From the Metropolis to the Strongest in the Cosmos

”Li Yang passed the twelfth step of the Path of Deities!”

”How is that possible?”

”This is insane! How did Li Yang cultivate over the past twenty years?”

Seeing this result, the many geniuses were even more stunned.

Twenty years ago, Li Yang could barely pass the ninth step!

Now, he had passed three more in a row!

You have to understand, even for Mixed Void, it took nearly twenty years to get from the ninth step to the twelfth. Li Yang’s rate of progress was no less than Mixed Void’s.

”The twelfth step...” Lan Yu watched, his gaze fixed on the rankings.

’Li Yang... in just twenty years, has the gap between us really grown this wide?’

He had been cultivating diligently, not daring to waste a single moment, but the gap between him and Li Yang had suddenly become so immense!

This single step was something he couldn’t pass even if he stayed in the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall for a full hundred years.

WHOOSH!

Before their eyes, Li Yang’s figure appeared.

”Li Yang! I knew you weren’t dead.”

Seeing Li Yang, Mute was the first to rush over, a clear trace of joy in his eyes.

When the news of Li Yang’s death had spread, he had refused to believe it, always remaining firm in his conviction that Li Yang was alive.

There was joy, but what Mute felt even more was shock.

”How did you cultivate? Your progress over these twenty years is just too fast!” Mute couldn’t help but ask.

He had only just passed the sixth step.

At this moment, Lan Yu, Dilunxi, and the other geniuses were also looking at Li Yang, hoping to hear his answer.

They too wanted to know just how Li Yang had progressed so quickly in twenty years.

Looking at Mute, Li Yang said, ”I came across a fortuitous opportunity in the Lingyue World.”

He didn’t go into detail. After a brief explanation, he said, ”Mute, I have something to attend to, so I’ll be leaving now.”

With a flicker of his body, he vanished.

He left, but the many geniuses did not. They remained, staring in shock at Li Yang’s achievement.

...

His consciousness withdrew, and Li Yang reappeared before the entrance to the Lingyue World.

”Teacher, Lord Xuan Mo,” Li Yang said, looking at the two before him.

”Haha, Li Yang, you really gave me a fright this time,” Xuan Mo said with a laugh, looking at Li Yang.

He then turned to the Blade Slaughter Sect Master and said, ”Blade Slaughter, I envy you for having such an outstanding disciple.”

Someone with Li Yang’s level of Talent would be fought over by Emperors. Who wouldn’t care about a disciple like that?

The Blade Slaughter Sect Master, however, replied with a calm expression, ”If you’re envious, then go recruit your own disciples. You don’t have a single one, yet you’re envious of me?”

Like Yuan Wu, Xuan Mo also disliked taking on disciples.

As the two powerful Deities spoke, Li Yang stood off to the side.

”Alright, Xuan Mo, I’ll be taking Li Yang with me now. We should get a drink sometime.”

The Blade Slaughter Sect Master didn’t say much more. With a wave of his right hand, he and Li Yang vanished.

En route, a smile finally appeared on the Blade Slaughter Sect Master’s face. ”Li Yang, your strength has improved immensely, completely exceeding your teacher’s expectations.”

He had previously thought it would be impressive if Li Yang passed the tenth step; he never expected him to go straight through the twelfth. It had given him quite a shock.

”Next, you should prepare to break through to the Star Lord Realm. According to the Eternal Saint Hall’s arrangements, you will be sent to several places of fortuitous opportunity to reap their benefits.”

If a genius failed to display sufficient Talent, they would receive few benefits after breaking through to the Star Lord Realm following their hundred years of cultivation in the Longevity Realm at the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall. From then on, they would have to rely on themselves to grow stronger.

But for someone like Li Yang, upon breaking through to the Star Lord Realm, the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall would bestow upon them one great fortuitous opportunity after another!

These were opportunities that other Star Lord Realm geniuses would almost never encounter.

This was the benefit of demonstrating immense potential!

With great Talent, opportunities are arranged for you! You don’t even have to look for them yourself.

Hearing this, Li Yang said, ”Teacher, after I break through, I plan to return to Earth first and take care of some matters.”

”Return to Earth?”

Hearing Li Yang’s words, the Blade Slaughter Sect Master nodded. The opportunities bestowed by the Eternal Saint Hall did not stipulate that Li Yang had to go immediately.

The Longevity Realm cultivation period was one hundred years. As for the Star Lord Realm, the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall gave geniuses one thousand years.

Looking at Li Yang before him, the Sect Master noted that this disciple of his clearly cared deeply about his home planet.

After thinking for a moment, the Blade Slaughter Sect Master said, ”Li Yang, you mentioned before that an enemy of yours is suppressing Earth. Now that you’ve passed the twelfth step of the Path of Deities, this news certainly can’t be contained. Your enemy will probably hear of it as well.”

The twelfth step of the Path of Deities was the benchmark for the monstrous geniuses of the Human Race. One could imagine that before long, Li Yang’s name would spread far and wide!

”It takes two months to travel from the Eternal Saint Hall to the Yangyuan Star Continent. In those two months, your enemy might have already made plans, or even fled.”

”The Cosmos is so vast. If someone truly decides to flee, who could possibly find them?”

Li Yang nodded. After he had been recruited by the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall, Jin Mola—the one who first discovered Earth and caused its apocalyptic crisis—had vanished, hiding somewhere unknown.

If Celestial Net learned of his current situation, would it wait for death or choose to flee? No one knew.

The Blade Slaughter Sect Master continued, ”Your Eleventh Senior Brother is in the Yangyuan Empire. Send him all the information about your enemy’s oppression of Earth. Your Eleventh Senior Brother will use that evidence to arrest Celestial Net directly. That way, you won’t have to worry about Celestial Net escaping.”

Hearing this, Li Yang’s eyes lit up, and he quickly said, ”Thank you, Teacher.”

’Celestial Net escaping is indeed a problem.’

’The Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall is far from the Yangyuan Empire. The journey back would take at least two months. In that time, who knows what Celestial Net might do?’

’But if Celestial Net is captured first, waiting for me to return and deal with it, then everything will be foolproof.’

Li Yang’s Eleventh Senior Brother was a Tri-System Deity, his strength in no way inferior to his Ninth Senior Brother’s.

”A small matter.”

The Blade Slaughter Sect Master said with a smile, ”Don’t worry about Earth’s affairs for now. Go to the Inheritance Hall and peacefully assimilate what you’ve gained over the past twenty years. Then, break through to the Star Lord Realm before returning to the Yangyuan Star Continent. Take your time; there’s no rush.”

”Your strength is what’s most important. As long as you grow strong as quickly as possible, no one will dare to bully your home planet, Earth, ever again.”

He was helping Li Yang resolve this minor trouble in the hope that Li Yang could focus more on his cultivation.

”I understand,” Li Yang nodded.

...

After a trip to the Virtual World to have Li Dong send over the information, Li Yang contacted his Eleventh Senior Brother and forwarded the files to him.

Afterward, Li Yang went to the Inheritance Hall to assimilate his twenty years of insight into the laws.

And just as the Blade Slaughter Sect Master had said, the news that Li Yang had passed the twelfth step of the Path of Deities spread out in a very short time.

The news immediately caused a massive stir!
