Chapter 2209: Chapter 2210: Grand Elder

The Clan Leader was with two Elders, and the three of them jointly constructed a simple formation. This way, they could resist the harsh climate together, saving a lot of mana.

After all, among the entire tribe, the three of them had the highest cultivation levels. If a strong enemy attacked, the three of them would be the hope of the entire tribe.

Moreover, even if the three of them unleashed their full mana, they could not encompass the entire tribe within.

After all, in terms of formation expertise, they were far inferior to Ye Luo.

”You are here!”

When he saw Ye Luo approaching, the Clan Leader finally slowly opened his eyes.

”Clan Leader, Elders, I don’t know why you called me here, is there anything you need me to do?” Ye Luo asked.

”Ye Luo, we are planning to appoint you as the Grand Elder of the tribe, what do you think?” the Clan Leader stated directly.

Hmm?

Ye Luo raised his head, this news really surprised him.

Although this is a small tribe, they shouldn’t let an outsider become an Elder, right?

And the position of Grand Elder must surely be quite special.

”Don’t worry too much, we’ve all witnessed your strength the last time. Although our three old guys aren’t very strong, having survived so long in the South Territory, we’ve developed some unique skills!” the Clan Leader said.

Ye Luo suddenly realized that the fight he had with the two Dragon warriors was entirely viewed by these three, but it didn’t matter, as Ye Luo hadn’t planned on hiding it from them.

”So, do you not blame me for implicating you?” Ye Luo asked curiously.

The Clan Leader immediately laughed, ”In the South Territory, we already live a precarious life, so how can you say implicated? Besides, your strength is formidable, perhaps you can protect our tribe, allowing us to live peacefully for a period of time!”

The reason he said ”a period of time” is because with Ye Luo’s talent and skills, even going to those Great Sects would be more than sufficient, and he could not possibly stay in this small tribe indefinitely.

But Ye Luo didn’t think so, even though it’s a small tribe, it has advantages that even the Great Sects can’t match.

For example, mobility, and the years of accumulated escape experience!

If it weren’t for the tribe’s experience in fleeing, he might have already been targeted by the Dragon Clan.

Therefore, he planned to stay in the tribe for a longer period because he was unfamiliar with the South Territory.

Besides, the Great Sects are complicated with people’s hearts, unlike the safety of a small tribe.

”Clan Leader, Elders, I’m still quite young and haven’t been in the South Territory for long, so assuming this position of Grand Elder may not be appropriate!” Ye Luo said.

He still wanted to cultivate quietly on his own without diverting too much attention to tribal matters.

”I understand your thoughts, which is why we decided to make you the Grand Elder of the tribe. With your strength, you should assume the position of Clan Leader, but since you don’t like managing the tribe, we’ll handle all the management, and you just need to protect the tribe!” the Clan Leader said, ”Of course, you’ll also receive corresponding benefits. For instance, you’ll have priority access to the tribe’s resources and the accumulated experiences and insights will be handed over to you for comprehension!”

Initially, Ye Luo wanted to refuse, but upon hearing the last sentence, he immediately fell silent.

This tribe doesn’t migrate a few times a year, and the experiences they encounter must be numerous.

This will greatly enhance his understanding of the South Territory and equip him with valuable survival experience there.

Additionally, might there be records of the elusive Primal Essence?

After all, that treasure might exist in the South Territory, but it may not have been discovered by the Great Sects.

”Alright, I agree with you!” Ye Luo, being decisive, said.

Hearing this, the Clan Leader and the two Elders immediately looked joyful.

After all, Ye Luo’s addition greatly enhanced the tribe’s chances of survival.

”Grand Elder, although we’re a small tribe, everyone in the tribe has been wronged by those Great Sects, and the feelings among us are deep. This is why we’re striving to maintain the tribe, or rather, this is our home!” the Clan Leader sighed.

Ye Luo naturally understood this point, and if it weren’t for that, he wouldn’t have agreed to be the Grand Elder.

”Good, since that is the case, I’ll notify the entire clan. By the way, we wanted to hold a simple welcome ceremony, what do you think?” the Clan Leader inquired.

Although he’s the Clan Leader, in the South Territory, where strength is respected, in fact, Ye Luo is now the highest-ranking person in the tribe.

”No need, everyone is using mana to withstand the environment, so there’s no need to complicate things. Besides, if this continues, we might not be able to travel tomorrow!” Ye Luo frowned and said.

Nights are relatively safe, but during the day, they must still evade the pursuit of the Dragon Clan.

”Sigh, this is something that can’t be helped, after all, the overall strength of the tribe is like this. We can only distribute some cultivation resources so they can replenish mana to continue the journey!” the Clan Leader said.

However, replenishing resources would also take considerable time.

”Since I’ve become the Grand Elder of the tribe, I should do something for the tribe!”

After saying this, he turned and left.

He then began to walk around. Of course, he wasn’t walking aimlessly; he was searching for the Formation Eye!

He intended to construct a formation. Although his formation skills couldn’t compare to the Ximo Clan, in the South Territory, he was considered to be at the grandmaster level of formations.

At least, his formations were far superior to those of the Clan Leader and the others.

More importantly, he didn’t construct formations solely using mana, as such formations covered a very small range and would consume his mana.

Thus, he decided to use treasures to build it.

Soon, the Great Array began to be arranged.

Fortunately, the tribe didn’t have many people, just a few dozen, so it didn’t consume too many treasures, and more importantly, the time consumed was acceptable to Ye Luo.

”Heavens, is this a formation? It actually isolates the violent power of the Laws here!”

”How many years has it been; this is my first time experiencing such a sensation. It’s so relaxing! I feel like I’ve returned to my childhood!”

Many people sighed with emotion, and a few elders even shed tears of joy.

Ye Luo didn’t bother with them; his purpose was to prevent them from expending mana so they could continue the journey the next day without wasting time.

After completing all this, Ye Luo exited the Great Array to continue honing his body!

For him, this was a rare cultivation method.

Soon, everyone in the tribe knew about Ye Luo becoming the Grand Elder. Naturally, the Clan Leader also informed everyone of Ye Luo’s cultivation, instantly causing the entire tribe to cheer.

The addition of a strong individual improved the tribe’s survival chances significantly.
