Tentacle Monster Reincarnation: I Will Protect the Heroines

The man named Niekawa Kazuki does not exist in the original.

Nezumi-san understands that.

No, he exists, but calling an existence only depicted as Male Student A an original character is a stretch.

An existence who only dies without being able to do anything, and even in a reality that has greatly diverged from the original his ability is fitting for a human. He does not possess specs to entangle in the story.

Therefore Nezumi-san had no expectations of him... no, she had not even properly recognized him.

One of the people that Vigilante saved, only that.

And yet.

”...What is this.”

She throws away the usual sleepy expression and tone and pulls her face tight.

The instant he was charmed, the man named Niekawa’s specs jumped.

Of course not a level comparable to Sacred or Magician Diabolics. He who was only an existence of a thoroughly trained student degree has started overrunning the strengthened male students.

A bamboo sword tip is slammed into the chest of a man closing from the front. In that opening he avoids by a paper’s width the ones who closed from left and right to attack and strikes the nape. After stepping on a fallen student and striking the top of a closing man’s head he pulls the bamboo sword back and slams the pommel into the forehead of a man closing from behind.

Overturning the premise that battle is numbers, one, and another one, not yet, still still, more, faster faster quicker. He optimizes movements and raises annihilation speed.

If it were only that even Knight could do it. Unceasing training and specs as a Sacred can defeat enemies faster and more brilliantly than him.

The different point is one. Niekawa is not killing the male students.

He is injuring them.

There are probably also those with broken bones.

But no one has taken an injury to the degree of life danger.

At the figure advancing while burning away the spider threads that twined Knight, Nezumi-san muttered ah... small.

If this had been a story like an ordinary me got involved in a fight, the protagonist might have died before putting out his own strengths.

If a strong enemy comes to crush him before he grows and fully participates in the story, the still-weak protagonist dies anticlimactically.

Words Nezumi herself thought a little earlier.

If the protagonist of a world where the original was altered was still weak, he might have died meaninglessly.

But if. If the reverse of that is happening.

If a man who originally should have died anticlimactically was saved by someone.

If he survived, obtained a chance to grow, and could put out a strength.

Would a mere mob character follow a different fate?

Like a modern ability-battle protagonist.

Involved in a fight, saved by a hero, worrying about himself lacking power while wanting to be their help, struggling. And now.

”Does it mean he awakened... like a protagonist.”

◇

Livy Ido was confused.

Someone overflowing with a sense of justice intruding, or Knuckle or Adle coming to aid. That possibility had been conveyed by Alter.

Whichever, he said she could shut it down with demon eyes and charmed male students, and Livy while finding it regrettable to obey Alter’s order had been convinced.

On top of that this time. A male student overflowing with a sense of justice, the opponent Livy is easiest to control, came.

It would end easily. It should have.

(Impossible! Impossible! Impossible. Why, how!?)

A man closes.

The man called Niekawa Kazuki.

Striking the charmed male students, forward, forward, straight toward Livy.

”Get back! Did you think I would stop at this degree...!”

The bamboo sword flips.

Niekawa who charged into the male students who had become hesitant raises a monkey-like cry and advances forward.

Niekawa’s gaze pierces Livy. Your orders are not worth listening to, I will definitely beat you down.

”What are you...!? How on earth...!?”

I do not understand, I do not understand, I do not understand. How did he prevent charm?

She has survived Remora with these demon eyes as the main axis. She possesses combat technique and can also use darkness magic, but that is only an accessory.

Precisely because of that, precisely because it is an ability she is used to, she realizes it. Activation was not obstructed, she was not repelled, charm activated fully.

But the situation happening in reality is the opposite.

The man named Niekawa lights fire of anger in his pupils and beats down the men Livy commanded. He should not do this kind of thing, a charmed man should not break other men, Livy’s property.

”Kazuki! Do not overdo it.”

”No, here is the place to overdo it!”

He who flicked the male students away denies Knight’s restraining voice and runs toward Livy.

That figure is scary.

Because she does not understand, because she cannot understand even a fragment why it has become this kind of thing, Livy chose defense over interception.

A bamboo sword is slammed into Livy’s arm and of course cracks and shatters. While being showered in bamboo fragments scattering para-para Niekawa still does not stop.

”Why, how, do this kind of thing...!?”

”Do you not understand.”

Before she can scream back how could I understand, Niekawa declares with a dead serious face.

”Everything. Because of love offered to you.”

”...Ha?”

”...!?”

Thinking stopped. Even Knight stares at Niekawa with an astonished face.

What on earth is this man saying.

A bad-quality joke or something, she thinks and looks back at Niekawa’s face, but on his face there is no vanity at all.

Serious.

Seriously going against Livy’s orders saying for you. To offer everything to the woman named Livy Ido.

”As a result even if I am hated by you that is fine. No, it is not fine. It is sad, and I will probably regret this choice.”

”No way.”

She had greatly misread the premise.

Charm had activated fully.

It was not nullified, she was not repelled. Of course, because he does not possess an ability to prevent charm.

Then the talk is simple.

The man named Niekawa Kazuki, same as the other male students, is charmed by Livy.

Natural logic.

Since there is not a single element for him to prevent charm, thinking he is charmed same as the other male students was more natural.

”But even so? Even though the woman I love is about to fall to the outside path? Because I do not want to be hated I obediently obey orders? ...Don’t be ridiculous.”

Did you think I am that kind of man.

With a face filled with anger, yet somehow seeping affection.

”Even if I am hated by you I will definitely bring you back to the light. Lend me power, Sacred Knight...! Grant me flame!”

”...Very well.”

Knight is below Alter in the strategic aspect.

But if it is tactics.

She can at least think how to maneuver optimally in the fight of this instant now.

Therefore she guesses the reason Niekawa maintains advantage toward Livy, and judges she should move him freely here now.

Losing in strategy, framed in a form of defeat.

Then.

Have him smash that large premise.

Niekawa is wrapped in flame.

Knight’s holy flame fills his body and raises specs.

”Don’t screw with me...!”

At that situation Livy held impatience.

What is this, strange, neither I nor Alter assumed this kind of situation.

While raising a scream at unknown fear she flexes tied hair like a whip and releases it at Niekawa.

But it does not reach strengthened him. He takes distance with a backstep and avoids hair that tried to crush his head.

Is it because a body good at moving the body, devoted to club activities, was strengthened? Certainly there is also that.

But one larger factor more than that.

”If you love me then listen to what I say. Kill Knight and present that head to me...! Why do you get in the way. I hate you, I hate you who will not listen to what I say...!”

”Laughable. Overlook a lover’s mistake because the relationship will break? Don’t screw around, I will say it as many times as it takes. The me you loved is by no means that kind of man...!”

The man named Niekawa Kazuki has awakened with the power of love.

Like a protagonist reaching a hand to a heroine fallen to darkness, he broke the limit to save the one he loves.

Yes. Precisely because he loves he stops you, and raises ability by leaps.

Livy’s charm ability is only a thing that embeds love.

An ability to make charmed men pieces, if you love then offer everything.

Other than that she leaves it to the person’s own will. Otherwise she cannot manipulate well.

Continuing to give instructions one by one during combat takes too much time, and in the first place she is not particularly excellent as a commander.

Precisely because of that she makes them tribute fighting power.

Then the men desperately work for the Livy Ido they love. They fight on their own with the highest morale.

With that power she rose to the upper ranks of Remora’s Magician Diabolics. That many with aptitude for magical power of darkness are male is also large. Her ability had good compatibility in the world called Remora.

I do not want to let go of Livy, I want to taste that body, I do not want to throw away this relationship. Therefore I will obey her. She has stimulated and used men’s desire.

Therefore she did not know.

An existence who points a sword this way because they love.

That there is an existence who if the person they love tries to commit a mistake tries to stop them with full power.

In Remora there was no such man.

In that world the opposite sex is only an existence to connect one’s own genes, so the feeling of not wanting to let go of an existence that charms oneself, an excellent mother body, was strong. In the first place an equal relationship cannot be hoped for.

Precisely because of that she surged, and now here her path is blocked by the man named Niekawa.

”You lot too, you lot!”

Toward those who tried to become a shield to protect Livy, Niekawa releases an angry shout.
