A Warm Marriage After Rebirth

Chapter 464: Chapter 464: Refusing to Let Go (Part 4)

Terrence Grant’s air of arrogant self-assurance returned. It was different from Justin’s—Justin was just a paper tiger, coming off more like a common street thug. Terrence Grant, however, had earned the right to be arrogant. In just one short year since joining The Grant Group, his achievements were considerable.

The Grant Group’s development project in Sanford was executed flawlessly. It allowed the company, which had never dabbled in the tourism industry before, to carve out a huge slice of the market. Not only the company’s veterans but also the family elders sang his praises. It was a pace of growth few could ever hope to match.

”I look forward to competing with you in the future, Mr. Grant,” Martin Quinn said with a faint smile. Seeing the woman in his arms yawn, he finally relented and let Seraphina Sterling take the person away.

Mission accomplished. Seraphina Sterling shot a casual glance at Terrence Grant. ’Not bad. I’ll chalk one up for you.’

Terrence Grant returned her look with a smile. ’I’m more interested in the day I can officially stand by your side.’

Seraphina Sterling looked away, giving no reaction. ’Officially? Legally, I’m not even an adult yet. It’s far too early to be talking about this.’

Besides, as the old saying goes, people don’t cherish things that come too easily.

Nadia Chapman was finally safely out of Westbound. Fortunately, she was only slightly injured, with no permanent damage. But a feud had been ignited. Seraphina wouldn’t touch the Chapman family, and Martin Quinn wouldn’t let the people at Westbound off the hook. As for the Fenton Family, she would handle them herself. She hadn’t planned on letting them go in the first place; after this, she would show no mercy.

Nadia Chapman was on leave, under strict orders from Seraphina Sterling to rest at home. All matters at Keystone Technologies were handed over to Chester Sykes. As for Apex Wealth Management, her involvement had only ever been a smokescreen, so it didn’t matter whether she showed up at the office or not. Of course, while it didn’t matter to Seraphina, it mattered a great deal to the clients who wanted to invest.

Although Apex Wealth Management was only a fledgling firm, it had generated immense profits for its clients in a remarkably short time. Aethelgard was full of wealthy people, and not all of them wanted to run their own businesses. Everyone was looking for a fast, efficient, and secure investment channel. They had finally found one, but now the person in charge had vanished. People were starting to get extremely anxious.

The most anxious of all was Leo Fenton. He had signed a contract for five hundred million. His original plan was to conquer her that night, to make her docile and completely devoted to helping him make money. But things had gone wrong, and now he was worried Nadia Chapman would act on a grudge, take public office for private revenge, and mismanage his funds. He had been planning to do whatever it took to appease her, but he never imagined she would simply disappear.

Nadia Chapman knew nothing about any of this. She was already living the life of a lazy pig—eating, sleeping, and then eating some more.

Seraphina Sterling’s life was just as leisurely. Her university courses were a complete breeze for her. Club activities had already begun, but because her competition with Preston Patterson was still ongoing, she was exempt from participating. She only needed to watch from the sidelines.

Shelby Fenton had also been lying low recently. Or rather, she was so busy she didn’t have time to cause trouble. Word was that she had somehow landed an internship at Fenton Bank. She would be at the company whenever she didn’t have a class for her major, but she would still rush back for any stock trading club activities. The amount of capital she was investing was also growing, from an initial one million to ten million. Her spending was staggering. It was hard to imagine just how much money she had. Even the other members, who all came from affluent backgrounds, couldn’t help but be astonished by Shelby Fenton’s wealth.
