A Warm Marriage After Rebirth

Chapter 453: Chapter 453: Swift Rescue (1)

Nadia Chapman froze for a few seconds, then acted as if she hadn’t seen a thing and headed straight for the main hall, as though she’d never known the person at all.

But Fiona Chapman, surrounded by a group of friends, wasn’t about to let her go. She called out directly, ”Nadia Chapman, come have a drink with us! Trying to run off the second you see me? Got a guilty conscience, afraid I’ll find you out?”

”I’m very busy. I don’t have the luxury of lounging around like a pampered princess. You have fun on your own!” Nadia Chapman turned and glanced at the shady characters surrounding Fiona Chapman. ’They aren’t from Aethelgard’s first-tier elite families, not even second-tier. They can’t even compare to the Chapman Family. Isn’t Fiona always so proud? Why would she hang out with people like this?’

”Busy with what? Don’t tell me it’s business! Conducting business in a bar—isn’t that something men do? Or is this how you sealed the deal for your company? Pouring drinks? Singing karaoke? Did you have to sleep your way there, too?” Fiona Chapman had clearly had a lot to drink, her tone dripping with sarcasm. ’Ever since Nadia left, Dad doesn’t spoil me like he used to! He even put a limit on my spending. This is all Nadia’s fault!’

Nadia Chapman strode over to Fiona Chapman in her high heels. With a swift lift of her arm and a sharp SMACK, she slapped Fiona across the face. ”Watch your mouth! If I hear you say one more insulting thing about me, that’s what you’ll get! I have nothing to do with the Chapman Family anymore. Don’t think I’m the same person I used to be. If you don’t believe me, go ahead and try me!”

Fiona Chapman was completely stunned by Nadia’s sudden, powerful slap. Her ears were ringing, her face burned with a fiery sting, yet Nadia’s words came through with chilling clarity. Fiona shrieked, ”You hit me? You actually dared to hit me! Nadia Chapman, this isn’t over! I’ll make you pay for this!”

”I’ll be waiting! I’m dying to see just how you’re going to make me pay!” Nadia shot back, turning to leave. But she only made it two steps before her path was blocked again.

”You think you can just hit someone and walk away? It’s not that easy!” The man standing beside Fiona Chapman stepped forward to stick up for her.

Seeing someone back her up, Fiona Chapman’s confidence surged. ”Justin, waste her for me! I’ll take responsibility for whatever happens! My parents have never laid a finger on me my entire life, and you dare to slap me! If I don’t teach you a lesson today, then my name isn’t Fiona Chapman!”

Nadia Chapman frowned, sizing up the heavily tattooed man. ’What are the chances he’ll actually try something in here?’ she wondered.

”Looks like our Miss Chapman is angry,” Justin said. ”Nadia Chapman, if you can’t calm her down today, don’t even think about leaving. I’ve been on the streets for a long time. I know all sorts of ways to torture people. If you can’t satisfy Miss Chapman today... a pretty thing like you won’t be able to handle my methods.” As he spoke, his large hand landed on her shoulder, his eyes flashing with a lecherous glint.

”Get your filthy hands off me!” Nadia instinctively recoiled, dodging his touch.

A vicious glint flashed in Justin’s eyes, but it vanished in an instant. ”Fine, I won’t touch you. But you’ll kneel before Miss Chapman right now and slap yourself ten times. Do that, and I’ll let you go. Otherwise, I’ll make you filthy from head to toe!”

Fiona Chapman was delighted. She lifted her chin smugly, watching Nadia’s conflicted expression. The swelling on her own face didn’t even seem to hurt as much anymore. ”Justin’s right. Kneel, apologize, and slap yourself a few times, and I’ll be merciful! Otherwise... there are plenty of guys here, and I bet they’ve never had a taste of a young female entrepreneur before! And what a coincidence, we have the perfect spot for it right here!”
