Fairy Tail: Collapsing Stars

Chapter 17 - S-Class Jobs

In a few hours…

Gildarts dropped the shovel in his hand and lay down among the ruins.

“I’m done, I’m too tired…”

Gildarts, who had been working continuously for several hours, began to choose to play badly.

“If it goes on like this, it won’t be repaired in a month…” Evan looked at the rotten Gildarts.

“So! Why don’t you just quit…” Gildarts thought for a moment and replied seriously.

“…”

Evan knew that what Gildarts said was true, not a single lie, and he really did not plan to continue repairing the back mountain of Fairy Tail.

“Evan… Let’s go to work! Instead of wasting time here, it’s better to use money directly and hire a professional team to repair it faster!”

As Gildarts spoke, he jumped up from the devastated ground behind him, looked at Evan and spoke seriously.

“It makes sense… Then Gildarts, do you have any promising jobs?”

Evan looked at Gildarts and asked.

“What…… If it goes well, as long as we complete this job, the money we earn will be enough to repair the entire Fairy Tail Back Mountain!”

Gildarts revealed a smile as he spoke.

“Job level…”

Evan’s eyes lit up, and then she asked.

“It’s definitely an S-Class job!” Gildarts raised his lips, looked at Evan and asked, “I mean, Evan, don’t you want to try an S-Class job?!”

“Certainly!”

Evan nodded slightly, and at the same time, the system in his mind completed an update.

[The system update is complete, a new job mode is added…]

[The host can accept any job in the guild. The system divides the jobs into 100 years, 10 years, SS-Class, S-Class, A-Class, B-Class, C-Class, D-Class, E-Class…]

[After completing the job, you will receive a job medal, which can be used to upgrade the host’s skills.]

[100-year-level job medals can upgrade the host’s skills of any level by one level, 10-year-level job medals can upgrade any skills of the host below level ten, and SS-Class jobs can improve any skills of the host below level nine by one level, and so on…]

[Note: Job medals can be synthesized, and ten low-level job medals can be synthesized into one high-level job medal…]

TL note: In Earth Land, there is an organized system that Guilds utilize to intermediate Jobs (Shigoto), which Mages and Mercenaries are able to partake in and receive reimbursement upon completion, most commonly by Jewels.

Evan looked at the job mode in his mind and thought about it. That is to say, if he wanted to upgrade his skills from level eight to level nine, he would need an SS-Class job medal, or complete ten S-Class jobs…

It’s a bit difficult, but not too difficult…

In fact, the rewards for S-Class jobs are also tens of millions. If converted into money, ten S-Class jobs are about 100 million, which is exactly the same as the funds needed for Evan to upgrade from level 8 to level 9. In other words, there is no profit or loss…

“Actually, with your current strength, you can become an S-rank mage! But that old man is too old-fashioned…” Gildarts looked at Evan and complained.

“It doesn’t matter, I am sure I win this year’s S-rank mage assessment!”

Evan is full of confidence in himself. He really can’t imagine that there is anyone in this year’s Fairy Tail Guild who has the strength to compete with him for S-Class mages.

“That’s right, later and earlier, there is actually not much difference!”

Gildarts nodded. He is very confident in Evan’s strength. This year, the list of S-Class mages allowed to participate in the assessment must have Evan’s name. With the current situation of the guild, Evan has become an S-Class mage. Mentors are already a given.

“Speaking of which, when are we going to leave?”

Because it was the first time for Evan to go on a job, he seemed a little eager to try.

“Now……”

Gildarts smiled mysteriously,

Then he said the words lightly.

The other side……

In the Fairy Tail guild…

“Really, once you start a fight, they don’t know the seriousness! Gildarts is also in his thirties, and he still acts like a child…”

While drinking the beer in his glass, Makarov complained about Gildarts and Evan.

“Hahaha, Guild Master, you’ll get a bargain and act like a good boy! In addition to Gildarts, our guild now has the super combat power of Evan! In terms of strength, we can already be called the real No. 1 Fiore Kingdom?!”

Macao knows Makarov too well. He knows that Makarov is just talking, but he is actually happy in his heart!

“Don’t make excuses for them! Strength is not an excuse to do whatever they want! However, hehe… At the next meeting of the guild masters, let them see who will question the strength of our Fairy Tail!”

Makarov reprimanded Macao first, and then straightened his back. He couldn’t wait now, and wanted to attend the annual meeting of guild Guild Masters, and then he would take good care of his group of old and bad friends. In front of him, show a wave of excellent new members of his guild.

“By the way, Macao! Don’t drink in the guild all the time. If you really have nothing to do, go get those two idiots back from the back mountain!”

Makarov seemed to have thought of something suddenly, and yelled at Macao who was drinking in the distance.

“Okay, okay…”

As Macao said, he stood up, as if he had expected it long ago.

Macao is well aware of their Guild Master’s personality, as long as the members of Fairy Tail don’t make principled mistakes, then Makarov won’t really get angry, at most he will only criticize a few words, and then complained…

Makarov is a typical sword-mouthed bean curd heart. It hasn’t been half a day, but helet Gildarts and Evan return to the guild…

Just as Macao was about to leave the guild and go to the back mountain to find Gildarts and Evan, the door of the guild was suddenly pushed open, and an ordinary-looking Fairy Tail member ran in, and ran all the way to Macao and Guild Master.

“What’s wrong?!”

Makarov wrapped his arms around his body, looked at the member in front of him and asked softly.

Makarov didn’t know why, but when he saw the members in front of him, he always felt a little terrified, as if something bad was about to happen…

“Guild Master, Guild Master… This is the letter that Gildarts asked me to forward to you… Just now, just now, I went to the back mountain, and then met Gildarts, he asked me to give you this letter, and I saw that he looked very anxious, I thought it might be a big deal, so I hurry up and deliver the letter!”

The member spoke out of breath, and handed a letter to Makarov.

“Hm?!”

Makarov frowned as he looked at the letter in front of him, and his inner premonition grew stronger.

To put it simply, every time Gildarts doesn’t show up, but chose to send a message to communicate with him, something must have happened!

“…”

“Bastard! Gildarts!!!”

After Makarov read all the letters in front of him, he let out an extremely angry roar!

In fact, Makarov’s premonition has always been very accurate, so won’t it come true immediately?!
