Global Game: I Have Portable Store

”In that case, you still owe me, this item’s quite valuable, capable of enhancing Spiritual Power, I acquired it with great effort, and now it’s your gain.”

Su Changxing sighed, speaking with a serious expression.

The Saintess listened to Su Changxing’s words and chuckled softly, ”According to what you’re saying, I’ve gotten a great deal then.”

Su Changxing nodded and affirmed, ”That’s roughly the case.”

”I’ll let you go for now. Once we get out, it’d be best if I never see you again.” The Saintess spoke harshly without any expression and then turned to the others:

”I promise that everyone still in the camp can leave the Slaughter Game alive, consider it a reward for hunting down the Demon.”

”This Slaughter Game offers greater blessings than ever before, attracting more participants, enough for us to share.”

Less than a hundred people remained in the camp, some died, and a large part fled.

The Saintess smiled brightly, saying lightly, ”What we have left to do is simple, just unite, kill everyone left in the game, and we can share the fruits of victory.”

This suggestion delighted many in the camp. If this turns out to be true, aren’t they destined to advance and walk out of the Slaughter Game alive?

The Buddha Son chimed in, ”I have no issue, someone has to survive after all.”

The implication was clear, someone has to survive, so why not them?

With a common goal, these people could turn enemies into friends, and they were no longer just a mob.

Qu Ping was also in a daze, initially thinking that leaving the Revenge Game alive was a distant goal, but now felt it wasn’t so hard, seemingly within reach.

Su Changxing didn’t quite understand why the Saintess and Buddha Son would make such promises. Logically speaking, the fewer who survive, the more benefits those who do would receive.

That’s also why the Slaughter Game is so bloody, usually, not many survive, especially the weak who become the first targets to be killed.

At this moment,

Heavy footsteps approached.

Gurulu strode up to Su Changxing, raised his head, and shouted, ”My brothers and I will kill you all!”

He recalled the agreement he had with Su Changxing to hunt others together, how interesting that would be.

”...”

Su Changxing blinked, patted Gurulu’s uninjured shoulder, and smiled, ”Actually, we could join them, what do you think?”

Gurulu showed a puzzled expression, ”Huh?”

Su Changxing looked at the others, particularly staring at the Saintess, and said with a scheming demeanor, ”This is my brother, think clearly before messing with me.”

If Gurulu wasn’t injured, he might consider such a proposal, but now it’s hard to say.

These people were as sneaky as foxes, who knew what tricks they had up their sleeves; facing many with few was obviously not a wise choice.

Since the Saintess suggested it, joining forces against others was a better choice, fighting to the death would be a lower move.

However, although Gurulu wasn’t very sharp, he seemed to genuinely regard him as a friend, which took Su Changxing by surprise.

Previously,

He and Gurulu were in the square together, not because of anything else, but because he preferred to communicate with simple-minded people, not expecting Gurulu to have such strength.

Carl, as expected, easily agreed to the proposal, having to comply; despite his strength, he couldn’t face so many people’s siege.

After this, they did not venture elsewhere, just stayed in the camp to recuperate and heal.

But the epidemic’s existence made many suffer.

To this point, the circle of the red barrier was no larger, just encompassing the snow mountain and surrounding areas, yet, in such a small scope, one or two thousand people were still alive.

”At this stage, many will have significantly reduced strength due to illness, those able to resist it hold a big advantage.”

Qu Ping spoke with a grim face, the plague affected him greatly, even causing lesions on his face.

Su Changxing could only feel somewhat sorry inside; he couldn’t control the plague, even showing signs of lesions on his hands, as the plague resurged over time.

This was to be expected, the plague had become part of his body, related to his Physique, and as his body grew stronger, so too did the plague.

Qu Ping noticed the lesions on Su Changxing’s hand and apologized, ”It seems I’ve infected you.”

His voice was weak, his body partially paralyzed, likely further affected by Su Changxing’s plague.

Su Changxing felt a bit helpless, retreating a few steps to distance himself from Qu Ping, feeling that staying close would hasten his demise.

He needed to think of a way to control the plague.

After resting for a while, the red barrier moved again, and they followed it up the mountain, killing participants encountered along the way one by one.

Many in the camp were not weak; the weaker ones had fled during the Demon hunt, unable to withstand the pressure.

Including Liu Wen, who fled with others after seeing the Saintess lose an arm.

Su Changxing’s group blocked the path up the mountain; with the red barrier’s movement, those below had to ascend and face them.

Standing on a rock, Su Changxing sniped at those below one by one; the plague had significantly weakened them, making them easier to kill.

To forcefully push forward, they’d have to go through the blood-red thorns set by the Saintess.

Forward was death; staying was still death.

As the red barrier moved behind them, they had no choice but to run up the mountain, collapsing one by one without any organization.

Once confirmed that no one was left below, they continued upward, it seemed the center of the red barrier was at the summit.

By then, Qu Ping’s face was ghastly, half of it rotten, he staggered in his walk, unable to keep up.

He was near the limit of resisting the plague’s erosion!

Qu Ping sat on the ground, pessimistically saying, ”I’m afraid I won’t make it out, you go with them, leave me.”

Su Changxing assessed his state, asserting, ”You’re far from death; even if I have to drag you, I’ll get you out.”

Saying this, he looped a rope around Qu Ping and dragged him up the snow mountain.

The higher they went, the stronger the wind, whipping up a blizzard, layering everyone’s hair and eyebrows with snow.

Carl and the others also looked troubled as the disease’s impact couldn’t be ignored, even by them.

”Who’s the first place exactly? We haven’t encountered them yet.” Carl spoke gravely, ”If, as you said, they’re also a Demon, dragging this out, we’re surely no match; we must find a way to identify them early.”
