Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Cassimine was wrapped in bandages. After a night, her injuries had improved quite a bit. She approached Su Changxing and whispered, ”Can you really cure the plague?”

Su Changxing glanced at her and smiled, ”Of course. Otherwise, how do you think the plague on Nobu’s family got better?”

Is magic really that powerful?

Cassimine questioned in her heart, then asked again, ”Can you cure more people? Or can your method spread?”

Su Changxing’s lips curled into a mysterious smile, ”Yes, but there are conditions. You should know, such things aren’t things mortals can accomplish.”

Cassimine’s face was incredulous, thinking of something, ”You have ties with the God as well!”

With Su Changxing’s hint, she thought of the Divine Spirit. Only beings like them could accomplish such deeds; otherwise, there was no way to explain Su Changxing’s prowess.

Su Changxing said it candidly and easily, ”I am a Heretic but also a believer, faithful to the God I worship, who is a Divine Spirit. It’s not necessarily generous or grand, but at least it doesn’t harm people on purpose.”

Cassimine listened to Su Changxing, somewhat skeptical, ”What does it need, or what conditions are there to cure the plague?”

Su Changxing thought she was quite perceptive, with a strong concept of interest exchange in her mind, worthy of a Princess, ”Spreading faith and expanding believers, of course. I asked before, it can help believers cure the plague.”

Cassimine bowed her head in thought for a moment, then asked again, ”What are the conditions to become a believer? As far as I know, joining the Housheng Sect and becoming a believer has extremely strict conditions, which is why their believer count remains small.”

This question indeed caught Su Changxing off guard, he hadn’t thought so much before, ”There are no conditions. It is a generous and inclusive God.”

Cassimine nodded thoughtfully, she didn’t have many doubts about what Su Changxing said.

Since the Divine Spirit hasn’t appeared for a long time, the church had already declined, and much knowledge was lost. She wasn’t too familiar either.

”So what is the name of this Divine Spirit’s church?”

Su Changxing didn’t think much, feeling that whatever the name was seemed fine. So he took the name of the Housheng Sect, switched a letter: ”All Beings Sect.”

Cassimine recalled, ”I’ve never heard of this sect, it hasn’t appeared in recent hundred years of history.”

Su Changxing shook his head, confidently stating, ”No, this is quite an ancient sect, older than the history of the Empire. Due to the long slumber of the Divine Spirit, the All Beings Sect almost broke tradition and vanished from history.”

”However, recently, there are signs of that Divine Spirit waking up, so I became the first believer.”

Cassimine looked at Su Changxing, wide-eyed, ”Are you really a believer? Shouldn’t you add honorifics when referring to the Divine Spirit you worship?”

Su Changxing said indifferently, ”I’m actually just half a believer, considering my relationship with that Divine Spirit of mutual help and fair trading.”

Fair trading?

Trading fairly with the Divine Spirit?

Cassimine felt something was off but couldn’t point it out immediately, ”So are you now planning to recruit the surviving people in West City as believers?”

Su Changxing nodded, ”Of course, it’s equivalent to saving their lives. After all, for most people, getting infected with the plague is basically equivalent to death.”

”Since the Divine Spirit saved their lives, making them believers seems only fitting.”

Cassimine thought about it and found Su Changxing quite reasonable, ”Indeed, so looking at it this way, the Divine Spirit behind you is pretty good, at least it wouldn’t do something as heinous as massacre a city.”

Su Changxing said earnestly, ”Gods, like humans, have good and bad ones. Those that massacre cities are naturally Evil Gods, Outer Gods.”

Saying this, even he believed that there was such a generous and inclusive Divine Spirit behind him.

Cassimine did not harbor a trace of doubt, instead having some other thoughts. Since humans can’t oppose Divine Spirits, perhaps Divine Spirits can oppose Divine Spirits.

Times have changed, so they too need to follow the trend. Choosing a generous and inclusive Divine Spirit seems like a good idea.

The Horror Ghost Ship gradually sailed into West Port, and the scene of corpses all over the shore frightened the crew.

They had only heard about the city being massacred before, but seeing it in person felt completely different. The desolate corpses scattered everywhere were real.

”The nobles of Maelon are too overboard, they simply don’t treat people as people. If given the chance, I would definitely dump their heads into the latrine!” A crewman named Billy, who was muscular though not tall, said with a vicious tone as he raised his fist.

Another crewman looked at Billy and asked, ”Are you disembarking?”

Billy smiled and shook his head, ”No, no, I’ll stay and guard the ship, guarding the ship is more important.”

”I think you are just scared. I’ll stay on the ship with you.” Another older crewman said passionately.

”That’s the Rune Warrior, they’re charging at us!”

A crewman shouted while pointing at the shore, seeing a white figure striding towards them.

At this moment.

The ship had just docked, and before the Rune Warriors could get close, a vast number of ghosts surged out from the ship.

”Abnormal targets detected, identifying, unable to identify.”

The Rune Warriors seemed to be aware of these ghosts’ presence but could not see their exact locations, causing them to halt, falling into a brief confusion.

Hundreds of different kinds of ghosts surrounded and attacked it, creating a metallic clatter all over.

The Rune Warriors could not determine the ghosts’ exact positions, resulting in them spinning aimlessly, firing randomly, and swinging their blades haphazardly.

Parts from their bodies were dismantled one by one, falling to the ground, causing the lower half to become completely paralyzed.

The ghosts on the Ghost Ship were immortal, coming endlessly, and in no time, the Rune Warrior was dismantled by the ghosts without even having the chance to self-destruct.

Su Changxing was somewhat surprised to see the ghosts on the ship easily take down a Rune Warrior.

He discovered a vulnerability in these Rune Warriors—they couldn’t discern the positions of ghostly entities.

This was an easy task for any Extraordinary, yet the powerful Rune Warriors could not manage it.

This could be considered a vulnerability yet not, as there were virtually no ghost sightings in this world, and these ghosts couldn’t venture far from the ship.

Then, Su Changxing and Nobu Kasmin walked along the riverbank towards the direction of the abandoned factory; along the riverbank, Su Changxing cleared out two Rune Warriors and did not encounter a third.

Nobu explained to Kasmin, ”Because of those mechanical monsters, the survivors can only gather in these remote corners to remain undiscovered. Once discovered, it’s a dead-end.”

Kasmin expressed her disbelief, ”Who would have thought that the invention Eric created would eventually become a killing machine.”

”At that time, many people were against this invention, thinking it was of little use and would only amplify the destructiveness of war.”

Nobu looked at Su Changxing, curiously asking, ”Why are we here?”

Su Changxing looked at the abandoned factory covered in ivy not far away and calmly said, ”This might be the birthplace of the All Beings Sect.”

Nobu seemed puzzled, not understanding what it meant, ”The Rat God Cult changed its name to the All Beings Sect?”

Su Changxing shook his head, ”No, we are going to create a new church, the All Beings Sect.”

The believers in the warehouse saw Su Changxing approaching and slowly lifted the door, with Mike and others waiting at the entrance to greet him.

Mike strode out, bowing respectfully and saying, ”Sir, we’ve been eagerly awaiting your return; we remain steadfast in following you.”

Kasmin showed a look of surprise, thinking Mike’s respect for Su Changxing was excessive, like a servant.

Su Changxing nodded and walked inside, ”How is the situation in the factory now.”

Mike said, ”Everything is fine, nothing unexpected, and everyone else is willing to join us.”

Upon entering the warehouse, Kasmin saw that all the believers were bald-headed and asked in surprise, ”Do all All Beings Sect believers have to shave their heads?”

She thought that if this were the case, many women might be unwilling to join the All Beings Sect.

Mike shook his head, ”Of course not; they were originally followers of the Rat God Cult, required to shave all body hair, but now they’ve renounced the darkness to follow the master’s light!”

Kasmin showed a look of surprise, thinking these people worshiped Su Changxing too much; weren’t they followers of that god?

She didn’t ask much since she didn’t understand well.

After entering the warehouse, Su Changxing gathered all the followers on the top floor while Kasmin and others stayed on the lower floors.

Su Changxing saw a frenzy of worship in these believers’ eyes, yet they were calm, without any fluctuations in their gaze, as this devoutness was rooted in their hearts.

”Have you all decided to follow me?”

”Follow the master’s radiance until the end.”

In front of the believers, he took out the divine statue from the Pocket Galaxy, placing it on the ground, as a gentle radiance flowed over it.

These believers began to kneel and offer their devout faith in front of him, causing his Mysteriousness to start rising.

However, the increase wasn’t much, slowly stopping around sixty thousand.

Su Changxing realized that these people had been severely exploited by Carella before, so they contributed little faith.

That didn’t matter; the important thing was that he could continually gain faith and steadily increase his Mysteriousness through this.

A Tier Six Extraordinary requires 400,000 Mysteriousness to ascend, five times the requirement of a Tier Seven, which involves a considerable period of accumulation for most players, and may even become a dead end.

For him, increasing Mysteriousness was now quite easy. By continuously expanding the All Beings Sect believers, he could gain a massive amount of Mysteriousness.
