I'm an Unknown Actress, But Everyone Knows Me

“Hello everyone, did you enjoy our movie?”

The very first person to receive the microphone was Jeon Ujeong, and the moment she greeted the audience, shrill screams exploded everywhere.

“YEEESSS!!!”

“Joy! Joy!”

“It was fun!”

Jeon Ujeong smiled at the children practically screaming themselves hoarse from excitement.

“I’m glad you all had fun. But children, don’t go signing contracts just anywhere like Joy did, okay?”

The professional voice actor Lee Yongcheol greeted the audience in tiger Richard’s voice, and this time the adults screamed even louder.

“Aaaah! Richard!”

“Lee Yongcheol... ah....”

Voice-acting nerds.

They covered their mouths with one hand, overcome with emotion.

Then it was finally our Lala’s turn.

Han Yeoreum dropped a bomb immediately.

“Unniii!”

It was Lala’s most iconic line.

The instant she said that one word, groans erupted all around the theater.

“Aaaah....”

“What is this....”

“She’s cute! She’s cute!”

For reference, the last shout came from actual little children.

At some point, the equation “Han Yeoreum = Lala = squirrel = little sister” had apparently been permanently burned into everyone’s brains.

“Then let’s take a little time to greet the audience.”

The moment those words were spoken, Aetami immediately raised the flying squirrel blanket she was holding high into the air.

The instant Yeoreum entered, she recognized Aetami first and walked right over to her.

“Unni! Did you enjoy it?”

“Of course.... It was seriously... so good....”

“Can I keep this? Or should I leave it behind?”

“Of course you should keep it....”

Even while wrapping the blanket around herself, Han Yeoreum kept chatting.

Wearing the squirrel blanket like a cape and the flying squirrel hat on top of her head, she took selfies with Aetami.

“Lala! Lala!”

“Me too! Lala!”

The children nearby were all desperate to take pictures with Han Yeoreum.

After squeezing Aetami’s hand once, Han Yeoreum quickly headed toward the kids.

“Lala! Please call me Unni just once too!”

“This kid....”

“Unniii—.”

“SO CUTE!”

At some point, Han Yeoreum had become mentally classified as under five years old in the minds of children.

‘That just means her synchronization with the character is insanely good....’

Aetami felt emotional all over again.

The popularity of flying squirrel Lala was unbelievable.

“Then please spread lots of word-of-mouth support for our !”

After a short stage greeting session, the voice actors quickly exited the theater.

‘I’m heading to the next one immediately too!’

Aetami had to move to the next theater herself.

Right now was the ending-stage greeting, and next came the preview-stage greeting, so there wasn’t much time.

“...”

And then Aetami saw him.

A familiar face.

Someone leaving the theater with absolutely terrifying momentum.

‘Wasn’t Lee Yongcheol supposed to go to that side...?’

IP 85.152 headed toward the next screening room according to their personal philosophy that true cultural appreciation required slowly savoring a work instead of carelessly consuming it once.

‘The first time I focused mainly on the music, so this time I’ll focus on the visuals....’

The music had been incredible.

Even though the story could easily have triggered the unique irritation associated with eldest-daughter narratives, there was obvious effort put into layering endless adorable sound effects over the flying squirrels.

Noah truly was a genius.

He mastered every genre as though it belonged to him naturally.

Hollywood’s legendary prodigies really were built differently.

Reggae, Latin, classical, rock, hip-hop.

Even though every genre had been mixed together, none of it felt chaotic.

The music was so good that the movie flew by before anyone even realized it.

“We’ll begin entry now—.”

The moment IP 85.152 sat down, the voice actors entered.

Thanks to Han Yeoreum still wearing the flying squirrel blanket, screams erupted around the theater again.

While the other voice actors greeted the audience, Han Yeoreum noticed a sketchbook placed in the front row and reacted immediately.

‘Ana...dyo? Ana...dyo? Ah, “Hug me”...!’

Reading the message written by a familiar-looking woman in the sketchbook, Han Yeoreum spread °• N 𝑜 v 𝑒 l i g h t •° both arms wide.

She was Lala herself.

Until her own turn came, she worked tirelessly at fanservice.

“Then we’ll take a short moment for greetings.”

The instant those words ended, tiger Richard marched straight toward IP 85.152.

“Oh wow! You really enjoyed our movie, huh? I saw you earlier too!”

He enthusiastically shook hands.

Then immediately told them to hurry and take out their phone.

“Let’s take a selfie quickly! Thank you so much!”

Meanwhile Han Yeoreum had... gone to the opposite side... giving autographs and selfies... ana...dyo....

“I’ll hold it for you! Taking it now!”

Click—!

Han Yeoreum poking cheeks... and Lee... Lee Yongcheol... constantly entering the frame...!

“We’ll be exiting now! Enjoy the movie!”

The theater lights dimmed, and Sweet Town’s cheerful theme song began to play.

‘....’

A true connoisseur of culture and art probably needed to watch what would become the biggest animated hit of the first half of the year several more times and then deliver a properly thoughtful review worthy of it.

Thinking about it now, focusing only on the music and visuals wasn’t enough.

Korea’s voice acting industry was an internationally recognized field of “cultural industry” after all.

The performances of the voice actors themselves deserved serious interpretation too, and also...

“UnniUnniUnni. What should we play today?”

Anyway.

That was how it was.

The first day of ’s release.

The reactions were explosive.

[DramaMovieActor TALK / Funny Bunny Harmony Dub Review LOLOLOL Added crappy stage-greeting photos taken with my feet]

There was a lot of controversy about the Funny Bunny Harmony casting LOOL but when I watched the Intube clips it didn’t seem like the celebrity roles had huge screentime, so I just went to see the dubbed version. Honestly I mainly wanted to hear Lee Yongcheol’s voice T_T

To get straight to the point, it was REALLY good! The dubbing fit every character perfectly, to the point subtitles probably would’ve felt bland?

And Han Yeoreum, who got the most negative comments beforehand... LMAO

Line she says most often: “Unni”

Longest line she says: that “Let’s go ride the snail yo-yo” line from the trailer

Other lines:

“Dummy! That’s my sister’s voice!”

“Do you think that’s expensive?”

“Let’s play~”

There was literally nothing annoying about it at all. She barely even had many lines, and since she was basically just a little sister obsessed with her Unni the whole time, she was just cute.

Honestly if actual little kids at the stage greeting were casually speaking informally to Han Yeoreum and calling her “Lala cutie,” you can imagine how synchronized she was with the role.

Anyway Lee Yongcheol was seriously amazing... and Jeon Ujeong can REALLY sing  I’m definitely going to watch it again!

No but HOW good was she for actual toddlers to drop formal speech with her LMAO this is killing me

—Anonymous 2:

I watched subtitles today but now I’m debating whether to go for a second viewing

—Anonymous 4:

Do it. I’m going again just to hear the songs T_T

—Anonymous 8:

I’m watching it this weekend and now I’m insanely excited hehe thanks for the detailed review!

Not only were audience reviews pouring in, but the photocall lineup was impressive too.

[Myeong Jeha’s smiling eyes at the photocall event suspicious enough to make people ask, “Is this CGI made by Disney?”]

[Seo Eden poses like a flying squirrel, “Please watch me too”]

All kinds of media outlets filmed short-form videos tailored for the age of giant algorithms, but the biggest hit this time was Han Yeoreum’s “Ana-dyo” from the daytime stage greeting.

“Hey! Of course I can give you a hug! Ah? You mean I’m the one saying it?”

“...That one?”

“Hahaha. Hug meee—.”

Everyone turned toward the camera and did “Hug me.”

As if proving that the public’s biggest takeaway from was Han Yeoreum herself.

Watching the photocall event, Aetami covered her mouth with one hand.

‘Please... please let this hit the algorithm....’

And that wish soon became reality.

The age of giant algorithms.

Han Yeoreum’s “Ana-dyo” began spreading everywhere.

“Haaah....”

Inside JC ENM’s marketing team office, Department Head Ma—who practically lived at the company—admired the merchandise set placed atop his desk.

“Damn....”

Joy, Lulu, Lala, Kiki, and Pipi were all printed across the popcorn bucket and drink cup.

These were carefully designed GCV goods.

“So sweet....”

JC ENM never let go of an IP that looked capable of becoming a hit.

“I smell money....”

From Wednesday to Friday, surpassed 700,000 viewers in only three days.

An unprecedented performance.

Reservation rates exploded upward.

Naturally, popcorn set sales surged too.

Up to here everyone was like “ah okay haha they prepared well hehe”

(Younger sibling registration card.jpg)

(Older sibling registration card.jpg)

But then they released THESE as photo tickets LOLOLOL this is basically blackmail telling every pair of sisters nationwide to spend money

And apparently they even separately sell official registration cards too^^

—Holy shit I need to buy the registration card for my little servant haha

—Hey little sisters have human rights too.. why are you calling them servants T_T

—Human? Rights? They’re just portable water-boilers

—LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO holy shit “portable water-boiler” is INSANE

—Little sisters are basically just walking ramen cookers

—Who even came up with the sibling registration cards LMAO

—(Han Yeoreum photo.jpg)

Wait is THAT official merch? T_T The color is slightly different... somehow the one Han Yeoreum’s wearing is cuter

—That one was a separate fan gift! Different item!

The support from children buying the goods was especially overwhelming.

No joke, if there were a nationwide “children’s president” vote right now, Han Yeoreum looked fully capable of taking first place.

The live event exploded.

Then the “Ana-dyo” stage greeting became a meme.

And next came the following event.

“Finally tomorrow....”

Just thinking about the next live event made Department Head Ma’s lips curl upward vertically.

Already now, influencers were posting “Ana-dyo” photos with the lap blanket merchandise all over their feeds.

After tomorrow’s stage, he was certain everyone would end up buying the “Han Yeoreum lap blanket.”

And on top of that—

[Noah Williams]

An unbelievable message had arrived.

Something capable of surpassing even the current hype and outright giving Han Yeoreum the title:

“The actress chosen by Disney.”

The legendary Hollywood music master Noah Williams had expressed interest in becoming the music director for Han Yeoreum’s next project.

had gained an unprecedented luxury staff lineup.

Han Yeoreum herself had brought them in.

“Our little cutie’s getting stronger and stronger—.”

That was how Han Yeoreum slowly began stepping deeper into the film industry.
