Chapter 1739: Chapter 1741: Deploying the Strategy

Ye Luo nodded, what the Werewolf Tribe commander said was indeed true.

”So, what do you think, how do the warriors of the Werewolf Tribe fight in battle?”

Being asked by Ye Luo, the commander was a bit at a loss, and only after a moment did he say: ”Well, battle naturally means charging and killing the enemy, right? How else could it be called fighting!”

Ye Luo smiled slightly: ”Right, your strategy is to be bold and fight to the end! Indeed, this is a tradition worthy of praise, but now, it won’t work!”

Everyone looked at Ye Luo, not understanding why he confirmed the Werewolf Tribe’s tradition but then said it wouldn’t work.

But Ye Luo did not wait for them to ask, as he had already begun to explain: ”Your way of fighting, if the enemy’s strength is nearly the same, then it is definitely feasible, even if the enemy is a bit cowardly, your momentum can crush them. But don’t forget, our current situation is that the enemy is much stronger!”

”The enemy has a vast number, and you have mentioned that their behemoths and strategic magical treasures are far more numerous than ours, so tell me, in previous battles, even though you caused substantial damage to the enemy, what about yourselves? Are your losses less?”

Asked by Ye Luo, the group did not know how to respond, after all, Ye Luo was speaking the truth!

”But Your Highness, war is inherently like this, you defeat a thousand enemies and lose eight hundred yourself, how can there possibly be victory without sacrifices?”

Ye Luo smiled again, but confidently said: ”Indeed, war cannot avoid casualties, but why must we defeat a thousand enemies and lose eight hundred of ourselves? Why can’t we defeat a thousand and lose two hundred ourselves?”

Everyone looked at one another, they understood Ye Luo’s point, wasn’t it about reducing casualties? In fact, if casualties could be reduced, they would want that too, but how could such a thing be solved just by talking?

”Your Highness, how do you plan to arrange this?”

Finally, someone asked Ye Luo.

Ye Luo was waiting for this question!

These people were all Werewolf Tribe commanders, and Ye Luo naturally hoped they could genuinely trust him. Only by being united can the greatest combat ability be unleashed!

”My arrangement is as follows, you all take a look!”

Ye Luo casually waved his hand, displaying the holographic map of the canyon before everyone, while his spiritual power formed shadows to begin the deployment!

...

About an hour later, Ye Luo finally arranged everything satisfactorily. If it was just deployment, it shouldn’t take so much time, but Ye Luo not only had to deploy but also carefully explain to these people why it was arranged this way!

Ye Luo’s deployments were linked one after another, any mistake in a link could lead to a complete defeat, so Ye Luo had to explain clearly!

”Alright everyone, since everyone understands their tasks, let’s act according to the requirements!”

Ye Luo gave the final summary, and this time, Ye Luo was going to counterattack!

To retake the canyon!

Because the geographic position of this canyon is extremely important.

It can be said that as long as the canyon is controlled, the enemy’s main force cannot infiltrate, while occupying the terrain advantage will definitely play a better role in the ensuing battle!

Meanwhile, no one noticed that Ye Luo’s appearance was undergoing slight changes!

Yes, Ye Luo had already begun to slowly restore his appearance.

But this matter cannot be rushed, because it cannot let the people of the Da Yue Empire notice the clues. In people’s hearts, it was because Ye Luo was the Third Prince that they treated him this way, but once they know Ye Luo is actually a spy sent by Great Tang.

Even if Ye Luo achieved great feats, he fundamentally wouldn’t be easily accepted by others.

Thus, Ye Luo could only change slowly, day by day, in an inconspicuous manner, making people think he was gradually growing into his original appearance; only this way can he restore his true appearance without arousing suspicion.

At this moment, in the direction of the canyon, the Werewolf Tribe had a hundred thousand soldiers.

Whereas the enemy had only sent a few dozen in the front, not to mention the following units, and the enemy kinds were diverse, various troop types were extremely complete.

There were Phantom Beast Knights similar to those most elite of the Demon Clan, and mechanical units from the Human Race.

There were gigantic beings and diminutive dwarfs!

The Commerce Alliance mobilized multinational forces, making the opposing battle style rather unpredictable, as each race possesses its own unique abilities!

Except for the Human Race!

In the Martial Realm, the Human Race is the most peculiar race — the racial talent of the Human Race?

Nobody knows what it is, perhaps a strong learning ability, and the peculiar nature that any ability of other races, as long as given the chance, the Human Race can learn it — that is the racial talent of the Human Race!

...

”Quick, quick, you lazy bugs, speed up, the Third Prince has ordered, the battle must begin within an hour, anyone who delays the march, beware of me cutting them down!”

A Werewolf Tribe commander loudly urged, under his command were only two thousand Werewolf Tribe warriors, however, these two thousand were carrying throwing spears!

Yes, throwing spears, and these spears are merely one-time consumables after a simple formation enchantment, not even magical treasures!

Each Werewolf Tribe warrior carried a full seven throwing spears, all strapped to their back.

It could be said, for the Werewolf Tribe warriors who are accustomed to close combat, this fighting style is simply very hard for them to accept.

But orders must not be disobeyed, they can only choose to comply.

This is the first unit Ye Luo sent out, their mission actually only has one — to lure the enemy!

Soon, these two thousand have reached the designated position.

Whether it’s foolishness or the warfare tradition of the Martial Realm being like this, in any case, after the last battle, both sides returned to their positions and began adjusting, and generally speaking, it’s time to rest, and then they launch new battles.

Yet, Ye Luo broke this habit!

”Prepare, everyone aim accurately, remember, quickly throw the spears in your hand, don’t worry about hitting the enemy, once you finish throwing, immediately run back!”

The commander repeated the order once more. Truthfully, retreat is a disgrace to the Werewolf Tribe!

But now that Ye Luo has commanded this way, they can only obey, though their hearts can’t help but feel uncomfortable.

”Ready, release!”

With a command from the leader, two thousand Werewolf Tribe soldiers began frantically throwing spears without hesitation.
