Facing an Ancient God for a Year

Chapter 349: Chapter 349: Unclean Ecstasy (11)_1

Let’s take a look at the scene…

Unexpectedly, Fu Qian actually made such a request; the three in the office exchanged looks of surprise.

As a suspect, this was undoubtedly not the attitude he should have had.

But Fu Qian’s tone was so natural and composed that it didn’t sound out of place at all.

“What’s wrong? Even if one is a suspect, don’t they still have to identify the scene?”

…

...Lanaya cast an inquiring glance at Li Weixuan, who in turn looked at Yuan Fang.

Ultimately, after a prolonged silence, Yuan Fang nodded his head.

“Then let’s all go together.”

…

It turned out that the treatment of the Yuan Clan was still quite good.

Even as the former person in charge, Jia Yi’s mansion was several notches higher than where Betty lived.

And now the crime scene was in complete disarray.

On the massive bed, two naked bodies were entangled with limbs intertwined, firmly stuck together, their deaths gruesome.

From the clothing aside, one could tell that the other was a female companion Jia Yi had brought back from the party.

At this time, the scene of the crime was being carefully preserved, with several Night Watchmen guarding the surroundings.

The leader among them was a familiar face—Hu Mingyi.

At this moment, as the four people entered the room, his gaze was somewhat complex.

“Thank you for your hard work.”

Fu Qian greeted him naturally and proceeded to observe the bed closely.

It was clear that the two had been killed during an intimate moment.

There were two fatal injuries, each sufficient to kill more than ten times over.

Firstly, a shocking large hole ran from top to bottom, almost penetrating both chests, as if punched out.

Above that, both heads were flattened like watermelons, splattering red and white all over the bed.

Most impressively, the hard skulls were shattered to bits under the blow; it was nearly impossible to find a fragment larger than a fingernail.

What a deep hatred this must be!

“Indeed, it’s the work of a Transcendent.”

Facing this bloody scene, Fu Qian was exceptionally serious in his analysis, remaining calm and composed with none of the self-awareness a suspect should have had.

“Who was the first to discover it?”

He turned to look at Hu Mingyi.

…

Facing Fu Qian’s question, the latter seemed somewhat speechless, instinctively glancing towards Yuan Fang.

Aren’t you mistaken about your role?

Fu Qian’s demeanor also caused Yuan Fang to frown deeply, but in the end, he nodded.

“The servants first discovered it around noon, but the time of death should be even earlier.”

With the leader’s nod, Hu Mingyi began to answer Fu Qian’s question.

It fits perfectly with his own timeline; the implication couldn’t be heavier.

Fu Qian thought to himself after listening.

He indeed had a considerable motive himself.

Jia Yi’s act of reporting him at that time shouldn’t have been a secret.

And with a little careful investigation, one might even find out about the last conflict.

That incident almost directly led to his dismissal.

This resulted in Jia Yi’s death making him, in the absence of clear evidence, still the prime suspect despite any obvious framing.

Under these circumstances, his own actions were bound to be limited.

This was a blatant stratagem! Someone didn’t want him wandering around.

Such targeting could only be for one reason, as he saw it.

That was because he, as a Transcendent, had appeared at that party, which aroused someone’s vigilance and suspicion.

Right!

With this thought, Fu Qian nodded with satisfaction.

Whether or not he was the Ecstatic Servant he was looking for, it was a good sign that someone was trying to stop him; it meant he was on the right track.

“Why do I get the feeling that you’re in a good mood?”

Fu Qian’s demeanor made the nearby Lanaya frown deeply.

“Even if you didn’t kill the guy, it’s very likely related to yesterday’s incident. Shouldn’t you feel guilty for involving others?”

“Is it that obvious?”

Fu Qian wiped the corner of his mouth.

“What do you think?”

“First of all, I’m not familiar with this guy.”

Fu Qian pointed to the bed.

“Secondly, as an innocent bystander who was murdered, the only one who should be blamed is the murderer. I haven’t done anything wrong, so why should I feel guilty about someone else’s mistake?

And what I’m going to do next is to prove my innocence and avenge him. From any angle, I see no reason to feel guilty.”

…

“What you’re saying… actually makes sense yet is cold-hearted. Although I don’t like it, I can’t refute it,” Lanaya said after a silence, finally speaking in a deep voice.

“Of course, I am known as the Sage of Legalism, after all.”

…

“The method was very clean and efficient, and the flesh and bones show some mutations, almost certainly the work of a Transcendent.”

In the conversation with Lanaya, Li Weixuan also scrutinized the body up and down, finally reaching a conclusion that was not very insightful.

Fu Qian was not surprised by this.

After all, as a half-god and professional consultant, he hadn’t observed anything more himself.

However, speaking of this… Fu Qian looked down at the corpse.

For some reason, he always felt that something was a bit off.

Moving closer, he examined the two bodies again carefully, not missing any detail.

Unfortunately, his expression in the face of such a depraved and bloody scene could easily make one think he was a pervert.

Wait a second!

At a certain moment, Fu Qian’s gaze sharpened, and he finally realized where the sense of incongruity lay—unlike the pair with socialite Betty, the mutations in the flesh and bones of these two seemed very inconsistent.

With the lady above, the degree of body mutation was very slight, with only a trace visible.

Whereas with Jia Yi below, it was much more obvious, already showing some non-human characteristics.

Why would that be?

As far as Fu Qian understood, the distortions were likely due to the activated desires in the two.

It’s just a pity that those desires weren’t strong enough to survive outside the body, and with the death of the two, they had already dissipated, so he couldn’t refer to them.

“I heard from Professor Lanaya that Professor Fu left the Academy today?”

In the middle of his contemplation, Hu Mingyi asked again.

“That’s right.”

“Do you have an alibi then?”

“Probably not.”

Fu Qian wasn’t ready to reveal Old Master Lu as his cover just yet.

He also didn’t want to expose the matter of the invitation.

The discovery of activated desire on Betty’s person was an accident, and if the Night Watchman were informed, it would inevitably lead to actions against everyone at the banquet.

If that happened, the Ecstatic Servant involved might just go into hiding, and then it would not be so easy to find him again.

“If that’s the case, I’m sorry, but despite the numerous doubts, we will have to impose some restrictions on you,” Hu Mingyi said, clenching his teeth, finally speaking up.

“That’s only right, but since there are so many doubts, shouldn’t you give me a chance to prove my innocence? Allow me to join the investigation?” Fu Qian said with a smile.

“If you’re worried about me running away, you can have Professor Lanaya keep an eye on me.”

God, I’m busy enough as it is! How do I have the time to keep watch over you every day?

Hearing Fu Qian’s words, Lanaya instinctively wanted to curse.

“Okay.”

But before she could say anything, Li Weixuan had already nodded in agreement.
