Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Xiao Lang’s fish was ready soon, and there were other chefs at the farm stay who made a few more dishes for them.

The three of them sat around the table, looking at the spread of dishes, feeling very hungry, and Li Mingxi was no exception.

Xiao Lang personally served them some red-cooked fish, ”Try and see how it tastes.”

Xinxin took a bite and nodded repeatedly, ”Delicious! Daddy, I will always remember this taste.”

Xiao Lang asked her emotionally, ”Xinxin, why don’t you stay with Daddy?”

Xinxin looked at him and shook her head, ”No, thank you, Daddy.”

”Why don’t you stay with Daddy?”

Xinxin said sadly, ”Mom said she would come to pick me up. I want to wait for Mom at the orphanage, I won’t go anywhere.”

Li Mingxi was slightly surprised, ”You have a mom?”

”Yes, when I was little, mom sent me to the orphanage. But she said she would definitely come back.”

”What’s your mom’s name?”

Xinxin shook her head, she was too young back then, and could only remember mom saying she would come back for her, other details were forgotten.

Xiao Lang thought they could help her find her mom, but words like these shouldn’t be said to a child, to avoid disappointment if things don’t work out.

”Hurry up and eat.” He urged them.

This meal, they ate sweetly and delightfully, Li Mingxi ate a little more too.

After the meal, it was still raining heavily outside, and it was getting worse.

The sky was flashing and thundering, very terrifying.

In this weather, Xiao Lang couldn’t drive, mainly because there was a section of mountain road, driving on it now would be very dangerous.

In thunderstorm weather, they couldn’t watch TV or sing karaoke.

The owner gave them a standard room, and also handed them a deck of cards.

So, the three sat on the bed playing cards, with punishment for the loser.

Like this, they played for three hours, but the heavy rain hadn’t stopped, and the sky had already darkened.

Xinxin was exhausted from playing during the day and fell asleep on the bed.

Xiao Lang whispered, ”Why don’t we stay here tonight?”

Li Mingxi nodded, ”That’s all we can do.”

”I’ll go get another room,” Xiao Lang stood up and went out, Li Mingxi stayed to look after Xinxin.

Before long, Xiao Lang returned.

He hesitated and said, ”The owner said there are no rooms left.”

Li Mingxi was slightly surprised, ”Weren’t there some this afternoon?”

”Many people were sightseeing nearby and hid here because of the rain. Now, all the rooms are occupied. I went downstairs to check, and there are many without a room, the owner even rented out the private boxes, some even plan to sit in the lobby overnight.”

Li Mingxi wasn’t sure whether to be upset they hadn’t reserved two rooms earlier or grateful they had at least secured one.

Their room had two beds, she couldn’t possibly send Xiao Lang to sit in the lobby overnight.

”You can sleep here tonight too. Xinxin and I will share one bed.”

Xiao Lang nodded with a smile, ”Okay. I’ll go downstairs and buy some toiletries.”

”Okay.”

Xiao Lang went downstairs, while Li Mingxi headed to the bathroom, planning to use the toilet.

But found that the bathroom door lock was broken and wouldn’t close.

Li Mingxi found it so frustrating.

Luckily, Xiao Lang wasn’t there. She quickly finished using the toilet, and had just walked out when Xiao Lang came back.

”I bought soap, towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo. Do you want to shower first?” Xiao Lang asked her.

Li Mingxi shook her head, ”I won’t shower, I’ll just freshen up!”

The bathroom door wouldn’t close, how would you shower?
