Chapter 55: Chapter 55: Bear Monsters Are Not to Be Trifled With

This forest may not be big.

But every tree is robust.

The dense canopies interlace, blocking out the sunlight.

The forest appears shadowy and somewhat dark.

According to the strategy, the Silver Treasure Chest here is guarded by Bear Monsters.

Although Zong Shen doesn’t know what Bear Monsters are.

But being able to guard the Silver Treasure Chest,

The combat strength of these Bear Monsters must be strong.

Therefore, Zong Shen has brought the strongest lineup of his fighting group this time.

So far, the only Silver Treasure Chest he encountered turned out to be a trap.

Thus, he has a special expectation for Silver Treasure Chests.

Speaking of which, he suddenly recalled the Poison Gas Treasure Chest he put away, which might still have other major uses.

For instance, he could quietly place the chest around the enemy.

Activate it while holding his breath, then make his great escape, and finally return to reap the benefits.

Zong Shen touched his chin.

Suddenly thought of the clever use of the Poison Gas Treasure Chest.

He looked up, ending his thoughts, and gazed at the forest in front of him.

Due to the blockage from the large trees, the soil in the forest is significantly more moist than the dirt on the grassland.

Moreover, there are no trails in the forest, not even any open spaces.

If one were to blindly enter and fight inside, it would likely prove difficult.

Especially since the enemy is in the dark while he’s in the light; Zong Shen has yet to see any trace of the Bear Monsters or the treasure chest.

Zong Shen’s principle is to avoid a tough battle if he can win easily.

He cautiously took a few steps back and spoke to Fire Mage Favide.

”Favide, target the center of this forest and begin casting the ’Fire Rain’ magic!”

Since there’s a problem with this forest, burning it down is the best way to solve the issue.

As long as there’s something fishy in the forest, there’ll certainly be a reaction.

”Yes, Lord!”

”However, this area is an open grassland. If the fire gets out of control, it could burn down the entire grassland and even affect our territory.”

Favide said worriedly.

As a Fire Mage, he is very clear about the power of flames and thus holds great respect for them.

Zong Shen clearly had thought about this issue.

Currently, there is no wind around, and the forest is relatively isolated.

The growth of so many trees has already extracted the nutrients from the surrounding grassland soil.

The soil in the forest is wet and fertile.

However, due to soil erosion around the forest, a natural barrier with no grass has appeared.

The most crucial point is that if there really are Bear Monsters guarding the forest,

Then these Bear Monsters definitely won’t stand idly by.

The initiative is always in his hands.

After considering the above points, Zong Shen decided to use the fire attack strategy.

He waved his hand, pointed his finger at the forest, and gestured.

Favide could only lift up his Magic Staff and start chanting!

This is a range magic that consumes 100 points of Mana.

Ten seconds later.

A peculiar Magic Array appeared ten meters above Favide’s head.

In the next moment, this Magic Array began to crazily pour fist-sized Fireballs toward the center of the forest dozens of meters away.

Each wave consisted of dozens of Fireballs,

Just like a rain of fire falling down, ”crackle” onto the forest.

Under the impact of Fireballs, trees began to burn and sway.

Many Fireballs penetrated the gaps between the canopies and landed on the ground.

Igniting a large number of trees.

Wave after wave of Fire Rain, the fire spread quickly.

The central area of the forest started to spew out towering smoke pillars.

Finally, after the fifth wave of Fire Rain fell down,

Several fierce roars echoed from within the forest.

”Boom!”

A huge burning stump flew out from the forest, accurately targeting Favide.

”Retreat!”

Zong Shen raised an eyebrow and quickly retreated.

Favide also hastily stopped his casting.

Together with everyone else, he quickly retreated thirty meters away.

”Boom!”

Following a loud bang, the stump fell, crashing onto the spot.

Creating a big pit in the soft ground.

Sparks and dust scattered everywhere.

The forest was also restless.

Several enormous dark shadows were rampaging out.

Pushing over the sturdy trees along the way, causing them to topple east or west.

Three Bear Monsters standing five meters tall with green spine armor on their backs appeared before everyone.

These three Bear Monsters seemed like three small mountains, extremely oppressive.

They have thick fur.

A layer of green moss grows on the fur.

Giving them an ancient appearance.

Their massive solid claws are large like fans.

Zong Shen had no doubt that if slapped, his skull could be directly knocked off.

The three Bear Monsters stood side by side like a barrier.

At this point, another figure, about two meters tall, more ”petite”, slowly walked out.

It’s also a Bear Monster.

But compared to the previous three, this one’s figure is more petite.

It wears a peculiar bear bone helmet decorated with oil paint and unknown bird feathers.

It has a white fur coat draped over it, holding a small Totem in its hand.

Neither side made any reckless moves.

Zong Shen squinted his eyes and began checking the attributes of these Bear Monsters.

(These four big guys are extremely difficult to deal with. If you are uncertain, you can lure them away one by one as their mission is to guard a Natural Altar in the small forest, so they won’t all leave.)

”What the heck, these four green Bear Monsters, each is comparable to Sewn Monster Pato!”

”These Bear Monsters are hard to deal with!”

Zong Shen exclaimed in his heart, suddenly feeling a troublesome situation.

However, seeing these four Bear Monsters don’t seem to have a strong intent to attack.

Referencing the strategy hints, Zong Shen already had a plan!
