Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Li Mingxi widened her eyes and retorted, “Did I ever say that?”

“You did! What you meant just now was that you agreed to marry me!” Xiao Lang looked particularly excited.

Li Mingxi laughed, “I only said, if you can’t even handle such a small thing, you definitely aren’t qualified to marry me. That’s what I meant, don’t deliberately misinterpret me!”

Xiao Lang was frustrated, pulling her close and holding her.

“I can hear what you mean; you’re agreeing to marry me.”

“No.” Li Mingxi still denied it.

“You are!”

“I said no, so it’s no!”

Xiao Lang was convinced she had agreed, and no matter what she said now, he wasn’t going to change his mind.

“I say it is, so it is. I only trust my instincts!”

Li Mingxi rolled her eyes helplessly, “Xiao Lang, how did I find you to be such a rascal?”

Xiao Lang gave her a quick kiss on the lips and said smugly, “I’m a rascal, you’re a villain, a rascal and a villain, a perfect match!”

Li Mingxi retorted, “In what way am I a villain!”

“You’re always such a villain, you like me but refuse to marry me, deliberately tormenting me. If that’s not being a villain, what is? Don’t argue, I’m speaking the truth.”

What else could Li Mingxi say? Neither admitting nor denying seemed right.

See, he guessed it right.

Xiao Lang was in a great mood, wrapping an arm around her shoulder, pulling her away.

“Come on, I’ll take you somewhere!”

“Taking me somewhere again? I’m not going!” Li Mingxi shook her head.

“Come on, there’s nothing else to do anyway.”

Even if Li Mingxi didn’t want to go, Xiao Lang wasn’t allowing it. He hailed a cab, tucked her inside, and squeezed himself in, shutting the door.

Sitting in the car, Li Mingxi remembered to ask him, “Why were you on the bus? Or did you follow me onto it?”

“I followed you onto it.”

Li Mingxi looked puzzled, “How did you know where I was?”

Xiao Lang smiled, “After you came out of the cinema, I followed you. I wasn’t stalking you, but when we were on the phone, I could hear someone selling snacks near you, so I knew where you were. Later, when I called again, I heard a movie playing, so I guessed you were at a nearby cinema.”

So that’s how it was. I have to say, this man’s observation skills are strong.

Li Mingxi asked again, “So where are you taking me now?”

“It’s a secret!” Xiao Lang feigned mystery.

Fine, she wasn’t that curious to know anyway.

…

The taxi stopped on the street Xiao Lang had mentioned.

Xiao Lang pulled Li Mingxi out of the car, leading her into a jewelry flagship store.

Li Mingxi immediately understood his purpose.

“Mr. Xiao, welcome!” a store clerk approached, warmly greeting them.

“Are the items I requested ready?” Xiao Lang asked.

“They’ve been prepared according to your specifications. Please, both of you, come this way to our VIP area to sit and rest for a while.”

Xiao Lang and Li Mingxi went to the VIP area to sit and rest, and when the clerk asked what they’d like to drink, they both only asked for pure water.

After the water was served, the clerk retrieved a jewelry box.

She sat across from them, opened the box, revealing two exquisite diamond rings.

The rings were circular bands, wider than typical rings. They were inlaid with small intricate diamonds rather than one large gem like other diamond rings.
