Marvel: All My Incarnations Are S-Class Villainesses

Chapter 222: Chapter 222: Lux’s Forbidden Spell

Someone has to help Annie... she absolutely cannot face the Hulk alone.

Sumire’s brows furrowed tightly.

Even though Annie was only a C-Class Avatar, Sumire liked her from the bottom of her heart.

She could not stand by and watch Annie be killed by the Hulk like this.

A few minutes ago, she had already sent Perona to provide support.

After all, Perona’s ”Negative Ghost” was the natural nemesis of a reckless brute like the Hulk.

This had already been perfectly verified back in Harlem when dealing with the Abomination and the Hulk simultaneously.

Interestingly, Perona’s main body was currently right beside Sumire.

Because the Chitauri Army had already spread like locusts to the block where Fisk Tower was located.

Sumire had long since slipped away from the rooftop and hidden back in a room.

To be safe, she had even crawled inside Kumashi’s hollow plush belly to hide.

Perona’s main body was also inside, eyes closed and leaning against Sumire’s shoulder as if asleep; it was fortunate that both Sumire and Perona had slender figures, which kept Kumashi’s belly from feeling too cramped.

In reality, while Perona’s main body was with Sumire, her Ghost Clone had already left her body and was rushing toward Annie’s location at top speed, except... at this moment in the skies of New York—

The translucent Perona was gritting her teeth and flying forward with all her might.

As a ghost, she could indeed ignore terrain and pass through walls, but her flight speed was truly nothing to boast about.

To make matters worse, a small squad of Chitauri Soldiers on flying motorcycles was tailing her like a lingering curse.

These aliens looked at the girl with twin tails, holding a burgundy parasol and cursing as she floated along, their faces full of questions.

What is this thing?

Finally, one impatient Chitauri Soldier raised his energy gun and pulled the trigger at the back of Perona’s head.

”Swish—”

The energy beam passed through Perona’s translucent ghost body without any obstruction, then accurately hit the butt of another Chitauri Soldier directly in front!

That unlucky alien comrade screamed and tumbled straight off his motorcycle.

The unlucky fellow screamed and fell right off the bike.

The alien who fired the shot froze for a moment, then quickly lowered his gun, pretending to look at the scenery.

”So annoying! A bunch of blind, low-level reptiles! Not cute at all!”

Perona rolled her eyes in frustration and gave a lazy, dismissive flick of her hand backward.

Several palm-sized Mini Ghosts drifted lightly toward those motorcycles.

Bang! Bang bang!

A series of ghost explosions instantly turned that swarm of alien flies into black ash.

After clearing the obstacles, Perona sighed and continued floating toward the Hulk’s direction like a hard-pressed laborer.

Inside Kumashi’s belly, Sumire was very anxious, and there was constant commotion on the rooftop outside.

The tall Kotetsu Isane was stationed there alone, meeting the Chitauri vanguard that was surging in like a tide.

The lieutenant of the Fourth Division slowly drew the Zanpakutō from her waist and held it horizontally before her.

”Run, Itegumo.”

Along with the Shikai chant, the Zanpakutō in Isane’s hand changed form.

The originally straight blade did not twist, but near the base of the hilt, two sharp blades grew diagonally outward like the branches of a snow crystal, making the Zanpakutō resemble a peculiar trident.

The next second.

Whoosh—!!!

A dense, frigid white mist poured out from the blade like an avalanche, instantly sweeping across the entire rooftop of Fisk Tower.

The low temperature caused the surrounding air to immediately condense into frost.

Those Chitauri Soldiers who had just landed were frozen stiff in the white mist; before they could pull their triggers, they were cleanly cut down by Isane.

As for those flying motorcycles that hadn’t had time to land yet.

The alien engines stalled and frosted over instantly in the low temperature, losing power like chunks of scrap metal and crashing one after another.

However, the defensive area at the top of the building was simply too large.

In the end, a few stragglers slipped through the broken glass of the outer walls, sneaking into the luxury penthouse on the top floor in an attempt to find civilians to slaughter.

Several Chitauri Soldiers held their energy guns and cautiously kicked open a solid wood door, but what met their eyes was not a trembling Earthling—

It was a pair of small hooves burning with purple-black ghost fire!

”?”

The alien soldiers were stunned.

Before they could react, that inherently disobedient and rebellious little Nightmare Beast snorted.

Bang!

Its hind legs exerted force like springs, and a hoof kicked squarely into the chest of the foremost Chitauri.

The little Nightmare Beast looked small, but its strength was staggering.

Accompanied by the crisp sound of breaking ribs, the Chitauri Soldier spat out a large mouthful of blood and was sent flying backward, knocking several companions behind him into the hallway like a set of bowling balls.

Before they could climb up from the ground, a large shadow loomed over them.

They looked up in shock, and what met their eyes was Kumashi’s grotesque ragdoll bear face.

Kumashi directly raised its two massive bear paws.

It grabbed a Chitauri Soldier in each hand and slammed the two soldiers together in the middle like someone clashing cymbals.

[Bear Paw Impact]!

With the sound of shattering bone and flesh, the two Chitauri were instantly flattened into a bloody pulp.

On the other side, Perona certainly wasn’t the only one wanting to pull away to help Annie.

Lux was equally anxious, but she was held back by the enemy in front of her; Thor, controlled by the Mind Stone, was incredibly tanky. Lux had bombarded him with all sorts of magic for a long time, but instead of waking the God of Thunder, she found herself in a bitter struggle.

After all, Thor possessed a powerful divine body; he could rely on his high health to make countless mistakes, but Lux was just a squishy little mage. If she were even grazed by Mjolnir, it would basically be game over; her margin for error was very low.

She retreated while observing the streets below.

Captain America Steve and the others were leading Police officers from a few blocks away, constantly moving to evacuate the remaining crowds from the surrounding buildings and the ground.

Calculating the time, this place was very close to Stark Tower, and over twenty minutes had passed since the alien invasion began; most civilians who could run had already fled.

After confirming there were likely no civilians nearby, Lux made a decision.

She threw the Axe of Angarruumus.

Thor simply tilted his head slightly to dodge the flying axe, a wicked, cold smile curling at the corner of his mouth.

But just as he wanted to step forward, he stumbled, his body seemingly yanked back by something.

Looking down, his flashy red cape had actually been pinned to the asphalt road by that axe.

Thor pulled hard a couple of times, but fearing he might tear the cape, he simply reached out to pull the axe out.

The moment he gripped the handle, he even marveled in his heart that this was truly a rare and fine weapon.

To his surprise, upon being held, the Axe of Angarruumus directly let out a huff of air.

The entire axe shuddered and actually came to life.

It broke free from his palm, turned itself around in mid-air, and chopped toward Thor’s forehead!

Thor was startled and quickly swung Mjolnir, engaging in a clash of moves with this artifact that seemed to possess its own intelligence.

Taking advantage of the moment Thor was preoccupied with the axe, the wand in Lux’s palm began to spin at high speed.

Majestic light elements gathered toward her like a tide; the overflowing energy even caused her entire body to float, and her eyes lit up with a pure, incandescent white light. Compared to the fool across from her who was struggling with an axe, Lux at this moment radiated a holiness and divinity that one dared not look at directly.

Anyone unaware of the situation would likely mistake her for a true deity descending upon the world.

”Captain! Get everyone far away! I...”

”I’m going to use some forbidden spells!”
