Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 98: Chapter 98: Spider Prophet

”Favide, aim your Explosive Fireball at the Spider Web Monsters, everyone else, attack freely!”

”Wolf Cavalry, hold the front and throw your javelins, we’ll make a stand here at the entrance of the passage.”

Zong Shen was preparing to fish in troubled waters; rushing in blindly at this moment was not wise.

The smart move was to use long-range attacks to deplete and kill off the enemy’s living forces.

Both sides had noticed Zong Shen and his group’s arrival, but the goblin side no longer had the strength to divide their forces, and even retreating had become a luxury.

They were drawn by the thick smoke, coming to investigate this mine, from the entrance to the mine shaft everything was smooth, but ended up encountering the freshly extinguished fire and the Spider Web Monster army in the mine hall.

The fierce battle dragged on for almost an hour, ultimately to no avail.

Instead, it sparked their last courage and inner ferocity, each goblin fighting with bloodshot eyes.

Frantically launching a final counterattack at the Spider Web Monsters.

The javelins from the Wolf Cavalry fell like rain, wave after wave.

Madeleine’s sharp arrows were particularly formidable, each arrow precisely hit the enemy’s vital points.

Aisha and Tasuya each took a side and launched their magical assaults.

A Holy Light Arrow emitting a pure white glow and two pitch-black Necromancy Arrows shot out simultaneously, striking the chests of two Goblin Shaman Mages.

Directly taking out the two injured Goblin Shaman Mages.

The goblin side could no longer hold on.

Most of the remaining blood-drained monsters were quickly finished off by Zong Shen’s group.

It’s a joke, monsters killing each other wouldn’t drop anything, only leaving corpses, which is a waste!

Only monsters killed by the Lord and his subordinates would drop items, and besides, there were experience points to be gained.

At this time, Favide’s Explosive Fireball Magic was also fully chanted.

A giant fireball, the size of a washbasin, soared out, exploding among the cluster of Spider Web Monsters at the crowded right side exit of the passage.

A large swath of damage values erupted.

In this situation, fire element magic was simply a butcher’s knife, crazily harvesting.

In the air, an acrid, burnt smell began to spread.

A series of kill notifications started popping up.

[Your subordinate Wolf Cavalry has killed a Little Spider Web Monster lv10, you will receive half of the experience points]

[Your subordinate Aisha has killed a Goblin Shaman Mage lv20, you will receive half of the experience points]

[Your subordinate Tasuya has killed a Goblin Shaman Mage lv20, you will receive half of the experience points]

...

[Acquired experience points (170×½)=85]

[Acquired experience points (1860×½)=930]

[Acquired experience points (130×½)=65]

...

The slaughter continued.

Aisha, Mapple, Favide, and a few newly joined Wolf Cavalry, surprisingly leveled up one after another.

In such a chaotic situation, the goblins met their complete demise quickly.

The remaining Spider Web Monsters in the hall were almost all in a blood-drained state, the recent explosion left them with nowhere to hide.

They crowded together, making the right-side exit completely clogged.

Zong Shen quickly entered the hall, collecting all the spoils into his storage grid.

The two goblin squads were already completely wiped out, and the Spider Web Monsters’ target shifted to Zong Shen and his group.

”Retreat, fight while retreating.”

Zong Shen instructed as he began to quickly retreat.

The mine shaft entrance, which was over ten meters wide, was much more suitable for this kind of skirmish than the several hundred-square-meter mine hall, at least it wouldn’t allow the Spider Web Monsters to form a numerical advantage.

Besides, with a retreat route and no encirclement ahead, as long as no one blocked his rear door, everything could proceed calmly.

Zong Shen’s group had barely retreated two steps.

A violent explosion sound came from the mine shaft behind them.

Intense flames suddenly illuminated the mine shaft.

Scorching air currents swept through the mine shaft in an instant, shaking the entire mine shaft.

Zong Shen looked back, the explosion came from the Black Iron Treasure Chest he had previously set up...

Whoever it was that had such terrible luck to open it.

points of fixed damage, unless they wore heavy armor and chose to increase life value in attributes and skills, they would be instantly killed on the spot.

This chest was theoretically ownerless, whoever opened it fell victim to misfortune, it didn’t count as an attack by Zong Shen, the opponent probably didn’t even know how they died.

Speaking of which, Zong Shen seemed to have discovered a pattern, whenever two treasure chests appeared at the same time, one was often a booby-trapped malicious treasure chest.

Now, Zong Shen’s group couldn’t worry about what was behind them, they focused entirely on the passageway, beginning a head-to-head skirmish.

Six Wolf Cavalry and the Blood-toothed Wild Boar Eight Immortals lined up in a row, completely blocking the passage.

A few Mages and Rangers slowly retreated, standing at higher ground on the mine shaft slope, comfortably launching their attacks.

The front line was filled solely with Spider Web Monster Warriors.

Facing the fortress formed by the Wolf Cavalry and Eight Immortals, they immediately turned around, abdomens outward, using their Weaving Skill.

Cloudy white webs, like colorful ribbons from a gas cylinder, continuously spurted out sticky webs, covering the front line.

Although Spider Web Monsters were being shot and killed by magic or sharp arrows, it was to no avail.

Even Eight Immortals got wrapped in a layer of webs, struggling constantly, trying to break free of the webs.

Damage values rose continuously, with the webs having a durability value of 1000, they couldn’t be easily broken free from.

However, since they were enveloped by the webs, those Spider Web Monsters couldn’t attack them, the attacks that landed equaled helping them break free of the webs, reducing the web’s durability value.

At this moment, the rear of the Spider Web Monsters also started to stir, whether it was a Little Spider Web Monster or a Spider Web Monster Warrior, they instinctively moved toward the walls on either side of the mine, creating a passage in the middle.

A Spider Web Monster of larger stature slowly stepped forward.

It fixed its eight ghostly green compound eyes firmly on Zong Shen and his group.

Each compound eye flickered with hatred and malice.

Likewise, Zong Shen narrowed his eyes slightly, observing its attributes.
