Chapter 2217: Chapter 2218: Besieging the Dragon Clan

In the past few days, Ye Luo frequently attacked the bandits, looting a considerable amount of resources. According to the Clan Leader, the people and Demon Beasts in the tribe could use them for a whole year without any issues. Finally, Ye Luo could breathe a sigh of relief.

But during this time, there was also an unexpected gain!

Ye Luo accidentally discovered the method the bandits used to acquire Demon Beasts!

Part of it involves buying from the Sects. The Sects not only breed Demon Beasts themselves, allowing them to evolve but also capture Demon Beasts from the Demon Beast territories. These Demon Beasts, with relatively poorer aptitude, are then sold to the bandits by the Sects.

Another portion is caught by the bandits themselves!

Of course, this portion is small, but often the Demon Beasts with good bloodlines and strong power within the tribe are captured by the bandits themselves.

Each year, there are specific days in the Demon Beast territory when powerful Demon Beasts’ auras, once exposed, are immediately attacked by the frenzied Laws!

Perhaps it’s because the South Territory itself serves as a connection point for several regional planes, with numerous spatial nodes, leading to instability in Laws. It’s possible that for some periods, the Laws become highly sensitive to Demon Beasts and autonomously attack those of high rank.

When high-rank Demon Beasts disappear, other Demon Beasts suffer as well.

The forces of the South Territory and Sects all capitalize on this to hunt Demon Beasts from the territories.

Not only them, but many inland forces also get involved.

After all, the Demon Beasts of the South Territory are much more formidable than those inland and are more worth cultivating.

One could say, in these few days, the lives of Ye Luo and his group have been relatively relaxed.

However, the pursuers sent by the Dragon Clan were not in such good spirits.

”This won’t do. We can’t keep chasing like this. Now that they have Demon Beasts, they’re obviously faster than us, and it seems they’re more familiar with the environment of the South Territory!” a Dragon King said with a furrowed brow.

On the ground was where Ye Luo and his group had camped yesterday. It was evident they had left an entire day ago.

Initially, they were only about an hour behind Ye Luo and his group, but as time went on, the gap widened; now, they were a whole day behind.

Of course, the Dragon Clan’s marching speed wasn’t that slow. The key issue was the spatial rifts they encountered, which wasted a lot of time. Unfortunately, they had no idea where these spatial rifts might appear!

After all, these things couldn’t be detected with Divine Sense or Mana at all.

”But if we don’t pursue, we can’t report back to the family!” another Dragon King sighed.

It was they who let Ye Luo escape initially, and now they were attempting to redeem themselves by merit. However, after several days without capturing Ye Luo, dissatisfaction had begun to brew in the clan.

”Report to the Dragon King, some bandits have us surrounded!” a Dragon Clan warrior stepped forward to report.

”Damn it, what’s going on? Why have these bandits targeted us? They accuse us of stealing their resources—ridiculous! Does our Dragon Clan lack resources? Initially bandits, and now they’re trying to play the victim here, how laughable!” The Dragon King immediately grew furious.

”Alright, let’s head out and give them a lesson!” Another Dragon King, with a dark expression, strode out.

Outside, a dense throng of bandits had surrounded these Dragon Clan warriors.

By their attire, these bandits were not from a single tribe; now they had allied together.

”You bunch of vermin, dare to block the path of the Dragon Clan? Are you really not afraid of death? Aren’t you afraid that our Dragon Clan will wipe out the bandits of the South Territory?” The Dragon King roared loudly.

He was already quite vexed over Ye Luo’s situation, and being frequently harassed by bandits over the past few days only intensified his anger, so naturally, no pleasant words came out.

In fact, the bandits were even more infuriated than these Dragons.

Their tribes had been plundered over a dozen times. Although bandits tend to be relatively wealthy, there were many of them. Without resources, how could they sustain so many bandits!

Though restrictions were placed on the bandits, if facing certain death, who would still serve loyally?

”The Dragon Clan really has some nerve! Is the Sixth Region your domain? How laughable! Years ago, when the Tianzong tried to annihilate us, they failed. The Sword Cultivating Sect wanted to destroy us too, yet we are still thriving! The South Territory is the South Territory, not something you can lay hands on. Since when did the Dragon Clan boast such prowess?” a bandit Great Commander sneered.

Upon hearing this, several Dragon Kings looked displeased.

The Dragon Clan had always been accustomed to arrogance, so they spoke without much regard!

In truth, the South Territory is a unique entity in the Sixth Region, inhabited by criminals wanted by major powers.

There had been fierce wars in the past, but as the bandit Commander said, the forces of the South Territory not only survived but also flourished, which speaks volumes.

”Humph, whether we have the ability is our concern. You shrimp soldiers and crab generals, we don’t even take you seriously!” The Dragon King squinted, gazing disdainfully at the crowd.

The bandits were fuming; they had initially doubted whether these were real Dragons, as the Dragon’s aura could be imitated.

But every time they confronted the Dragons, there was no room for negotiation; their attitude clearly confirmed it was indeed them!

Bandits weren’t to be trifled with; they were notorious as mad dogs. Dragon Clan, Phoenix Clan—it didn’t matter! There were only a few Dragons, so they made their move.

”Alright then, since grievances have causes and debts have owners, we bandits are reasonable people. Since you attacked our tribe, as long as the resources are compensated, we won’t make things difficult for you!” The bandit leader shouted.

In truth, he was already yielding, considering they were facing the Dragon Clan. Avoiding conflict, if possible, remained the priority for a peaceful resolution.

But hearing this, the Dragon Kings burst into laughter.

”See, this is the shamelessness of bandits! I reckon it’s because you can’t survive anymore, and now you’re here to grab resources? The Dragon Clan’s resources are abundant but even for the Demon Beasts, they wouldn’t be given to you! You guys ought to be obliterated by the Power of Laws! Truly baffling how heaven allowed you to survive!” The Dragon King arrogantly cursed.

Moreover, his curses were proficient, successfully provoking the bandit Great Commander.

”Damn it, attack them! Who cares about some damn Dragon Clan!”

At his command, the swarm of bandits surged forward.

Now, the Dragons realized that perhaps they were in major trouble!
