From the Metropolis to the Strongest in the Cosmos

The young men of the Thunder Spirit Race were mocking the man from the Star Moon Race.

Hearing them, the young Star Moon Race man, Xing Wu, snorted coldly and said, ”The human Li Yang is no simple character. He could very well become a powerful Emperor in the future. What’s wrong with befriending him a little?”

He had clearly picked up on the mockery from the Thunder Spirit Race members, but he was determined to speak up for his own race.

”Haha, an Emperor? Isn’t the human Li Yang only at the Star Lord Realm? Let’s see if he even makes it that far.”

”The difficulty of breaking through to the Emperor realm is immense. Even someone like the human Li Yang will likely get stuck at a bottleneck.”

”Exactly. There’s no need to pay any mind to a mere Star Lord Realm cultivator.”

The Thunder Spirit Race members roared with laughter.

Even if their race wasn’t the strongest, they still had Emperors of their own!

In comparison, a mere Star Lord Realm cultivator like Li Yang would be utterly powerless before their race.

They had no need to curry favor with Li Yang! And they disdained the very idea of it.

Thus, in their eyes, the Star Moon Race’s prior efforts to befriend Li Yang were clearly disgraceful.

It would be one thing if they were fawning over a powerful member of the Human Race, but Li Yang was just a weak little genius being groomed by them. Why go to such lengths to suck up to him?

The young Star Moon Race man’s expression shifted constantly, but he was outnumbered and couldn’t win an argument against so many members of the Thunder Spirit Race.

In the end, he could only let out a cold snort and say, ”I’ll be watching to see just how you Thunder Spirit Race people receive the human Li Yang.”

”Xing Wu, rest assured, we of the Thunder Spirit Race are nothing like your Star Moon Race.”

”That’s right. We won’t be fawning over Li Yang. He’ll enter our race like any ordinary human, and once his tempering in the Thunder Pool is over, the race will have him leave.”

The Thunder Spirit Race members spoke with great confidence.

”Then I’ll be waiting,” the Star Moon Race member retorted defiantly.

While they were speaking, Li Yang and Hei Xu arrived at the entrance.

”Li Yang, an elder from the Thunder Spirit Race will be out shortly. Let’s wait a moment,” said Hei Xu.

”Mm,” Li Yang nodded.

Just as he finished speaking, the entrance suddenly rippled. A powerful aura surged forth, and several figures flew out.

The leader was a middle-aged man. Judging by the aura, it was clearly the fluctuation of a Deity-level being.

”It’s Elder Yuan Ye.”

”He’s here to receive the human Li Yang.”

Seeing the middle-aged man fly out, the Thunder Spirit Race members on the planet began to murmur among themselves.

”Haha, Li Yang.”

The Thunder Spirit Race’s Elder Yuan Ye looked at Li Yang with a beaming smile and said, ”Welcome to the Thunder Spirit Race.”

Much like his reception with the Star Moon Race, Li Yang also wore a smile as the two sides exchanged a few pleasantries.

”Li Yang, come with me.” Under the gazes of the crowd, Elder Yuan Ye led Li Yang toward the entrance.

Seeing them disappear through the entrance, the young man from the Star Moon Race, Xing Wu, immediately said, ”Hmph. And you talk about the Star Moon Race? Aren’t you from the Thunder Spirit Race just as enthusiastic toward the human Li Yang? What right do you have to criticize us?”

”This is just a normal reception. You call this enthusiastic?”

”The human Li Yang is a guest, after all. He’d be received by any race he visited, wouldn’t he?”

”Xing Wu, at most we’ll just receive the human Li Yang. It’s not like we’re going to give him treasures and send him to fortuitous grounds like your Star Moon Race did.”

As soon as Xing Wu finished speaking, the other young men from the Thunder Spirit Race chimed in.

In their view, a normal reception was hardly an act of fawning.

”I refuse to believe your race doesn’t attach importance to the human Li Yang,” Xing Wu said in a low voice.

SWOOSH!

His figure flashed as he headed for the entrance, clearly intending to follow Li Yang.

”Haha, Xing Wu, if you don’t believe it, let’s go have a look together.”

”Let’s go. We’ll head back to the clan as well.”

After Li Yang entered the world of the Thunder Spirit Race, these members of the race followed behind him.

...

The planet outside was desolate and uninhabitable, but just like with the Star Moon Race, the moment they passed through the entrance and arrived in the world of the Thunder Spirit Race, the environment changed dramatically.

Vast quantities of Spirit Fruit and Medicinal Herbs were planted everywhere, emitting a dense Spiritual Power. Fierce beasts ran across the expansive grasslands.

There were many intelligent life forms in the Cosmos, forming countless races. The Demon Race, in particular, was extremely powerful.

But there were also innumerable fierce beasts. These beasts possessed little intelligence, driven only by instinct. They were often raised for their meat, which was a common food source.

On the backs of those fierce beasts were members of the Thunder Spirit Race.

These members of the Thunder Spirit Race were all incredibly tall and burly, like the Giant Race. Their arms were bare, and even the fierce beasts before them were docile and obedient.

’Ferocious.’ That was Li Yang’s strongest impression of the Thunder Spirit Race.

’The Thunder Spirit Race truly lives up to its fame for physical prowess,’ Li Yang marveled inwardly.

One glance was enough to tell that the Thunder Spirit Race was composed of physically powerful individuals, an aura Li Yang had only sensed in a select few people he had met.

For most Cultivators, comprehending the profound mysteries of laws was the only path. They wouldn’t waste time on physical cultivation, as a deeper understanding of laws naturally led to greater strength.

As these thoughts crossed his mind, Li Yang’s expression suddenly changed slightly.

BUZZ…

After entering the Thunder Spirit Race’s domain, the Token in his Spatial Ring—the one he had obtained from beside the black pearl near the Emperor Level expert of the Thunder Spirit Race—began to vibrate faintly. It seemed to be trying to break free of his control and fly out on its own.

’What’s going on? Why is the Token vibrating?’ Li Yang’s expression remained calm as he quickly suppressed the Token’s fluctuations, but inwardly he was alarmed.

It felt as if a summons was calling to it from a distance.

’Just as I thought, this Token is strange.’

Li Yang thought to himself, ’I’ll find a chance to figure it out later.’

The fact that the Thunder Spirit Race’s Emperor had wanted to send the Token back to the Thunder Spirit Race was a clear indication of its importance.

Now, just as Li Yang had arrived at the Thunder Spirit Race, the Token was already showing signs of abnormality, further proving its special nature.

...

Meanwhile, elsewhere, the Deities of the Thunder Spirit Race in charge were discussing Li Yang.

”The human Li Yang has entered the territory of our Thunder Spirit Race.”

”Let him wait in the palace for a while. We’ll wait for the Thunder Pool to open.”

The Deities were discussing among themselves.

There were numerous palaces all around, but the one in the central area was clearly the tallest and largest. It emanated waves of power; it was the absolute center of the Thunder Spirit Race.

The palace where these few Deities were located was some distance away from that central one.

BUZZ…

Just then, strange fluctuations suddenly emanated from the central palace.

The fluctuations spread out and were sensed by the Thunder Spirit Race Deities, causing their expressions to change drastically.

”What’s happening? Why is the central palace acting up?”

”The source of the fluctuations seems to be... the Thunder Pool?”

The Deities looked over, their eyes filled with shock and uncertainty.

That central palace was the sacred ground of their race, the residence of the clan’s Supreme Elder, and the Thunder Pool was also located within it!

And now, something unexpected was happening in the central palace!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

At the same time, from the top of the central palace, terrifying waves of aura erupted. This aura was immensely powerful, far surpassing that of Deities!

It was the fluctuation of the Emperor Level!
