Fated to My Billionaire Husband

When Grandma Li and the others asked her how the blind date went, she said it was okay and that they would try getting along for a few days, which made Grandma Li and the others very happy.

Li Qian’s parents were equally delighted.

So, both Mrs. Li kept arranging dates for them, making sure they had lunch and dinner together every day.

The place where Li Qian worked wasn’t far from the hospital where Li Mingxi worked.

The two Mrs. Li would book tables at a restaurant near Li Mingxi’s hospital every day, and all the two needed to do was just go and eat there.

Both Li Mingxi and Li Qian didn’t refuse this arrangement.

After two meals together, Li Mingxi and Li Qian’s relationship was getting better and better.

They talked casually over meals like friends.

”When are you going to tell me why you don’t want to get married?” Li Mingxi asked, taking a sip of her juice.

Li Qian put down his chopsticks and smiled, ”When I’m sure you really don’t want to get married, I’ll tell you.”

”You suspect I’m lying?” Li Mingxi raised an eyebrow.

Li Qian chuckled, ”It’s not that I doubt you; I’m just afraid that my charm is too strong. What if you really want to marry me?”

Li Mingxi was stunned. This was the first man who could be so confident in front of her.

Li Mingxi curved her lips, ”You know? Almost every man I’ve been with ends up falling in love with me and wanting to marry me. This is the first time I’ve heard a man say he’s afraid I might want to marry him.”

”So do you believe I really don’t want to marry you?” Li Qian asked with a smile.

”Not necessarily. What if you’re just playing hard to get?”

Li Qian suddenly became serious, ”Miss Li, honestly, I do hope you marry me. But after marriage, I wouldn’t interfere with your private life, and we’d still be independent and free. I’d provide you with a regular allowance, but I wouldn’t treat you as my wife. With that said, would you agree to marry me?”

Li Mingxi looked at him in surprise.

She didn’t expect he would have such an idea.

”Do you have someone you like?” Li Mingxi asked.

A complex look flashed in Li Qian’s eyes.

”No.”

”I don’t believe you.”

”I’ll take you somewhere shortly, and then you’ll know why.”

After lunch, they both skipped work.

Li Qian drove Li Mingxi to a villa in the suburbs.

He got out first and then opened the car door for her, ”Get out, we’re here.”

”Why did you bring me here?” Li Mingxi got out of the car, puzzled.

”You’ll find out once we go inside.”

Li Qian went to ring the doorbell, and soon a maid came to open the door for them.

”Mr. Li, you’re here.”

”How is Doudou doing?”

”He’s fine, just keeps talking about you,” the maid said with a smile.

Li Mingxi’s curiosity grew stronger as she followed Li Qian into the living room, where she saw a three-year-old boy quickly run over and hug Li Qian’s leg.

”Daddy, Doudou missed you so much.”

Li Mingxi’s eyes widened as if she had seen an alien.

Li Qian gave her a small smile and then picked up the little boy.

”This is my son.”

”Your... son?!”

Li Qian nodded and lovingly patted Doudou’s head, ”Yes, my biological son.”

Li Mingxi quickly regained her composure, ”Where’s his mother?”

”His mother left,” Li Qian said flatly, clearly not wanting to elaborate.

He sat down on the sofa with Doudou in his arms and playfully interacted with the little guy for a while.

Li Mingxi sat beside them, watching the warm bond between father and son, filled with questions.
