You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

61: Section 61Upon hearing this, Wang Mo smiled again and patted Zhang Fan’s shoulder.

”The potential of Double Eleven will far exceed your imagination.”

”This time, I’m afraid we’re going to make history.”

...

At the same time, after the Double Eleven event was officially launched, countless users who were glued to their phones immediately entered Pinduoduo, afraid that the discounted items they wanted to buy would be snatched up.

Although it was only nine in the morning, the first wave of users for the Double Eleven Shopping Festival had already poured in frantically.

In a female dormitory at a certain university in Haicheng, as soon as the clock struck nine, Lily instantly went into Pinduoduo, immediately clicked on her shopping cart, and prepared to pay.

Before this, she had already added her favorite items to her shopping cart in advance.

As soon as the time came, she could just pay directly.

”It’s too cheap, four sets of cosmetics for five hundred yuan.”

After a click of her tongue, Lily was about to pay.

But at this moment, she suddenly realized that she still had several full-reduction coupons that she hadn’t used.

And if these coupons weren’t used, they would expire tomorrow.

”If I buy another hundred yuan worth of stuff, I can get another thirty yuan off.”

”If I buy three hundred yuan, I can even get a hundred yuan off.”

Looking at the various numbers on the full-reduction coupons, Lily hesitated.

But her hesitation didn’t last long; she quickly made up her mind and added several more items to her shopping cart.

”If I don’t buy it now, I won’t have another chance; I don’t even know if this shopping festival will happen next year.”

After murmuring to herself, several more items were added.

And at this time, in this female dormitory, it wasn’t just her.

Almost every spot was filled with various sounds of calculation.

”One hundred plus thirty plus twenty is one hundred and fifty, and then you can get another twenty off.”

”Room leader, quickly give me the calculator; I can’t quite figure out the full-reduction in my shopping cart.”

”Don’t rush; I haven’t finished calculating yet.”

”Don’t you have a calculator on your phone too?”

”Oh right, I’ll calculate it myself then.”

Similar scenes were not only happening in this female dormitory.

Throughout Yan Country, almost the same situation was constantly occurring.

To meet the full-reduction requirements, the number of items in many users’ shopping carts grew larger and larger.

The huge discounts on various products during this shopping festival were simply too tempting for them.

Such a situation, where almost all types of products were heavily discounted, had never appeared in Yan Country before.

Although Taobao also frequently offered various discount events, they were basically targeted at a certain type of product, or even products from a specific manufacturer.

But Pinduoduo’s shopping festival, however, had almost all products on massive discounts.

And for this shopping festival, almost all of Douyin’s live streamers went to Pinduoduo to promote products on this day.

Of course, the products in these live streaming rooms also had incredibly huge discounts.

Xiao Yang’s brothers’ live stream even achieved a transaction volume of over three hundred million in half an hour.

This achievement directly broke their record for live stream sales on Douyin.

And as time continued to increase, this record was still rising!

At the same time, Pinduoduo also bought a weibo hot search for the start of the shopping festival.

This hot search, which was originally an advertisement, quickly rose to the third position on the weibo hot search because it attracted a large number of user clicks.

Douyin’s nearly half-month promotion for Double Eleven finally paid off at this time.

Many users who had been planning to buy certain products in recent months almost all postponed their shopping until the day of Double Eleven.

Wang Mo originally thought that the number of servers Pinduoduo needed would take a long time to catch up with Douyin, or even never catch up.

But on the very beginning of Double Eleven, Pinduoduo’s servers were already struggling.

Wang Mo allocated a large batch of Douyin’s servers to barely keep Pinduoduo running.

Not long after he transmigrated and was just about to create Douyin, he had already purchased a large number of servers through loans, and then added more servers before every event where the number of users surged.

So until now, neither Douyin nor Pinduoduo had ever crashed due to server issues.

And with the official arrival of the Double Eleven event, Pinduoduo’s transaction volume continued to increase frantically.

Time quickly came to five in the afternoon on the same day.

Zhang Fan excitedly pushed open the door to Wang Mo’s office.

”Boss, it’s crazy, it’s really crazy.”

”Who’s crazy?” Wang Mo asked, somewhat helplessly.

”I’m saying Pinduoduo’s transaction volume is crazy.”

”From nine in the morning until five in the afternoon, Pinduoduo’s transaction volume has already exceeded twenty billion!”

”We have already broken Taobao’s current average daily transaction volume!”

Listening to Zhang Fan’s words, Wang Mo clicked his tongue.

”This is just the beginning.”

”The real explosion of this Double Eleven Shopping Festival will happen tonight.”

After Wang Mo finished speaking, Zhang Fan was somewhat confused.

Before he could ask why, Wang Mo had already explained to him.

”Most working people haven’t gotten off work yet, and students haven’t finished school yet.”

”Nine in the morning is just the time for them to start work and school, so they don’t have time to shop.”

”When it’s evening, when these people have time, the true power of the Double Eleven Shopping Festival will really be able to show itself.”

”These people are the main consumer group for Double Eleven.”

After listening to Wang Mo, Zhang Fan’s expression became even more excited.

”It will only explode tonight.”

Zhang Fan swallowed.

”Could it be that the transaction volume of this shopping festival could reach fifty billion?”

”But that’s too exaggerated, isn’t it?”

After stating his number, Zhang Fan himself could hardly believe it.

A shopping application launched only four or five months ago being able to achieve such a transaction volume would probably be unbelievable if spoken aloud.

It took Taobao almost ten years to exceed ten billion in daily transaction volume back then.

And after Zhang Fan finished speaking, Wang Mo also helplessly shook his head.
