Chapter 2248: Chapter 2249: Refining the Essence

Moreover, the Sect Master has already granted him the authority to freely enter and exit her Cave Mansion.

However, upon reaching the entrance of the Cave Mansion, he still sent a disciple to announce his arrival, as etiquette should not be overlooked.

”Elder Ye, I was just planning to look for you, but here you are!”

The Sect Master showed no sign of authority, instead, she welcomed him warmly, which made Ye Luo feel flattered and slightly overwhelmed.

”You’re too kind, Sect Master. If there’s anything you need, just let me know directly!”

”Hehe, there’s no need to stand on ceremony, come inside!” She said, personally leading Ye Luo into the Cave Mansion.

Whenever facing the Sect Master, he always felt like he was dealing with a little girl, a uniquely comforting feeling.

Yet it was precisely this sense of comfort that made Ye Luo easily lower his guard, even inadvertently revealing his secrets at times.

This feeling was quite peculiar.

”Tell me, what brings you here?” asked the Sect Master with a smile.

”Well, I wanted to test the effects of the Gold Silk Wood essence,” Ye Luo replied truthfully.

The Sect Master was not surprised at all; instead, she chuckled.

”Hehe, it seems we were thinking the same thing. Look at this!”

As she spoke, she handed him a small brown bottle!

It was the essence! Ye Luo immediately felt a shock in his heart; had she been planning to give it to him all along?

He had secretly observed before that the quantity of this essence was actually very limited, and those disciples could only collect a few drops in the morning, showing how precious it was.

But now, this small bottle might have taken a year to gather!

This makes it extremely valuable.

”Sect Master!” Ye Luo hesitated slightly.

”Just take it. This essence is very beneficial for the body, but the first use has the greatest effect. Afterward, the effect diminishes. For me, for example, having used it for a very long time, it is now practically useless.” The Sect Master explained.

This point was easy to understand; if it always had such a great effect, it would indeed be too miraculous.

However, with this small bottle, Ye Luo could potentially cultivate numerous body refinement experts.

Thus, he felt obliged to accept this favor.

”Alright, I will accept it then!” Ye Luo said solemnly.

The Sect Master nodded with a smile, ”However, this isn’t given freely. I have something else I need your help with!”

Ye Luo also smiled, ”Whatever it is, just instruct me, Sect Master. As long as it is within my capabilities, I will do my best!”

Ye Luo wasn’t foolish; despite its value, he had to be cautious in making promises.

The Sect Master didn’t mind his words, ”Actually, it’s not a difficult task. In the territorial dispute a few months away, I’d like to select a group of disciples and have you take charge of training them during this period!”

”Is this appropriate?” Ye Luo furrowed his brows.

After all, there were quite a few in Zi Wei Sect with higher cultivation than him, so it seemed unlikely for him to be selected.

”In fact, while our Zi Wei Sect has many disciples, we’re just not as numerous as the Great Sects in terms of Elders. So, it’s not practical for an Elder to guide too many disciples individually, since Elders have their own cultivation to attend to. Thus, each Elder is allotted a certain number of disciples,”

Ye Luo suddenly realized the situation! It simplified matters greatly.

”This isn’t really a difficult task; I accept. However, my abilities are limited, and I cannot guarantee the level of guidance I can provide,” Ye Luo replied with a smile, ”Moreover, having been in Zi Wei Sect for so long, I’ve used the Sect’s resources entirely without contributing any effort. This makes me feel quite guilty, and it’s perfect timing with this opportunity; how could I refuse!”

Given the ease of the task, Ye Luo naturally had to say a few courteous words.

”Since that’s the case, I shall trouble Elder Ye. In three days, there will be a ceremony where Elders and disciples select each other, don’t forget to attend Elder Ye!”

After conversing briefly with her, Ye Luo hurriedly departed, eager to test the effects of the Gold Silk Wood essence.

After all, even an expert like the Sect Master advocated for it, presumably its effects were extraordinary.

Besides, using it was quite simple; just pour it into the bathtub and immerse oneself to absorb it.

The bathtub had long been prepared for him, yet as a man, he was embarrassed to use it. Now, it proved useful.

However, the task of heating the water was left to the two disciples outside.

Typically, they resided in a house outside because Ye Luo was a male Elder, and living together would be inconvenient.

Soon, they fetched the hot water. These two female disciples were quite interesting; as soon as Ye Luo stared at them for a while, their faces flushed.

After all, they came to the Sect at a young age for cultivation, and scarcely interacted with men afterward.

But romantic feelings are inherent in humans! Moreover, these two disciples were at an age of awakening love; it was impossible for them not to have thoughts about men!

Thus, the first encounter with a man, especially someone living with a man, stirred their emotions significantly.

However, Ye Luo had no particular feelings for them. This wasn’t solely due to appearance, considering his current realm, and he had seen women before! More importantly, he had his own boundaries and didn’t take liberties with just any woman!

Therefore, after the two disciples left, he immediately poured the essence into the water, naturally only a few drops at a time!

It’s a gradual process; even so, the water in the bathtub began to boil immediately. Fortunately, the bathing tub in Zi Wei Sect was particularly sturdy, probably designed to withstand the preparation of essence.

Otherwise, the energy in the water would have shattered the wooden tub long ago.

Ye Luo undressed and jumped into the tub right away. Since the essence would quickly dissipate once out of the small bottle, even in water, the dissipation was only slightly delayed.

Of course, pouring it into the water served a diluting purpose, aiding cultivators in absorption.

As soon as he entered the water, Ye Luo felt the difference. The essence had transformed into energy, and as soon as he entered, this energy found a release point and drilled directly into his body.

Initially, he had wondered how to absorb it, but now it seemed his worries were completely unnecessary. This energy was quite eager!
