Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Luo Haotian knew he was probably exposed and thought it would be best to strike first, to kill Yuan Shaohua before he could react.

”Brother, I just remembered something, you guys go back first.”

He smiled at Luo Haoyi as he spoke.

Luo Haoyi was holding pancakes and porridge, his eyes trembling as he looked at him, and he yelled softly with anger: ”Nonsense! You’re coming back with me first.”

He forcibly dragged Luo Haotian all the way home, his grip was incredibly strong, even Luo Haotian was surprised.

There was a light inside, not bright, the TV was on, but it flickered with static.

Luo Haoyi placed the porridge and pancakes on the table and called out, ”Yuanyuan, come out to eat.”

A young girl dressed in a pink coat with small footsteps emerged from inside, holding a comic book in her hand.

”There’s so much to eat today,” she said, delighted.

Luo Haoyi handed her porridge and pancakes and pointed to the back room, saying, ”Go eat inside, your uncle and I have some matters to discuss.”

The little girl was very understanding, put the comic book on the table, took the porridge and pancakes, and ran into the back room.

Luo Haotian felt he should explain to Luo Haoyi, they were family after all, and his actions would definitely implicate both father and daughter.

”You should be able to guess that I am an Extraordinary, also a Player. That night I went to assassinate Yuan Shaohua, but I failed.”

He spoke, grabbing a pancake from the table and took a bite. It had little taste, slightly salty, not good, but enough to fill the stomach,

”That scum Liao Hua, he probably already figured out my identity today and will inform Yuan Shaohua.”

”So I might as well act first, directly kill that scum; he is a complete traitor and has no reason to live.”

Luo Haoyi shook his head, chuckled coldly, and said, ”What’s the point of killing him? There’s one Yuan Shaohua and there’ll be a second Yuan Shaohua.”

”You failed the first time, can you succeed the second? Whether successful or not, you’ll implicate Yuanyuan and me.”

His words, mercilessly pinpointing the heart and interests, like tearing through the smog that floated on the surface.

Luo Haotian hung his head, feeling guilty, feeling he let down his brother and niece, betrayed their trust, but still he said softly:

”Actually, I thought like you before, just preserving oneself, why care about so much.”

”So I’ve concealed my identity, stayed here with you, but these days have made me change... living muddled, yet seeing no tomorrow.”

”I feel this is not the life we should lead, nor the life humans should lead. Here, how are we different from pigs, cows, and sheep.”

”Outside, people starve to death, die from exhaustion, killed wantonly by Wizards, yet they don’t feel a bit of resistance, simply because they are Ordinary People, because they have no Power.”

”At a certain moment, I suddenly realized that even if we have enough Power, we won’t resist because we’ve become like slaves.”

”Humans are born for freedom, so our society climbs step by step upwards, each person striving to climb higher.”

”So we might as well die for freedom, not for anything else, just to not suffer this humiliation.”

”If this keeps up, I’m going to go crazy...”

Speaking like this, Luo Haotian’s face grew more sinister, flushed red, as if a fury burned within him.

Luo Haoyi’s face remained icy cold, as if it could extinguish these flames of anger, slapping the table:

”I see you’ve gone mad. You can never fathom what a person will do to survive, yet you think of dying.”

”Who gave you this mission? Tell me!”

He stared at Luo Haotian, danger flashing in his eyes, like a sleeping lion about to awaken.

Luo Haotian hesitated a moment, then said: ”Can’t tell, it’s confidential.”

”Hmph, confidential?”

Luo Haoyi snorted coldly, again asking: ”Did they say why Yuan Shaohua must be killed? There must be a reason, I think it’s not just because he sided with the Wizards.”

Luo Haotian was silent for a while: ”I don’t know, but roughly to take down a certain Wizard.”

Luo Haoyi seemed to laugh out of anger, snorting coldly: ”You willingly go sell your life, not even knowing what to do specifically.”

Luo Haotian’s expression changed, seriously saying: ”Why need to know, I just need to understand that I’m doing the right thing.”

Luo Haoyi sighed, finally relenting, saying: ”Go then, but don’t get yourself killed.”

”But this will involve you and Yuanyuan.” Luo Haotian bowed his head.

Luo Haoyi sighed, took two cigarettes from the left pocket, lit one for himself and handed one to Luo Haotian, ”Already implicated, no way to turn back. Go then, kill that scum, actually I too want to kill him.”

”Haha, in this way, we truly are brothers. Don’t worry about so much, if you want to do something, just go do it.”

Luo Haotian nodded, took a deep drag from the cigarette, walked into the room, put on a black trench coat, wore a mask, hid a rusty short knife in his sleeve, then went out the door.

There’s no reason to hesitate much, he was familiar with the route, had rehearsed what to do in his mind again and again.

There’s no oversight, if failure occurs, it’s just fate, too many uncontrollable things, under the Wizards’ watch, many things are hard to control.

Luo Haoyi watched Luo Haotian leave, silently smoking, head bowed, eyes full of weariness: ”Ah, people...”

At this moment, he truly felt like a failure, a runaway, mind filled with fear.

...

Luo Haotian walked straight to Yuan Shaohua’s residence, it was not dark yet, but due to the dark mist, the streets were completely dark.

No one noticed him, even if seen, they just pretended he didn’t exist.

He was like someone walking alone on the street, facing the biting wind, feeling the sway of the trench coat.

At this moment, he finally felt completely relaxed, no concerns, no attachments, just needing to do what he wanted to do.

Yuan Shaohua’s residence was in the center of the management area, at least there was some hustle here, dim lights flickered, appearing somewhat bustling.

Across several streets, he then saw Yuan Shaohua’s residence, many people coming in and out, they were well-dressed, faces holding smiles.

”No wonder, tomorrow is his ascension ceremony, these people must be envious.”

A mocking look appeared on Luo Haotian’s face.

The so-called ascension ceremony was something Yuan Shaohua concocted to celebrate becoming a Wizard.
