Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Early the next morning, Lin Xiuyu came over, looking at him with a heavy expression:

”Boss and the others are trapped at sea. We’ve completely lost contact with them just now. I hear they were trying to return using a small vessel that can sail the sea.”

”A small vessel that can sail the sea?” Su Changxing wasn’t very familiar with the matters on the coastal side.

Lin Xiuyu explained: ”The coastal region was flooded by seawater that fell from the sky. This seawater is pitch black, regular ships can’t float on it, only those small boats acquired from the task would do.”

Su Changxing immediately understood Lin Xiuyu’s meaning, and said: ”An accident happened during their journey sailing back?”

Lin Xiuyu nodded, looking very grim, and said:

”Yes, the sea is extremely dangerous. Boss had already explained to me before that there’s a high chance they wouldn’t make it back.”

Pitch black seawater?

Su Changxing estimated that this might be seawater from the Wizard World, but flowing towards them from the Black Fog World.

This seems to indicate that a large part of the Black Fog World is also flooded by this seawater.

”They really treat our world like a garbage dump.” Su Changxing sneered, understanding what was going on.

Lin Xiuyu was somewhat puzzled, and asked: ”What do you mean?”

Su Changxing gave him a meaningful look, picked up the half-bottle of wine on the table and poured it into a glass:

”Their world is also flooded by this seawater, so they drain the water into our world using the same principle as the black fog.”

”It seems to be their customary method, mysteriousness brings great power, but also brings unmanageable dark entities. They can’t balance it, so they resort to such crude tactics.”

Lin Xiuyu added: ”The director and boss are together, they disappeared together.”

Su Changxing was stunned for a moment, not expecting such a situation. These two important people from the Security Bureau ended up wiped out together.

This indeed poses a troublesome issue, without the director of the Security Bureau at the helm, the National Security Council might step in.

However, this isn’t the most urgent situation.

After a moment of silence, Su Changxing said: ”Does this affect our plan?”

”There should be no impact for now, as many players have already come from various regions nearby, and they are currently stationed in He Kou County, under the command of my Team 17.” Lin Xiuyu explained.

Su Changxing nodded, passing him the space bag containing the Guide Pendants: ”Distribute these items to them, you should hurry over, otherwise time could be tight.”

”No problem.” Lin Xiuyu took the space bag and left.

With more Extraordinary appearing, more players also emerge, representing more points.

So far, Team 17 has accumulated over a thousand Extraordinaries, and their ability to earn points is multiplying.

The points in Su Changxing’s hands have formed a cycle, constantly receiving a large influx of points from various members and teams.

Then he converts the points into mysterious items, crafting them into Guide Pendants, and distributes them.

The price of Guide Pendants on the forum has been pressed very low to just eighty thousand points, seemingly affordable for any player.

Players not only buy for themselves but also for relatives and friends, so they too become Extraordinaries.

Of course, the low price of the Guide Pendants is intentionally set by Su Changxing; otherwise, if others were to speculate, the price might skyrocket.

This wasn’t his original intention.

He merely aims to drain other players’ points to craft more Guide Pendants, not for monopoly.

His Mysteriousness has reached a terrifying number of 180,000, capturing more Extraordinaries emerging because of him.

Since Harris fell, the Wizards in Donglin City have been quiet, taking no actions whatsoever.

This puzzled Su Changxing.

In his worst-case scenario, Richie would come personally to trouble him, but it was not the worst outcome.

If Richie comes personally, he would interrupt the construction of the passage, buying them more time to maneuver.

Meanwhile, he contemplates one thing, whether the bounty hunter ”Hound” spoke the truth.

He prepared, knowing even if ”Hound” doesn’t act, they can still deal with Richie.

On another note.

He previously contacted Shen Xuan, confirming a plan to eliminate Otto and poison Richie, at the cost of Chu Caiming’s ”death” once again.

This plan was originally proposed by Chu Caiming.

In the earlier battle, he didn’t completely die, rather transformed into a praying skeleton.

In essence, he died in the conventional sense; only his will and spirit remained.

It was destined the moment he opened the Book of Death; whether he fell in battle or not, death merely expedited the process.

For those already dead, real death has no meaning.

After dying, they are reborn in a place called the Death Realm, akin to a respawn point.

In other words, it’s their cage, where eternal life means being trapped forever.

Even if they manage to leave, they periodically die and return.

The location of the Death Realm remains unknown, though it sounds like a place similar to Hell or the Underworld.

Su Changxing knows, while ordinary people’s souls scatter after death, there is no reincarnation here.

Maybe elsewhere, but not here.

After Richie is poisoned, his power will decrease to some extent, undoubtedly increasing their success rate marginally.

Though it’s insufficient to be lethal, Richie is very powerful, requiring various strategies to close the gap.

The enormous gate of Donglin City has been completed, with only five days left before the passage’s completion.

Even with thousands of new Extraordinaries in Donglin Region, the Extraordinary era hasn’t begun.

The difference is even more than Su Changxing anticipated.

...

Footsteps resounded from behind.

Xu Kai walked from the corridor to the door, knocked, and said: ”Teacher, the person has arrived and waited an hour downstairs.”

Su Changxing set down the wine glass, stood up, and said: ”Let’s go, see what’s happening.”

There was a man with styled hair, wearing a suit and carrying a briefcase marked with an overlapping five-pointed star.

He was an Extraordinary.

”Leader Su, it’s finally good to meet you.” As he saw Su Changxing, he stood up, looking pleased and excited.

Su Changxing approached, calmly saying: ”This...commissioner, is there anything urgent? Feel free to contact me directly.”

The opposite party was from the National Security Council.

During the initial proposal for Donglin City, many in the National Security Council opposed it, feeling it was unwinnable and advising to conserve viable forces.

Only after Su Changxing killed Harris did the proposal become fully decided, deploying nearby preserved regiments in Donglin Region.

”I’m Ren Xian; Leader Su is quite the hero. That previous battle dented enemy morale and invigorated our spirit. I’m very impressed.”

The man laughed while opening the briefcase.

”What’s inside?” Su Changxing asked.

The man carefully extracted the contents: a letter of appointment, a green booklet, and a medal: ”Leader Su, here’s the general’s appointment letter. From today onwards, you’ll fully command the war, unifying all military forces in Donglin and the surrounding region.”

Su Changxing glanced at the man’s possessions, unmoved, simply asking: ”Is this issued by the National Security Council?”

The man nodded: ”Yes, it formally makes you the supreme commander of Donglin.”

In other words, Su Changxing now controls the entire Donglin Region legitimately.

Su Changxing knows what worries the National Security Council; they fear and strive to maintain old order, even during apocalyptic times, knowing it’s futile.

The world is reshuffling due to the presence of the Extraordinaries.

The appointment letter seems an unnecessary step, actually a method to maintain old order.

They want everyone to know Su Changxing is appointed by the National Security Council, leveraging its name, while also drawing him in.

Su Changxing accepted it, reaching for the letter, smiling: ”Thank you, Commissioner, for bringing it here.”

The man waved repeatedly: ”By no means, it’s my honor.”

Su Changxing stored the appointment letter, calmly saying: ”I have things to attend to, I’ll be off now. Commissioner, if you need anything, feel free to ask. We’ll accommodate.”

The man smiled broadly, waving: ”No issue; General Su, you’re busy; you’re busy.”

After Su Changxing left for a while.

The man’s expression faded, showing no emotion, pondering while taking out a phone from his pocket, typing, seemingly sending a message.
