Chapter 1723: Chapter 1725: Wuling Nation

”People up front, come quickly, we can’t hold out much longer!”

The sound from the broadcast echoed, obviously calling Ye Luo and the other two!

Well, with such good intentions, let’s just be normal people for once. It’s a good chance to understand what’s happening here!

Thinking this, Ye Luo quickly moved towards the Mech Warriors.

With the protection of these Mech Warriors, Ye Luo and his two companions quickly entered the building.

To be honest, Ye Luo found it quite strange.

The abundance of Spiritual Power in the Martial Realm is something Earth cannot compare to. It’s not an exaggeration to say that if the people of the Martial Realm are willing, they can easily access Spiritual Power.

Even if this nation doesn’t have any Cultivation Techniques? But surely there should be naturally awakened Elementalists?

Alright, even if there are no Elementalists, once technology reaches a certain level, energy sources become a necessity.

So, when these people explore for energy, haven’t they discovered the purest, most abundant, safest, and cheapest Spiritual Power?

What are the chances they just happen to miss it?

Ye Luo certainly couldn’t believe it, so there must be something odd here, maybe even a hidden secret!

After all, Spiritual Power in the Martial Realm is as common as air, only differing in concentration!

Soon, Ye Luo and his companions were brought before a middle-aged man, likely the leader here.

The middle-aged man smiled at Ye Luo and asked cheerfully, ”Young man, where did you come from? Being able to escape the pursuit of the robotic army and enter the city, I have to say you’re quite lucky!”

Lucky?

Ye Luo twitched his eyelids. Honestly, he didn’t know how to explain it. If he hadn’t just left the Boundary Domain, he might even suspect he had come to some small world.

This mystery was unsettling to Ye Luo!

So, Ye Luo didn’t answer the man’s question and said directly, ”The three of us are not from your nation but from the outside. However, I have a question, and I hope you can clarify it!”

The middle-aged man gave Ye Luo a surprised look. Perhaps it was because the mention of coming from the outside world shocked him quite a bit.

”You’re actually from other countries? Could it be the border blockade has been breached? How is this possible?”

”If you have any questions, feel free to ask!”

Border blockade? Never mind, now’s not the time to discuss this.

Ye Luo quickly organized his words and asked, ”As far as I know, the Martial Realm has always prioritized cultivation. We’ve been to several nations, but we’ve never seen a nation like yours without any Martial Artists. What’s going on here? Do you reject Spiritual Power and refuse to cultivate?”

”Refuse to cultivate? Hmph, who wouldn’t want to gain powerful strength, who wouldn’t want to cultivate? Outsider, you’re not from our nation, so it’s understandable you don’t know the situation. In fact, of course we know we can cultivate through Spiritual Power, but the laws of Wuling Nation stipulate that cultivation equals treason. Who dares to cultivate? To tell you the truth, our city was destroyed because someone secretly cultivated!”

...

What kind of nonsense is this, that cultivation means treason?

Whoever heard of such a thing?

Ye Luo was shocked and didn’t even know how to continue his questioning.

The middle-aged man clearly noticed Ye Luo’s confusion and continued, ”Outsider, you may not have heard of Wuling Nation, after all, we’re just a very small nation. But the Commerce Alliance, you must have heard of them, right?”

Commerce Alliance!

How did this get related to the Commerce Alliance!

Ye Luo nodded, he had certainly heard of the Commerce Alliance.

Seeing Ye Luo nod, the middle-aged man’s face showed obvious anger and he said, ”Hmph, to tell you the truth, we Wuling Nation were once an affiliated nation of the Commerce Alliance! But here, we were treated as an industrial zone, and many years ago, we actually had many cultivators in Wuling Nation, even a half-step Spirit Martial expert, but the top brass of the Commerce Alliance saw our nation’s production capability, and so they plotted a vicious plan!

We, Wuling Nation, were originally a small nation that made a decent living processing some semi-finished parts for the Commerce Alliance. But suddenly one day, the Commerce Alliance ordered us to produce a large number of battle robots. At first, we didn’t think much of it; after all, the Commerce Alliance has always placed orders, and then we produce.

In just three short months, we produced millions of battle robots and even developed a super-intelligent control center. Originally, we thought we would definitely make big profits this time.

But just as we completed all the orders and were about to celebrate, the people from the Commerce Alliance came!

That time, many people came, but we didn’t think much about it, only feeling it was probably because there was so much cargo this time, so the Commerce Alliance sent more Guards.

Who knew those people were here to eliminate our strong ones!

The Bloody Day lasted only a single day, and all cultivators of Wuling Nation were wiped out!

At the same time, the super-intelligent control center replaced the original King, becoming our trusted King. The Commerce Alliance announced we were their production base, and all the people of Wuling Nation became so-called slave workers!

Anyone who resisted was killed without mercy!

Do you see it, our city doesn’t even have buildings above five stories?”

Ye Luo nodded again. Indeed, he had wondered earlier why such a technologically advanced city didn’t even have buildings above five stories.

”Yes, we’ve seen it, is there some connection?”

”Hmph, there’s a big connection! To tell you the truth, originally in all the cities of Wuling Nation, hundred-story buildings could be seen everywhere, with all sorts of flying vehicles weaving through, extremely prosperous! But the Commerce Alliance wanted to transform Wuling Nation into a factory, didn’t they? So they leveled all our cities, redeveloping and reconstructing them into one big factory!

In Wuling Nation, there are only factories, and all of us can only live within our factories...”

Ye Luo frowned deeply. These things he had heard had already exceeded his common knowledge!

Of course, in the Martial Realm, strange things were abundant, occasional shocks and surprises were nothing new.

But this time, Ye Luo was shocked by the dark side of the Commerce Alliance!

Just how powerful is this Commerce Alliance?

And what exactly are their intentions?
