Celestial Night Emperor

Chapter 237: Chapter 237: Coming Knocking

The two sons of the Sun Family feared nothing and no one, with friends on both sides of the law.

In Jin City, they were confident in their influence and were itching to make a move.

But Sun Haodong was worried about trouble!

The family business was a complete mess. If that damn girl’s brother latched on, he would be an endless headache.

”By the way, how badly was that damn girl hurt? I don’t remember it being too serious, was it?”

His daughter, Sun Fangfang, curled her lip. ”My brother beat her a couple of times. It’s a lie to say it wasn’t serious. Didn’t she break a bone that one time? We even spent a lot of money to get her treated.”

”Xia Xueqing was asking for that broken bone. She was doing the laundry and didn’t even empty the pockets. My brand-new phone was ruined.” The eldest brother, Sun Ying, spat. ”She wasted over ten thousand yuan of my money. It’d be a wonder if I *didn’t* hit her!”

”All of you, shut up!” Sun Haodong’s wife flared up. ”Still talking about this? What if someone overhears? Let me tell you, that damn girl’s most serious injury is the burn on her neck, and it still hasn’t healed! If they actually get it examined and it’s ruled a serious injury, we’ll be in deep trouble!”

Sun Haodong clutched his head, growing even more agitated.

In the eyes of the Sun Family, Ah Xue wasn’t even considered an adopted daughter. She was just a burden!

In the past, they had mostly ignored Ah Xue. On the surface, they were still relatively civil and had never laid a hand on her.

But when the old man decided to leave the best villa to Ah Xue, Sun Haodong’s side of the family became absolutely furious!

They started to suspect that this Xia Xueqing had ulterior motives.

’We, the Sun Family, gave you food and shelter, we raised you, and now you’re trying to steal the family fortune?’

’The old man and woman were getting on in years and had grown senile. They were completely deceived by this Ah Xue.’

It wasn’t just the villa and the assets; the old couple even wanted to give half of the family business to Xia Xueqing.

The members of the Sun Family were livid. They gritted their teeth and waited for the old couple to kick the bucket. The moment they did, they threw Ah Xue out of her original room and basically tossed her out with the trash.

Sun Haodong was still angry just thinking about it. ”Back then, the old man and woman actually wanted to hand over our Sun Family’s assets for that damn girl to manage! If they hadn’t died so quickly, our whole family would have been left with nothing! I’m not picking on Xia Xueqing; I just needed her to understand her place!”

His wife slapped him. ”Stop spouting nonsense! Hurry up and find out which hospital that damn girl is in!”

Sun Haodong scratched his head. ”The burn on that damn girl’s neck... how did that happen again? I’ve completely forgotten.”

His wife snapped, ”Wasn’t it because you invited that Liu Daoban over to the villa for dinner? He got drunk, and that damn girl was clumsy when she was pouring his drink. She pissed off Liu Daoban, and didn’t he just splash a cup of boiling water right on her neck?”

That’s right, that’s how it happened.

An idea sparked in Sun Haodong’s mind. ”Where are we supposed to look for her? I’ll just mention this to Liu Daoban. With that vicious temper of his, he’ll definitely handle this for us.”

He took out his phone and made the call with a smirk.

”Brother Liu? It’s Sun Haodong.”

Liu Daoban was in the middle of drinking and sounded impatient. ”Shit, what is it? I’m drinking with a few buddies from the Police Department right now. Don’t bother me if it’s not important.”

Sun Haodong quickly explained the situation with Ah Xue.

Liu Daoban let out a scoff. ”Xia Xueqing... Yeah, I’m the one who burned her. I was just drunk, wasn’t I? I even gave her two thousand yuan for medical expenses afterward. What now, her brother’s come looking for trouble? Fuck, does he have any idea who Liu Daoban is?”

Sun Haodong gave a fawning laugh. ”He’s probably just some country bumpkin who brought a few thugs with him. How could he possibly know who you are, Brother Liu? Your uncle is a deputy chief, and your whole family are bigwigs in the Police Department...”

”Heh, good. I’ve been bored out of my mind lately anyway. I’ll handle this for you. Goddammit, can’t even have a peaceful drink!”

On the other end, Liu Daoban immediately brought the matter up at the dinner table.

The Liu Family were all influential figures, absolute tyrants in Jin City.

His cronies around him were all influential people as well, and they couldn’t care less about Ah Xue’s situation.

”Brother Liu, we’ll take care of this for you! Let’s finish this drink, and we’ll head out right away!”

A few phone calls were made, and they quickly located Central Hospital.

”The registered name is Xia Xueqing, she has a burn... that’s her. Her brother’s name is Qin Tianxuan; he just got in from out of town.”

Liu Daoban smashed his glass down with a CRASH. ”Alright boys, let’s go. Time to take care of business!”

A stylish, modified SUV pulled up. They had all been drinking, but they got in without a care.

Liu Daoban, his face flushed from the alcohol, drove the car. ”Make a few calls and tell them not to stop me. I’m driving drunk!”

Everyone in the car roared with laughter. ”Who in Jin City would dare stop your car, Brother Liu? Don’t be ridiculous.”

Just like that, they sped to Central Hospital. Reeking of alcohol, the group went straight to the hospital management and viciously demanded to know where Xia Xueqing was.

The hospital management was terrified. Meanwhile, the men Qin Tianxuan had stationed at Central Hospital immediately noticed the commotion.

”Sir, there’s a group of people mobbing the hospital, looking for Miss Ah Xue!”

”Mm, got it. I’m on my way.”

Qin Tianxuan, who had been having dinner with Chen Haobei and the others, arrived at Central Hospital at that moment.

Outside the main entrance, they saw the brazen SUV, just as Liu Daoban and his men were about to storm the patient’s room.

Qin Tianxuan wiped his hands and pointed coldly. ”Smash that car.”

With a tremendous BOOM, Liu Daoban’s beloved SUV was instantly reduced to scrap.

Liu Daoban, who hadn’t even reached the hospital room yet, got the news and flew into a rage. ”Motherfucker! Fuck! They dared to smash my car?! Get more men! Get everyone you can! Block this whole street! I’m going to fucking kill that Qin Tianxuan!”
