsi. Be it the flaws or strengths, she was the young girl that Mrs. Yue liked and the potential daughter-in-law that Mrs. Yue acknowledged. Mrs. Yue did not care about others because Yan Qingsi was the only one that felt good to her. Other women may be better, but Mrs. Yue did not like them. She only liked Yan Qingsi,

That was the reason no one was allowed to say anything bad about Yan Qingsi.

The old Su couple looked at each other. A profound sense of worry could be seen in their eyes.

The two of them felt that Yan Qingsi was like a monster, blinding the eyes of their daughter and grandson.

They wanted only the best for mother and grandson, but with the mother-son duo irreversibly transfixed, the old couple did not know what to do.

Su Lil’ Three held Grandmother Su. “Grandma, actually, you don’t need to worry that much. Yan Qingsi’s really not that kind of person. She’s actually very good.”

Grandmother Su huffed coldly. “What do you know?”

Su Lil’ Three sighed. “Grandma, its different now than it was then.”

Angered by that, Grandmother Su said, “What is so different? In the end, she’s still…”

She stopped herself from finishing that sentence. The thing she wanted to say was, ‘She’s still an actress.’

Those of the older generation, like Grandma Su, did not hold actresses in high regard. In fact, they even looked down on actresses. Their first impression would always be, ‘With so many different jobs available, why is there a necessity for one to become an actress?’

Actresses were always improper, to some extent.

That was the prejudice they had against Yan Qingsi, and in reality, feeling antipathic towards her was a natural reaction given all the rumors.

Yue Tingfeng chatted amicably with Mrs. Yue, but deep down, he was sad and worried.

He was hoping, of course, that the elderly Su couple would take a liking to Yan Qingsi, believing that there was no reason for them not to like her. The truth, however, was that they did not like her at all. Women like Yan Qingsi were impossible to like at first glance, especially when one did not get to know her better.

Yue Tingfeng could understand why Grandpa and Grandma Su did not like her that much, but he still did not want to hear statements putting down Yan Qingsi coming from anyone’s mouth.

As bad as she was capable of becoming, it was only something he could mention. Others were not allowed to have that luxury.

Yue Tingfeng began to doubt whether he should let Yan Qingsi meet his two grandparents.

Making a formal introduction under such circumstances would not end well, and he most certainly did not want to let Yan Qingsi hear their words.

Still, they would forever be unable to understand Yan Qingsi if she did not meet them.

Yue Tingfeng found himself at crossroads. His mother regarded his maternal grandparents as important figures, and in his relationship with Yan Qingsi, she would want to get the approval and blessing of those closest to her.

At face value, however…

Yue Tingfeng frowned and thought, ‘Forget about it. Leave it be.’ At the end of the day, the Su family was not the Yue family. When he finally marries Yan Qingsi, there would be plenty of time for them to get to know each other.
