Child of Destiny

Roar!

The thunderous roars of the three elemental dragons that Arthur had summoned reverberated throughout the battlefield.

The three dragons had also fused with Arthur, initiating his transformation. He immediately entered the state of triple Elemental Possession, entering the strongest state aside from the ultimate Dragonification that he had used during the grand finals of the United Cup.

Boom!

Facing the incoming Mountain Dragon that had a colossal size, Arthur stood his ground bravely and held his spear and shield.

Roar!

With yet another powerful roar that reverberated throughout the battlefield, a massive flood of energy suddenly rushed out of his body.

Boom!

The sky turned dark all of a sudden. The weather had changed once again, just like how he had manipulated it in his earlier battle.

Boom!

A heavy storm suddenly descended alongside the thunderous roars of lightning that kept flashing through the clouds.

Boom!

When the mountain dragon was about to reach Arthur, a pillar of lightning suddenly struck down from the sky and struck it right on its head, and forcefully threw it to the ground.

Bang!

Despite the thick earthen armor that it had, it felt helpless against the pillar of lightning, especially when the latter accurately targeted the little gaps that segregated the turtle-like shell on its back and the back of its neck.

The lightning easily sliced through this gap and cleanly severed the head of the dragon, destroying such a colossal construct in an instant.

Bang!

“You may have acquired such a power, but your control is a bit too clumsy in front of him,” commented Arthur, ignoring the fact that the opposing side was unable to hear him.

BOOM!

Right after, a strong figure suddenly broke through the collapsing body of the mountain dragon construct and charged straight to Arthur.

Swoosh!

His explosive speed was quite fast, reaching Arthur in almost an instant.

Roar!

Right after, he released an intense battle cry while brandishing his pair of battle hammers at his opponent.

“Hmph!”

Arthur, who was subjected to such an attack, swiftly took a step back while raising the shield on his left arm.

Bang!

He did not directly confront the attack of his opponent, slightly tilting the angle of his shield to let the hammer slide through its surface.

Along with a slight push of his arm, he was able to successfully offset most of the force from the impact. He had even used the forward momentum of his opponent to throw the opposing side off balance by redirecting the course of that attack.

This then made the movements of his opponent slightly off, especially when the momentum from his other hammer was greatly disturbed.

This also gave Arthur a window to counterattack.

Swoosh!

Like a viper waiting patiently in the bushes, Arthur’s spear struck forward right behind his shield.

Shing!

Such a perfectly timed counterattack instantly put his opponent in a difficult predicament, especially when the latter could sense that the surrounding mana was swiftly being affected by a strong flow of mana.

He could already tell that it must be under Arthur’s influence, which was similar to what happened during his battle against Cobra.

However, despite being thrown in the midst of such a predicament, he remained calm and collected.

His eyes were filled with extreme tranquility, which was somewhat opposite to what his earlier actions were showing. His earlier hotheadedness completely disappeared, and was replaced with cold indifference.

Swoosh!

Midair, he forcefully altered the trajectory of his other hammer that was supposed to strike Arthur.

Whoosh!

By following the momentum of the first hammer that Arthur had deflected earlier, he skillfully twisted his body midair and barely dodged the spear that was heading straight to his heart.

Shing!

Metal sparks flew in the air as the blade of the spear ground through the surface of the opposing side’s earthen armor.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

While still suspended in the air, this expert from the Dragon Pavilion was able to generate enough momentum to spin rapidly along with his battle hammers.

Due to Arthur’s sudden strike, his momentum brought him forward and put him in a predicament where his opponent’s battle hammers were about to strike his back.

Swoosh!

However, Arthur was still able to respond accordingly, using his forward momentum to suddenly turn his body to the side.

This sudden turn made him face the incoming attack sideways, along with his shield that was already waiting for the incoming battle hammers.

Along with these actions, he also fixed his stance as soon as he could, lowering his hips as much as possible to strengthen his center of gravity.

BOOM!

When the battle hammers struck the shield blocking it, Arthur was sent skidding back, leaving a deep trail on the ground.

Arthur barely fixed his stance when he suddenly kicked the ground, propelling himself toward the opposite direction.

Bang!

Crackle! Crackle!

Along with the trails of electric arcs behind him, Arthur was able to reach his opponent in almost an instant, striking the latter with his dragon spear.

Swoosh!

On the other hand, his opponent utilized the rebound force from the earlier collision to bounce into the air.

He then turned his body midair while also raising both of his battle hammers over his right shoulder. He was winding up a stance in the air and preparing strike his opponent, who he had expected to strike him while being airborne.

Swoosh!

When Arthur reached him, he was already facing the latter and swiftly swung his battle hammers down.

BOOM!

The strong forces that they generated through their actions caused their respective weapons to pause before each other.

Crackle! Crackle!

The strong mana energy that they were generating and channeling toward their respective weapons clashed against each other, producing strong repulsive forces that repelled each other and prevented their weapons from directly touching each other.

Boom!

A moment later, the space between their weapons seemed to have collapsed and produced a strong explosion that sent the two away from each other.

Arthur was sent skidding back for another time, drawing yet another deep trail on the ground with his feet.

His opponent, on the other hand, flew toward the opposite direction like a kite with a broken string.

He flipped in the air a couple of times before managing to regain his balance. He then forcefully let his body fall on the ground, producing a loud explosion in return.

Boom!

Seemingly having a tacit agreement, the two immediately kicked the ground and started charging straight at each other once again.

Bang! Bang!

Swoosh!

Crackle! Crackle!

One of them turned into a blur that flew straight to his opponent, while the other became a beam of light filled with lightning arcs surrounding it.

Boom!

Right after meeting in the middle, the two immediately produced a strong explosion due to their weapons clashing against one another.

This time, they did not linger after the collision and proceeded to execute a series of moves against one another, showcasing their battle prowess and martial arts.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

In just a span of seconds, the two of them had already exchanged dozens of moves. Their figures flew throughout the battlefield, repeatedly clashing and constantly producing explosions for every collision.

In these exchanges, it was clear that Arthur was slightly behind when it came to raw strength and power. His opponent had a clear advantage whenever their weapons clashed. He could even feel that his arm was growing numb due to the lingering force that he had received from those collisions.

However, his techniques were clearly more refined and highly advanced in comparison. It was easy to see that his martial arts were more powerful than those of his opponent.

However, the overwhelming strength of his opponent managed to bridge this gap, putting them in a deadlock.

The entire battle was already in great ruins after the previous battles. However, due to the intense and destructive collisions between these two, the ground was littered with multiple pits.

After a few more melee exchanges, the two had finally started using more advanced techniques in their arsenal.

Arthur had started utilizing all the elemental powers that he currently controlled under his possession.

The elemental powers of ice, water, and lightning danced around his body.

Under his skillful control, a variety of constructs appeared one after another.

An array of ice spears surrounded by lightning fanned out behind him while pointing toward his opponent.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Pointing his spear forward, the array of ice spears flew toward his opponent, bombarding the latter with powerful explosions.

In the meantime, his opponent slammed his battle hammers into the ground, sending a powerful shockwave that flipped the earth, seemingly creating an artificial landslide.

BOOM!

This tide of rocks and stones formed a barrier against the incoming barrage of ice spears.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of explosions immediately followed it, forming a chaotic storm of mana everywhere.

Roar! Roar!

Immediately after, a pair of thunderous roars reverberated throughout the battlefield, even shaking the barriers protecting the platforms.

Then, everyone saw a pair of dragons appearing amid the thick cloud of smoke and dirt.
