Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 1214: Chapter 114: The Battle of Zhamu City

At this point, even a fool would know that the young man’s identity was not only genuine, but he also had a special task.

In fact, none of this was a coincidence. Ye Luo still hadn’t reached Mingyue and the others, so he had no idea of how dire the situation really was.

In reality, although the news was completely blocked,

somewhere in the mountains, a small-scale war was underway.

A war between zombies and the human race!

Many had high hopes for Ye Luo, and upon hearing of his arrival, who would care whether he was hijacking a plane?

It wouldn’t matter if he was hijacking a civilian aircraft, even if Ye Luo went and hijacked a fighter jet now, no one would utter a word of objection.

They knew Ye Luo was going there to provide support!

To support a battlefield where over a thousand people had died!

The plane soon took off, and at this moment, the flight attendants’ views of Ye Luo had completely changed.

In fact, not all the crew members were on the plane, but that didn’t matter since Ye Luo was the only passenger.

”Sir, would you like a drink? Although I don’t know what is worrying you so much, I believe everything will be okay,” Bai Jie said gently to Ye Luo.

Although Bai Jie didn’t know Ye Luo’s identity, seeing the airport’s attitude towards Ye Luo, she understood that he was no ordinary person.

Even though Ye Luo was shouting about hijacking the plane, not only did no police appear, but the control tower even immediately cleared the runway to let their small plane take off, which already explained a lot.

”Okay, thank you!” Ye Luo responded, taking the orange juice and sipping it casually. He also knew, no matter how worried he was, haste was utterly futile. The audacity of the Corpse King Palace to wage war in the mundane world made Ye Luo realize that this time, the situation was really severe.

”Look, what is that!”

Suddenly, another flight attendant exclaimed in surprise.

Following her gaze, they saw two fighter jets flying beside Ye Luo’s small plane, evidently escorting it.

For some reason, Ye Luo felt a tightness in his chest upon seeing the excited flight attendants, sensing a strong unease.

It seemed that this time, Ye Luo had dragged them into a vortex they should have stayed away from!

The appearance of the fighter jets itself indicated how intense the battle against the Corpse King Palace was.

Unfortunately, it was now impossible for Ye Luo to regret.

He needed to reach the location as quickly as possible!

Zhamu City, a small city on the edge where Qing Province and Tibetan Province meet.

Perhaps it couldn’t even be called a city.

Because here, there were fewer than fifty thousand permanent residents and nothing special in terms of industry, not even a tourist spot.

Apart from the occasional passing traveler, this place was virtually unnoticed.

Yet, right here, a battle was being fiercely fought.

Shortly after Ye Luo noticed something unusual at Hualian Supermarket, someone else discovered anomalies here.

Subsequently, the Special Security Bureau quickly realized that there was a significant problem.

Thus, they evacuated the entire civilian population of Zhamu City under the guise of an air defense drill.

People, although unaware of why there was a sudden, incomprehensible air defense drill, faced with the offer of five thousand yuan plus meals and accommodation for a few days’ trip to the provincial city, all accepted without objection and left their hometown smiling with the soldiers.

What they didn’t know was that not far behind them, the battle had already begun.

The first to notice something amiss was a sentry post.

Given that Zhamu City was near the border and had a battalion stationed there, naturally, many outpost were scattered around.

At that moment, five soldiers at this outpost, who were performing routine patrols, saw a large group of people walking toward them.

These people were very peculiar, for no matter how the soldiers shouted, no one responded.

Feeling that the situation was too abnormal, the squad leader ordered two warriors to immediately return to the outpost to report the situation.

However, he and the other two warriors approached the group.

Little did they know, they had just reached these people when tragedy struck.

The group, like madmen, rushed up and without any warning, literally tore them apart.

The remaining two warriors, who witnessed this, were terrified beyond measure as the scene reminded them of a ”biohazard crisis” they had seen on TV.

Could it be that a biohazard crisis had erupted?

Both warriors were young and liked to watch TV in their spare time.

At this moment, they naturally reported this under the pretext of a biohazard crisis.

Upon receiving the report, many scoffed, and some even thought the two warriors were joking and deserved to be punished...

But the Special Security Bureau personnel arrived!

This group wasn’t Mingyue and others, but a branch of the Special Security Bureau in Qing Province.

The leader, also only at Saint Level, found out about the situation and immediately led his team to the scene.

By the time they arrived, the outpost was already gone, and the two soldiers who reported had sacrificed.

However, the zombies were still there.

”Captain, could these be the zombies reported by headquarters? Why are they appearing in our jurisdiction?”

”Ask me, who do I ask? Heard Medical Martial God Ye Luo wiped out one of their branches and rescued thousands, but till now, most of those thousands haven’t been assigned attributes. Headquarters said this is a new type of virus made by a force called Corpse King Palace, combining Genetically Modified People’s transformation technology, a special virus, you guys don’t be careless!”

”Don’t worry, mate, we understand. Hmph, usually we just deal with poachers, spies, and the like. This time we actually get to fight zombies, haha, Captain, give the order, let’s eliminate these bastards!”

”Elimination is a must, we absolutely can’t let them harm the public, headquarters foresaw this and evacuated the people of Zhamu City early, otherwise, there would have already been a panic. Liu San, you head back now, on one hand, inform headquarters about our situation here, on the other hand, notify Commander Li to send troops for support!”

”But Captain, aren’t Commander Li and his troops ordinary people, is it really appropriate for them to join?”

Liu San asked the captain doubtfully, usually, the Special Security Bureau’s missions were confidential and wouldn’t even mention seeking support from regular soldiers.

Because the Special Security Bureau’s operations had always been coordinated with special forces, who not only received special training but were also equipped excellently.

So Liu San was naturally puzzled.
