Chapter 1215: Chapter 1215: Zombies with Failed Firearms

The captain looked at Liu San, his brow slightly furrowed as he pondered for a moment but still insisted, ”We can’t worry about that now, go and notify Commander Li and his team to come over. If we let these zombies spread, then the harm will only be greater! Remember, notify headquarters to send reinforcements quickly, we probably can’t hold out much longer!”

”Okay, captain, be careful, I’m going now.”

After Liu San left, the captain immediately began arranging his subordinates.

Although they were also from the Special Security Bureau, they were not elite forces like the Tian Group or Earth Group, so they were all equipped with firearms.

At that moment, the captain ordered everyone to set up a line of fire, hoping to hold out until reinforcements arrived.

The zombies were not moving too fast, but they exerted an indescribable pressure.

”Captain, what kind of monsters are these exactly? Could it really be a biohazard outbreak?”

”You, kid, watch less of those boring TV shows. These zombies are special puppets concocted by the Corpse King Palace, haven’t the headquarters’ materials explained that in detail? It’s just that the Corpse King Palace combined modern genetic enhancement techniques, so they were able to refine these zombies to be so powerful.

”You bunch of brats better listen carefully, don’t try to act tough. The headquarters’ documents even mentioned that even the Medical Martial God Ye Luo almost got controlled by these creatures, so absolutely do not take them lightly!”

”No way, Ye Luo is so powerful, and even he was almost trapped by these zombies?”

One of the team members asked incredulously. In reality, they weren’t very afraid of zombies. After all, as members of the Special Security Bureau, they often dealt with beings beyond ordinary people’s imaginations, like ancient martial artists, ability users, mutants, and genetically modified humans. Fighting zombies for them was more of a novelty.

”The ones who went up against the Medical Martial God weren’t these minor zombies but the much more formidable giant zombies. Anyway, I can’t explain clearly, just wait for Liu San to relay the message back, and maybe the Medical Martial God will come to support, then you can ask him directly.”

”Captain, are you serious? Ye Luo might actually come to our small division? Here, even having a high-level practitioner from the Earth Group is incredibly rare, is it possible that Medical Martial God Ye Luo would come here?”

Everyone was incredibly excited. Ye Luo’s reputation had already spread within the Special Security Bureau like a deity, especially after the recent rankings battle, becoming an idol for countless young people within the bureau!

”Just wait and see, okay, no more talking, prepare for battle!”

The zombies were approaching, and the captain stopped the idle chatter.

Everyone understood it wasn’t the time for talking and quickly readied themselves for combat, but in their hearts, they still wondered whether Ye Luo would actually come to their remote division.

Suddenly, the zombies in front seemed to receive an order, speeding up abruptly.

The captain didn’t panic and immediately issued commands.

”Fire, fire fiercely!”

Bang, bang, bang!

Everyone immediately opened fire, bullets rushing toward the leading zombies. In an instant, dozens of zombies were taken down.

However, before they could feel relieved, they saw that aside from a few whose heads had exploded, the rest stood up again as if they hadn’t been hurt at all!

”Damn it, aim for their heads, only headshots can kill these creatures!”

Unfortunately, the members of the Special Security Bureau often relied on their martial skills for missions; they were indeed equipped with firearms but rarely used them, so their shooting skills were not very polished.

Headshots proved to be quite a challenge for them.

The fight continued for several more minutes, and finally, the zombies approached them, and the firearms were about to lose their effectiveness.

”Those of you who are good shots, quickly fall back, take the high ground and cover us! Everyone else, follow me up!”

The captain, unafraid, put on his knuckle-dusters and charged toward the zombies.

”Kill!”

Dozens of the most ordinary members of the Special Security Bureau charged at hundreds of zombies.

Unfortunately, only when they truly engaged in combat with the zombies did they realize how formidable these seemingly dumb and slow creatures were. Their bodies were exceptionally robust, their reactions not too shabby, and their overall strength—almost all were at the Saint Level!

”Damn it, captain, we can’t hold them off!”

”We have to hold on, don’t forget, behind us are civilians. If we retreat, these zombies will definitely cause a huge upheaval, countless people will be slaughtered. Hold on, we must hold on until Commander Li arrives with reinforcements!”

The captain shouted loudly.

Liu San was quick, running all the way to Commander Li and informing him that the Special Security Bureau needed help.

Commander Li frowned slightly; although according to regulations, he had no right to deploy troops privately, he was very clear in his mind that if the Special Security Bureau was asking for help, it must be a significant matter. However, he still dared not mobilize all forces, so he could only send a squad as a vanguard.

Liu San knew there was no other choice, so he immediately began to report back to the Special Security Bureau.

At that moment, Ye Luo was not at the Special Security Bureau, and many matters related to the Earth Group fell on Mingyue.

Mingyue happened to be at the headquarters and, after hearing the news, volunteered to go and investigate the situation.

The hospital still had many zombies lying around, so the Special Security Bureau naturally did not dare to be careless. On one hand, they sent out Mingyue and others; on the other hand, they also applied for assistance from above.

The battle then erupted!

...

”Quick, quick, where are the people from the Second Company? What the hell are all of you doing? This is real combat, not an act. Damn it, all of you fire your guns, I’ll execute anyone who tries to flee!”

Inside a building in Zhamu City, a battalion commander loudly ordered.

Today marked the third day of continuous fighting; they had killed over three hundred zombies, but more and more zombies were rushing into Zhamu City.

It can be said that the small Zhamu City was now engulfed in the war, with Mingyue and others at the forefront.

Mingyue, leading the people from the Earth Group, plunged into the battle immediately after disembarking from the plane.

Only those who have experienced such battles themselves know the ferocity of the zombies!

Although the Special Security Bureau was continuously striving, mobilizing troops during peaceful times was not so simple.

Thus, Zhamu City was merely relying on Commander Li, Mingyue, and others to hold the fort.

Liu San currently held a submachine gun, constantly spraying fire, his eyes filled with hatred.

Because all his teammates had been killed!
